I absolutely love the breakdown, so simple and so good. Great video Darrell, you never disappoint!
I always tune in primarily to hear you play, and secondarily to see what cool equipment you are reviewing. Both are always such a treat!
Kevin
Probably weird to say but the emotion you put into your playing is something that I personally appreciate in every single video you post!
Thanks SC! I really appreciate it
Yes, I agree! We look forward to what you'll have to share like it's a favorite TV show or Hockey Night in Canada! You're getting big Darrell! Congrats!
I guess it's time to go to the store again.
I love you Darrell, your content is super high quality
Great video. The breakdown is an amazing pedal. I have been using it for about a month now and i love how the dirtier settings really clean up with volume knob or pedal. Super cool.
They both sound to me like they have some speaker distortion emulation. Like a Jenson pushed really hard. But not at ear-destroying volume!
That definitely lives up to some classic and almost bluesy rock indeed my man! Great work as always, I might even want one now!
Man I’ve been watching you for a while and apart for my dad and Ace Frehley you have really inspired me!
I love when danelectro makes a great heavy duty pedal. These are seriously cool
Nice! Been looking at the Breakdown... great playing as always Darrel!
Thanks!
Super vid bro!! Now you've gone
and done it, now I gots to get me a
"Breakdown" pedal for sure!!
Danelectro should be thanking you
big time!! I know I am!! Keep it up!!
Thanks NM!
Glad to help :)
awesome, now i want to get an eisenhower fuzz
The Breakdown pedal instantly got my attention. It would definetly would be good for southern rock and blues, i need to get one in the future. Good video Darrell!
Thanks JG!
that fuzz pedal is absolutely amazing geesus. and the sculpt setting sounded like an exaggeration of metallica tone
i'm going to buy this pedal
I love guitars! I wish i could get one . And nice video! 🖤
The best part of every DBG video is "Hope you're having a great day today!" Oh and can you do your pedalboard review?
Wonderful video as usual
Thanks Brandon!
Darrell, the pedals sound great, but your main Strat is pure silk, it really sings! I can't believe those are the original factory pickups...
Dig it! I like these two
Hey Darrell .i recently watched some videos about Brian May's "red special" guitar . And i was amazed with its capabilities . For those who didn't know its got 3 pickups and each pickup has two switches , one is on/off and the other is in/out of phase .that means that you can make soo many different combos creating unique sounds .so I thought it would be really cool in case you make a new build in the future to make it feature a similar pickup/electronics layout .it would be awesome . Btw i love you channel! Both the info and of course yoyr playing ! :)
I usually don't like fuzz that much, but I'm really liking what I'm hearing with the Eisenhower... There's a synth-like quality to it, very fuzzy but also kind of clean-sounding too, if that makes sense. Great demo!
that sweet classic sound
Just discovered your channel, I really like what you put out. You should definitely have way more subs than you have. Have a good one 🤙🏻
Thanks Nolan!
Glad you are here :)
Not feeling the Fuzz all that much but I am all about the Breakdown.
Yeah me thinks the same! The DOD Carcosa can give more fuzz options for less money but that Breakdown is just asking for my money big time! Lots of good stuff in that simple control box!
Try the Wayhuge Angry Troll you know that boost pedal with five fists of anger 💥
Opposite
All these vids make me wanna buy all of this, but I have no money,so I just dream about having the pedals and playing like you and wait for the next vedio :D
Well done and thanks for sharing brother! Be Well D!
Thanks Steven!
Hope you are well too! 👍😎
Love your playing style
2015 TRADITIONAL 😍, love this sound.
Nice pedals I love the sound of the fuzz. What is going on with you frets they look terrible at 6:52 or is that just a reflection ?
What is the model of the Tele with the Filtertrons?
Do they sound like this without the amp? like in line?
Hey Darrell, the pamphlet that comes with the Breakdown says The breakdown works by hitting the front of the amp and causing the input stages of our amp to break up. What does this mean? I am not about to hit any amp I have. The cost too much to replace them. Can you explain this hitting the front of the amp suggestion?
Love your informative chanel and your playing Darrell. I have taken some of your reccomendations on board (including 'the cheap as chips' 15 watt valve amp and Squire upgrades) Is that a Canadian accent you have?
👍🇨🇦
I guess the Eisenhower is a Super Fuzz or ultimate Octave/ or Octavia clone. Sounds pretty sweet! The breakdown is nice too, I'd like a little more sustain out of it though. I think It's push it with a germanium booster 😃
You should do a Jackson Soloist SL3X or SLX review. I just got one, and with a Pro setup this guitar screams "shred me all day"!
The 6th position on the overdrive pedal is almost into fuzz territory. Would anyone else agree? That’s what I kinda heard!
View #999. 😷👍 #112. Love the tones you're getting.
Adorei 👍
LOL, there were no pedal boards in the 70s! :)
imo
WHUH!
Great stuff!
imo
Thanks so much CN!!
pedal relicking, what next guitars.... uh nevermind
Cable relicing.
Hmm I may be a bit of a greybeard but I always thought the early days of rock were the mid/late50s. Hmm:)
I really don't like the "roadworn/aged" finish on these pedals.
Is the Eisenhower a tone bender clone?
Sounds more like a univox super fuzz.
@@codyshaffer3962 hmm
Nicely done demo, as usual, Darrel, but for the pedals themselves, my response is … meh. Not bad, not especially good. I know there are players out there who end up with collections of pedals, and / or who get really enthused about a particular effect, but I'm not among them. I have an overdrive pedal and a tremolo pedal, both seeing limited use. I'm just not that much of a fan of FX.
Doesnt seem right to do fuzz without a strat
They are not soft switch!!! Why do these keep being advertise as soft switch. No doubt about it they sound amazing but they are not soft switch
Janis Joplin
Neither are really my cup of tea
