Its possible you cover them in the video but I am still a little confused. My question is, should the CLICK and the MUSIC tracks be routed to BUS 1 (the mix bus send) or BUS 3 (The cloud send)? My understanding is that the delay plugin delays the backing track and the click by the desired amount to sync with the delayed recorded audio from the artists computer. Is that right? But then once you have made the manual time ofset corrections, do you need to turn the sample plugin off? Thanks again. Dave.

I've been asked to use this plug by a client and I'm a little concerned by the idea that the delay offset changes over the course of a session (due to fluctuations in bandwidth?). In our case we'll be doing percussion ODubs, so the timing will be more critical than otherwise. In your experience how often has this needed to be addressed?

What I tend to do for sessions is that right before I do a series of punch ins I check the delay by jumping back to the start of the session and getting the artist to turn on the bus 3 (return audio) then I go ahead and do a bunch of punch ins. The delay generally will stay pretty solid if you and your artist are on wired connection, it’s only really on wifi that it can be dependent on how many users are on the network. One thing that could be handy is to get your artist to play 4 beats along with the session before each take, that way you will know where they are hearing the click. Best of luck with your session! Hey Juan, any delay plugin will work, even the stock pro-tools or logic ones, you can just change your counter to samples instead of min/seconds and put the delay in samples into the pro-tools ones
Hey there I've inserted the Send and Receive plugins on AUX Channels then I bus the Receive to 2 x Mono Audio Channels. In the case of guitar, you can do DI on Cloud Rec 1 and if the artist has an amp sim / plugin, send that on Cloud Rec 2.

Hola Antonio, this is a serious tutorial. I have two questions: a) is it possible to record at the source (performer side) as well at the same time? The local (performer) take could be the best, since avoids packets lost in the web; b) have you tried to create Protools playlists with this software? I tried with Source Connect and their RTS does not recognize loop record.
Hi Juan, thank you for the compliments, to answer your questions A) Yes the sender can record locally at the same time, as I have in their session a local input track that they can monitor, put plugins on etc so you could just hit record on that, B) I've created playlists while tracking to do quick multiple passes and I believe loop record works as the audiomovers receive channel is on an auxilary so it will keep receiving regardless of the playhead position. I've tried multiple solutions and I still think that Audiomovers does the job most efficiently with minimal interruption to workflow. Hope this helps! Antonio.

Audiomovers looks much more to be done for musicians than Source Connect, which was thought basically for Voive over, podcasts, etc. I suppose that synching the recording on the performer side should be easy just nudging the recorded track to the ptroper place. @@dmahora Hey Juan, if you were recording on the performers side, you could either hit record and leave it recording (then you'd have each take in a long line (like a tape machine) or you could start / stop, the takes would line up with the incoming audio from the producers send (which you could also record). For all of my sessions though I think it takes a lot of stress off the performer if I do all the delay compensation / synching on my end and they just perform each take along with the incoming audio. Source connect is great if you want to have something like a remote party (director or producer for example) on the call with a simple talkback solution but I've never recored the Audio coming back down source connect as having the website and plugin open seems like more effort than it's worth.
Hi there, are you using the session I included or have you made your own template? If you are in pro tools, you may need to re-route the output of mixbus play to “headphones 1-2”’or whatever your main output of your interface is. Hope this helps!

Just got the AM plugin and want to collaborate with my friend who plays keys, so he could do keys overdubs and i could add drums, etc. so we'd both be the producer and the artist so to speak:)
Is the delay plugin necessary if it’s just on the playback channel? You’ve already compensated for it by nudging it so I’m not sure why the delay is necessary unless I’m missing something
It’s necessary so that he can hear it in time while recording. He can’t nudge it earlier in time if it hasn’t been fully recorded yet, so he hast to scoot the playback of everything else over while monitoring during the recording. Once he does the nudge afterward, the delay is not necessary as long as he’s not recording.

Complicated. I just use audiomovers on the clients machine for me to listen to, and then use remote control on zoom to control their computer. Record it all on their machine, then they send me the DAW file. done.
Hey there, totally understandable and I've done the same for projects where we're tracking drums and it makes more sense to remote control a machine, the benefit of tracking into my system is that I can manage takes, comp parts and often clients are on Logic or Ableton etc which makes remote controlling their computer way clunkier than dealing with the latency :D
I use this exact method with my clients since the pandemic started, I think this is the best way. And when sessionwire add remote control to their software it'll be even better to have everything in one box 👍🏾👍🏾
Hey there, the Delay plugin I used was the KiloHertz one that's included in the slate digital bundle but you can do it with any delay plugin really. With the Stock pro Tools delay plugin you could just put the offset in samples (change your counter to be samples instead of min/sec and you can work out how many samples to delay your playback by).
Hi man, I purchased 1 x licence and I use my login for both me and my client! I change the session name for each client which changes the stream link. That means that once my session is done with one client they won't hear my next session if they accidentally opened the old link. - Hope this helps!
