Entropia Universe: Why NOT To Do Mission Galactica! Adjusted Restoration Chip + Devine Intervention

Today StevieB talks to us about Mission Galactica and why new players should avoid getting involved. While it may seem like a mission chain designed to help you progress through the game nothing could be further from the truth.
This 10 stage mission catches people off guard. Stage 1 requires 5,000 vibrant sweat in exchange for a token. However this token is usually useless and is a waste for new players.
Stage 2 requires 5,000 animal muscle oil costing 150 PED. Stage 3 5,000 animal eye oil costing 250 PED. Stage 4 5,000 animal thyroid oil costing 500 PED and stage 5 cost 5,000 adrenal oil which is 1,000 PED. These are all TT values which do NOT include mark up!
Stage 6 is the point you can actually stop and get the Adjusted Restoration Chip. To complete stage 6 you need 200 Bio ID's which is 3,200 PED! This is why these mindforce chips often go for about 5,100 PED on auction. That's more or less the TT value it takes to create it not including mark up.
At stage 6 you can get a bonus mission to hunt Devine Creatures on several planets. Completing this mission also gets you the Devine Intervention Chip.
If you keep going you can complete stage 7 with 5,000 animal liver oil costing 5,000 PED. Stage 8 requires 500 rad conveyors with a TT value of 8,500 PED! After stage 8 you can get the Improved Restoration Chip.
For those insane, or with deep enough pockets, you can keep going. Stage 9 requires 1,000,000 metal residue which is 10,000 PED! That's 1,000 USD!
Stage 10 requires 1,000 vacuum flux energy generators. These are 25 PED each meaning you need 25,000 PED TT to complete stage 10! This is also a rare item with very few on auction and a mark up well over 200%!
If you can handle all that you are rewarded with a Modified Restoration Chip. A virtual healing tool that cost over $5,000 USD! Is it worth it? Well like most things in this real cash economy PC based MMORPG that depends. If you have the time, and money, maybe.
Depending on your goals and how you farm the items maybe this could be one of those great uber items that helps you become the best there ever was. For most players, especially new players, Mission Galactica is a waste of time and resources.
If you need these nice mindforce chips simply save up, buy them off auction on planet Calypso and enjoy the game instead.
Remember PED has real cash value and EU is one of the few games that can help you make real money but you have to play smarter; not harder.

Good info here. I had never looked at the mission Galactica and had just assumed it was some kind of epic mission chain I would do later. It's kind of silly that they made this such a prominent part of the UI as if it's just normal player activity, it's not normal to spend enough money to buy a used car on a single mission chain haha
When you add mu on top of it, your talking about a really nice one owner low millage used car.

I did that mission chain not too long ago. I'm excited thinking it's my name you saw on there. I bought the token to do the mission off the market at a lower price than handing in the items. Then I just bought the bio ID slowly over like 1.5 years. When going to the howling mines, you do not have to take your BIO ID just talk to him to activate the mission then take the bio ID to ANY pirate. I almost shit my pants going through space with the BIO ID I took over a year to get. The divine beasts missions is still working. But you need to have A LOT OF HIGH LEVEL ARMOR for that along with a good weapon. I'm way too low level/armor to kill any divine mob.

Thanks a huge bunch for this information, Stevie. I am one of the fools handing in the sweat, and starting to collect muscle oil. That was a long time ago. Then I looked a bit ahead, crunched some numbers, and immediately abandoned this chain. My numbers had not a AH house reference for the restoration chips, but I figured that the values ranged in the 4 figures .... USD. I would go for the grind for a UL rare uber weapon, but not for a healing chip. Sure, it is useful, but there are so many chips around which do a great job as well, and are orders of magnitude cheaper. This mission is only one for the books if you are an uber in my humble opinion. Anyway, thanks again a lot for all that info. Keep up the great work, and "hater juice" is the mark of your channel, don't give that up. I love it :D

People run the adjusted chain at a loss to grind the divine bonus mission and make their costs back that way.
With the improved and modified chips, you are making the mistake of assuming that those year/decade prices will be current market value. They won’t. The price those improved and modified chips will retail on auction for will be dependent on the markup on the materials to make it at that time, at a minimum.
It would also been good if you researched the mechanics behind the mission hand ins as well. You don’t need to ever transport any of the mats across Lootable space, you can hand them in at any space station. You just need to hand in the coin at the howling mine.
“If you want a mod chip just buy one from somebody” yeah ok good luck finding somebody that’s selling, and I guarantee you it won’t be for 54k lol.
Imagine my frustrations when this mission was introduced to the game and had no official info about it and no info about how it goes or what it takes to finish it. Not even the info about the reward at the end. I made it up to blue coin expecting some kind of reward. But this shit went on asking 5k adrenal oil and I decided to stop there, made a support case and forum thread asking WTF is this and when it ends :). Told to MA that some people dont have 20k ped to spend and than see what the reward is and later on they decided to put the list of requirements and mission chain on the official page finally.
Almost done with whole chain. The grind has been great for my skills. Ive broken just about even so far. So i guess it all depends on your playstyle and the number one rule….are you having fun? If not then its just another job

its TT values of all items needed ... thats why .. i made adj chip in 2015 and i got all cost covered in 6 months playing + you can make divine chip is free allmost (kill 5 different divine mobs on 5 planests)
BTW those chips are best items in entropia that evryone can get, without competing !!!!
