Thanks for the videos Scotty, I'm a long time 8'ish+ years newb/low playing character exactly as you described! TBH I started on Caly trying to be the best miner after getting quite a few globals. Hit a huge Oil global that led me to travelling through Space to Arkadia! Been on Ark for a few years now progressing through the IFN payback missions for the dropship, and also got a mentorship too that I've almost completed! For reference I'm around Level 12 Pistol User, Miner, Healer, and ofc Lvl 7 Sweater. I still really enjoy the game it's like Morrowind in Space, and there's still all the other planets to visit (2/6 so far). Thanks for reading
That is how everyone should see it. I never plan on taking money out of the game so making money means nothing. To me its the Adventure. I have been to every planet, but i am still finding cool stuff that i never knew about. I'm about 9ish years myself, still just exploring :) Oh if you're hunting tiny guys, get like 1 draw of sweat from either every or every few mobs. You never know when you might need the sweat for PED or even just for crafting. Take care mate! :D
You are making good job making intereseting videos, dont get discouraged by less views. UA-cam is a hard place to push through and it is all about being consistent. I am following multiple youtubers that were at couple hundred views every video, but they kept being consistent uploading couple times per week and got up to tens of thousands subcribers in couple years...
Very small market really. Views are on point with possible outreach. Especially in American/European market, P2W is still a laden concept, where whales are ridiculed by the masses, that don't have loose money laying around and where spending 100 euro's per night on alcohol in a cafe is considered the norm, but spending 20% of that on a game per night is called wasting money. IMO f2p shouldn't be encouraged, as it is a waste of time, but focus should be on the investment of your skills, which will cost you money, being a new player will cost you money too. That is what people should know.
@@ForgottenGames it is on everyone if they want to play F2P or paying money. There are ways to skill basically for free or for a very small cost. I am doing dailies on NI and i am profiting in longrun while also skilling… Yes you can lose a lot of money in the game if you just play and dont think about efficiency, but it is a thing of choice. I rather dono 50$ per month and get about same ammount back than paying 60-100$ for a game that is dead in couple months or 15$ per month for a pay to play game. At the end it is still a game and it is supposed to be fun, if you are having fun, it is all that matters.
Being honest, I quit playing because of the toxicity of the "bigger" players. So your words are a breath of fresh air to be certain. May actually step in again...
Those bigger players are trying to make money from the game. Gain enjoyment and maybe explore. Treat it as another universe. Seperate the PED from actual money and enjoy the scifi aspects of the game :) If you do come back, we should swunt something with a cool item on it. If we find it, you keep it ^_^

Hey Scotty, i appreciate your view on the subject and agree with it, and it is awesome that you just dropped an original thought video for us. Everyone plays how they want, there is no right or wrong way. Hopefully this video blows up to any new players that need to hear this
I felt like it was needed. Its an amazing game, but i feel there is alot of negativity that is fueled by greed and envy. Its a fun universe to hang out in, I love it.
Hey Scotty_C93 I have been playing since 2009 and some players from my old society were exactly like that. When new players ask me if they should do this or that, I always tell them first you should do what you want to do. Try the game explore you don't have to deposit at all for that.
I quit Scotty, sold it all. Had over a 10k usd setup and only killed mobs under 900hp. It worked out fine for me. Have fun, SOCIALIZE, it takes time to build skills, or pay to get them. Then just enjoy it. Don't get lost in the sauce of needing to skill up so fast to hit huge things. That means you need 10k plus ped just in the card to get threw the waves. it is but its not a one weekend and done endevour, it takes TIME and lots of frinding, there are people in the game to help get you started called Mentors, Seek them out, but also do your diligence
@@bejglis well the thinf is, this game depends very heavly on your skills and how you progress them, for a free to play player realisticly slim to none, low depo , slight possibility, high depo even , not likley you will see profit, this game as i said is slow and steady, and unlike some games, the advantage a high deposit has is very limited by kills, so even if you spent 1000$ US initially, your still limited by your skill levels.
