Styx: hey look it's Pepe!!
me: "the Great Plan must continue...Chaos must be destroyed..."
Make gardening great again🇺🇸👍🏻
I really dig your garden videos. It’s a much needed break from the crap and chaos going on in our country. Thanks Styx.
Ditto
I just started my first ever garden with my wife and I showed her this video for inspiration. We have 4 beds in the backyard with okra, cucumbers, tomatoes, squash, turnips, peppers, etc…
I'm working on a garden this year for the first time enjoyed the update.
It’s gonna be a hell of an arc watching this turn into a gardening channel. 10 years, old man Styx the hippy gardening dude. Doing ad reads for fertilisers. It will be wholesome, good viewing.
My mom is 85 and still gardens great therapy....
I had to take maintenance of my elderly mother's garden. I like it, especially the shrubs
Same with my Mother
My Papa is 79 & he is still working in his garden, too. It's probably 2× the size of this year's Hexenhammer garden.
I very much enjoy your garden updates!!!! ❤ I have a friend who is a Certified Master Gardener and she enjoys some of the "new" info that I learn from you! Nettle water is a phenomenal concept and she's going to implement it in her gigantic garden!!!! ROCK ON STYX-MON!!!!!!!
Lookin' good, praise Kek.
I enjoy your garden videos as a nice break from the crazy world. I have tried to grow veggies in my backyard but I am the angel of death where plants are concerned.
Beats the hell out of CHAZ 2.0.
Beautiful land, Styx. I'm happy for the bounty you'll reap.
Outstanding garden Styx!
Pure awesomeness 😊
9/10 NEEDS SUNFLOWERS!!!
Nice garden, man.
👑
He's leaving himself open to zombies without them.
Garden looking good! I planted the one Paw Paw I successfully sprouted. Hopefully I'll get my hands on another to try and propagate. It is our state fruit. 😊
Starting my garden soon, gotta fix some stuff with the new house we just built
Yay another garden update
Beautiful garden Styx ❤
Man i could pick your brain for hours with gardening questions
Love Boy Toys 😊
Awesome!!!
I am with you about liking greens. I also love to fix the leaves of sweet potatoes like greens. They are so yummy.
I just came in from watering & got super excited because 4 of my 6 asparagus have shoots. It is my first time & I can't harvest for a few years but I'm happy to have finally gotten some to grow.
Lookin good Styx! Better get some trellises for all those cucumbers.
💚💚💚
Looks great and I like the brick edging. I feel so sorry for gardeners in the northeast. Such a short time to do it all. I’ve already pulled my onions, harvested some zucchini, dug potatoes and I picked my first tomato. I am so jealous of your biochar.
Styx - it's not too late to sow another lot of beets if you're not happy with what you have. Try sowing the seed in a container somewhere protected from wind etc, in a plastic bag, or a bit of cling wrap over to raise the humidity. Great garden 👍
My zucchini was under a clear tarp because of squirrels. Now the leaves are massive. Added a 5th bed, 6 if you count the haphazard one that's mostly horse manure that we put some pumpkin seeds into.
Long long time sub. More garden content, this is brilliant 🇬🇧
Looking good!! As for the bunnies, I use cayenne pepper. Sprinkle the plants in the early morning when there is some dew. One bite and they are off and running! I do let a patch of clover growing so they can eat that instead.
I love red basil too, it' seems milder and sweeter than green
Just maintaining my perennials right now. Fucking apt living. Still, the little coffee is doing well in the window. Lost the Tea Plant though. The Red Gooseberry even bloomed in it's little pot and the yellow raspberry is doing great. Not sure about the blackberry, there is still some green on one cane at the bottom. My wife's snowball bush is blooming too. The butterfly bushes are slow coming out but showing new growth. The irises are hanging in there. We had to leave so much behind. Every little bit brings joy.
You've inspired me Styx. Today I made an offer on a lot. I'm chasing that Spanish pipe dream.
Mucha suerte!
Nice. I tilled some and separated my mint, lemon balm and bee balm. I don't do much vegetable but I grow an insane amount of aromatics like ginger and horseradish
Looks good. Our garden is going in this weekend. We are further north (kingson, Ontario).
Luv the garden videos. Your garden is coming along nicely.
I wish I could have a set up like yours. I had to resort to a greenhouse and pots because the wildlife eats everything I put in the ground.
Love these vids
You won't have to stop gardening as you get older. Just use raised beds. I got a very late start this year but fortunately here in central Louisiana we have a long growing season. Although there was a hailstorm on Mother's Day. Lasted all of five minutes but it came down hard with pea sized hail and destroyed many gardens. But like I said I did get a late start so all of my seedlings which are currently in trays will be fine barring any other freakish weather.
kewl stuff bra, luck to you
AY UP STYX
Just a hint, With the plants in the grass, make the beds square about 15" and just use the mower to trim around. Blow the grass into the plants to form a mulch. The same for the regular beds blow the grass onto the beds to rot between the cuttings. For context 1" of grass clippings will go away into the soil in two weeks if the soil is moist and fertile. Don't worry about it pulling N2 from the upper layer. It is when you add more than two inches and let it mat that it becomes a problem. In the fall mulch the beds with a mix of grass and leaves and let the worms eat it over the winter. In spring just separate the mulch about 4" from the seedlings. Find a neighbor who has chickens and especially if the bed in wood shavings and use that as a thin top dressing. Not more than 1" thick and no closer than 4" from the plant stem.
You might need a shed for your produce and tools. Perhaps as a studio even. Thank you for your work. UKUK
More gardening content!!!
Better than the SFO’s garden.
Wanted to thank you for talking about azomite in an earlier video. My strawberries are amazing this year because of it. My garden has what yours does, except okra. That's for sure survival food. Got lots of cool oriental greens for stir fry too, my friend participates in a seed exchange, they're really pretty besides being edible. If you have time, try some broccoli raab, it's working better than broccoli where I am because it's a single stalk, so I can harvest before it bolts.
Carrots sprout within a week for me but I plant them in early fall when it’s still hot outside.
I get so many recommendations from peppers these videos just makes me think I hope you have backup and ammo to defend your stronghold when SHTF.
Free compost.
Yo Pepe! 🐸
Styx, I'm using the gopher hawk product to unalive them gophers. It's caught 3 so far.
First. Stopped snowing I see
First grade? Seriously?
chive flowers are great in a salad , do soak them in water though to get the piss ants out
Consider growing ginseng, it takes a few years to mature, but the profit margin can be quite large after harvest.
Make sure you innoculate that char with compost or compost tea.
Styx's parents house. Mom planted the seeds.
Mclovinit ❤
I hope you don't have to deal with the pest & disease pressure that we have in Georgia.
pepe be with you
AWSOME. Gorgeous. I live in Texas and my lettuce has died. But I experimented with potatoes. I had some that were growing eyes so I quartered them and planted them and I got a bumper crop. Also green onion did well.
I used 30 self watering containers and produced more than enough for a few years. Then the rats moved in and I need to figure it out.
StyxGardenHammer666 24hr garden live stream when? Like tim pool does with his chickens. Styx and his suspenders and straw hat!!!!!!
😁👍
Have you tried to make comfry tea for fertilizer. Smelly as shut but great organic fertilizer.
No notice on this one.
Unfortunately, my garden doesn't seem to be making much progress even though I'm watering them as needed (with some fish emulsion) and have them in full sun.
They're still alive, which is a hood sign, but I'm beginning to worry.
Meem oil ..once a week
Nice garden Styx, which growing zone are you in,? I'm in 6, and having trouble with some varieties, like broccoli and cucumbers.
Use coco coir instead of sphagnum moss.
I don't see any mulch, or is the char the mulch? Any gooseberry? But OMG, this is a fantastic, beautiful garden!!!!
Don't use mulch it's acidic if it's not treated for years
I bought a Carolina reaper 🌶️ and am going to die when it bears fruits 💀
Get a goat. Imagine the pooh.
You need horseradish!
Yaaaassssssss!!!
But...What about the Cannabis?
Who tends garden when you are in Amsterdam
Do you make nettle tea ?
Do you direct seed all veg or do you start seed indoors and transplant?
They don't work man.
I feel like I'm watching Stardew Valley.
🌱 Stardew Valley: Hexenhammer Edition 🌱
Styx is your wife family coming to v ote here since d oj allowing immi grants to vo te?
I’ll help you and Dad eat turnips. Just saying
And also collards
Me too!
Low-key full of disappoint that the didn't plant any rutabaga or kohlrabi this year.
Bet you can grow some good refer... I'd buy from ya. Hell yeah
I wish I had a yard that wasn’t almost completely shaded by 3 giant trees haha. I have a very small garden on the side of the house that should get me a tiny little harvest
How's your XWife and Daughter Doing Donkey Brain Demon ??? NO your NOT Winning Anything LOL HAHAHAHAHA !!
