Hope you guys enjoy this the intensity out there was psycho!! Every set some one was sending! For size reference it was 12-15ft with occasional 20ft sweeping tow sets i almost got caught by one! Enjoy!

Could you do a breakdown of this session?
Nate... how do causally walk down the street with that huge set of steel balls in your pants? Seriously, on the 2nd days clip where you had 2 back to back wipe outs and then made one. Only people out are towing and a couple boogieboarders and then there's you! Paddling into multi level ledges onto the reef and you're charging like it's a small day at Pipe... steel balls Nate, steel balls!

The intensity of the wave, the noise and the power aren't really well transcripted on videos and Nathan makes it look so easy.
I was on the boat just outside his last barrel, it was nuts. This wave is so scary and powerful and Nat was chatting and laughing in the water with the red helmet boogie like he was walking down the street..

@Nathan next time when you do an explanation video, can you explain how a lineup works on these days? Everyone seems to know who`s going. Can you also mention about the jetski driver, how that works, do you shift and how are they paid?

Something that could be cool would be mixing in a few clips from out on the channel if you can find them and showing them after the pov waves just so we can get a better idea of how they look from different perspectives. This video is crazy enough without that though unreal content brother

I'm glad we got to see a wipeout. You weren't underwater form more than 20 seconds, which is an eternity if you're gassed, but still not what I expected from a legendary/dangerous wave like that.

It's trippy how the POV doesn't really make things look that critical, but then when you see the shots of the waves from the channel, you see how much it's firing.

Imagine being some easy going villager way back when just fishing out there on a canoe not realising you were right in the impact zone and just copping some 15ft bomb on the head.
The extremely steep drop that I could never imagine making, the legs up in the air as you wipe out, seeing your board appear as it's broken in half, the angel on the ski with the outstretched hand, the smiles, the insanity, the absolute fear I'm feeling sat here on my sofa. Thanks for some of the most original content I have ever seen. I hope you're not risking these late take-offs for us at home to enjoy. I love your videos so thank you. I also understand everyone has to make a living, so please know that what I say here I say respectfully. I don’t want to watch videos that promote online gambling. It is a huge social problem where I live (Australia) and is taking a heavy toll on people’s lives (including children who have no control over their parents’ choices). Online gambling companies are trying to get into every corner of people’s minds and I don’t think it is making the world a better place.
What a nice video. It shows the real surf. Outside of competitions and for those who never surfed nails down how is it. This is "one of the fastest wave on earth"... Thank you so much brother for sharing the entire video without editing it.

2:19 was by far the sickest wave POV I’ve ever seen, from the drop in, to the turn around in the barrel, then air out the back of the wave nearly hitting that dude (who I think is Eimeo Czermak) and turning last second and continues to paddle to the break again … wtf

I used to bodyboard a shore break with waves similar to these waves in shape, but they where around 4ft to 6ft in height normal ft btw haha. When I used to stack I remember going over the falls and landing on the sand bar sometimes harder then others but nothing to bad. I try to imagine what it would be like going over the falls, hitting the reef then getting exploded on one of these monsters. Your courage is admirable to say the least, also would you be able to share with us your thoughts on hitting the bottom at Teahupoo or Pipe or just in general?

This video is insane!! 🤯 GoPro shots make the wave look so much smaller than it's real size. The intensity of this wave is huge! I can't wait till the day I make my own POV videos in Teahupo'o. I know Billy Kemper is one of y’all‘s boys, I’m living in Mississippi and I’m about to show my son the documentary of his injury because 8 months ago I had a brain injury skateboarding. I know this sounds a little weird because I’m 44 but if you read this tell Billy if he would start a channel I think a lot of older surfers would like to see how Melvin for kids pulls it off!!! I’ve got four and we just got back from the beach and it was hard pulling a vacation off cut imagine surfing with four kids. Subscribe and light Nathan‘s channel I still need to live vicariously through the surfing community. 😎
