I find the differences between hospital/birthing centers in the US & the UK so interesting. In the US, where I am we don't have gas and air and when I had my babies we weren't allowed any food or water in the hospital once labor starts. I would love to see two friends, one from each country, get together and discuss the differences. Anyway good luck Kate! I can't believe you're almost done with this pregnancy. I guess because you announced it pretty far in it seems like it's flown by. I can't wait to see your new little man!

This video was perfect timing! I'm almost 38 weeks and finalising my hospital bag and it's nice to see that what I plan to pack is very similar- even down to the primark nightdresses!! X
I had my hospital bag all packed and ready , hand fan , Evian water spray to cool me down in labour, nighties and disposable cameras to capture moments . I was that quick in labour i didn't even get the chance to use anything! I had to push in the assessment room ! I'm currently 14 weeks with number 2 , midwifes have said this time I might be quicker 😬 I loved organising my hospital bag and will be definitely be using your tick list xx

I packed WAY too much stuff in my bag, and after labour I couldn't move around enough to unpack all the bags and find all my stuff 😂 next time I'll pack more pjs and snacks! The flip flops for the shower thing is a good idea, I didn't even think of that 😩

You should think about packing an extra bag with clothes for you and the baby incase you have to stay longer and asking the other half to pack or find stuff when your in hospital can be a nightmare haha I'd just pack one to leave in your house. I ended up being in hospital nearly 13 days due to Pre-eclampsia and hypertension with my little boy. Otherwise your list is perfect :) You look stunning in this video and all the best, hopefully it will be as fast as last time for you! :) x

With my first I gave birth 14 minutes after arriving in the birthing centre and in the triage room. I had laboured for 24 hours at home before. Wearing a vest top and cardigan! With my son I was induced early because of blood pressure and was only 2 hours of labour after induction started!
Also both times I really wanted a shower afterwards! I felt sweaty and horrible and a shower, hair wash, a tiny bit of makeup and new pjs made me feel a bit more human!
I was induced with my daughter a week early and was in labour for 40 minutes and definitely agree to needing a shower. I stayed for one night and had a shower before I went in to be induced, had one early hours after giving birth and then one the day after before going home. ❤
