Minimally invasive surgery can cure early lung cancers

  • Cancer centers across the country do minimally invasive surgical procedures for people with early-stage lung cancers almost 89 percent of the time. But in Syracuse at the Upstate Cancer Center, it’s 100 percent of the time. Jason Wallen, MD, explains why this is good news for patients. He’s the medical director of the lung cancer and thoracic oncology program at the Upstate Cancer Center.
