Exactly! Most people seem to not understand that. But I will say that once a cancer evolves and learns how to express their needs etc and if it is not being received then they will walk away after they have had their limit. At times we are understanding and do everything in our power to deescalate the situation out of love for u. We care more and love way more you can fathom. Personally, I sometimes forget that other people aren’t as aware of how they come off to people or as aware of other people’s feelings as I am, because I read others so well and the first thing I’m always doing is reading others and making sure they’re good and happy in every scenario, so I sometimes don’t understand not everyone reads a room or a person that well. Hey, about the hot and cold aspect of being a cancer, the part when you said we don't know if we want to be consoled or not, here's my point of view: if a cancer hasn't accomplished a level of self awareness that may be very true. In relationships I am difficult to get out of moods when I get in them. But I always tell my woman I'm dating the key to winning me over. That's the self awareness part, knowing yourself and being honest with you. For me, talking doesn't work when me and my lady have conflicts. Reason being, women often try to slip in something that's not reassuring-meaning they add to the fire, either on purpose or inadvertently. Example: we are arguing because of social media and likes. I shut down and won't talk. My lady apologies, and keeps talking after the apology. Most likely, the woman will try to rationalize 1 minute into me getting comfortable. I get irritated, because I'm not looking for excuses or conversation, I've already seen it for what it is and accepted her. So I always tell my woman if I'm in a funk, just hold me and shut up... They do not listen, they try to make me see their point once we both get comfortable. To me, actions speak louder than words. If I don't agree with something my partner does, then I can leave or accept it. So for me cuddling is all I need, not conversation. P.S. I understand other zodiac signs like to talk things out. I’m a cancer and these things are all so true! As far as cancers bottling things up, we totally do and it is not fair to others most times. Hey, about the hot and cold aspect of being a cancer, the part when you said we don't know if we want to be consoled or not, here's my point of view: if a cancer hasn't accomplished a level of self awareness that may be very true. In relationships I am difficult to get out of moods when I get in them. But I always tell my woman I'm dating the key to winning me over. That's the self awareness part, knowing yourself and being honest with you. For me, talking doesn't work when me and my lady have conflicts. Reason being, women often try to slip in something that's not reassuring-meaning they add to the fire, either on purpose or inadvertently.
Example: we are arguing because of social media and likes.
I shut down and won't talk.
My lady apologies, and keeps talking after the apology.
Most likely, the woman will try to rationalize 1 minute into me getting comfortable.
I get irritated, because I'm not looking for excuses or conversation, I've already seen it for what it is and accepted her.
So I always tell my woman if I'm in a funk, just hold me and shut up... They do not listen, they try to make me see their point once we both get comfortable. To me, actions speak louder than words. If I don't agree with something my partner does, then I can leave or accept it. So for me cuddling is all I need, not conversation.

I'm a Capricorn sun and even I can't stand their moodiness, I know they're a fairly okay sign & we're compatible...but once you get into a relationship with one(from own experience) you realize they can have the stupidest logic ever in arguments I'm not hating I swear, but the guy I had a fling with in the past would be like "it's not even about being real it's how what you say makes me feel" another iconic line from him "it's not about what you think is right for you it's about how sometimes you don't even care" (This is a time he wanted me to drop everything for him) my life which (mind you) I had before him should halt for his Highness! they're so entitled and needy. You also literally feel like you're walking on eggshells around them when you say no or try to be realistic or try to keep healthy boundaries...also they ocassionally use their neediness to manipulate you. And if you don't fall for it they take it personally. Too busy being moody and insecure to be levelheaded.
I'm a very fend for yourself type of person and always kept my shit together so this all was suffocating to a point. Babysitting somebody's mood swings is not what I signed up for. Personally I don't think water signs are compatible with me... my best intimate relationships so far have been with Taurus and a Libra
I’m a Cancer and I currently date an Aquarius. I’ve learned to control my moodiness. All in all Cancers and Aquarius just needs to learn how to understand each other. We sit and have deep conversations for hours. I know Aquarius’s hate random/emotional outbreaks so I made sure he understood me from the beginning of the relationship. Dating Aquarius’s helped me learn how to not be as emotional.
