Laura Surovik :), I love her. I heard her interview following the loss of Dawn... that's a real friend... and the other behind the scenes of the believe show... I sincerely believe they care about the whales! Is captivity wrong? YES. But, I'm talking about the people who choose to work with and care for these majestic creatures.
@@chocolatefudge9 That’s an entirely different situation, though. Of course animals who have a disability or issue that would mean a slow, miserable death in the wild should be taken care of if possible. That is not what happened with orcas, though. They were perfectly fine before humans got involved and when humans got involved it was not to help the orcas. It was purely for money and greed.
It's like a glimpse of "PARADISE," where man and wild will love and hug each other! Seaworld, do not be afraid; you did heal many people from depression more than you know. Or there are more advantages, the whales teach us to be a better person and to work for stronger family ties like them.
Humans killed, stole, and trapped dozens of orcas. Katina, Corky, Tilikum, Ulises, Kiska, Nootka, Kandu, Tokitae, and the many others had their own families in the wild. They were torn from their mothers, their fathers, their sisters, their brothers, their aunts, their uncles, their friends. The first Shamu of SeaWorld witnessed her mother being shot to death. Multiple orcas (including calves) drowned after getting tangled in the nets trying to get back to their pod. Of course we have the audacity to talk about how beautiful the result is.
It's a real shame that these trainers aren't allowed in the water with the whales anymore. I bet it was a sudden shock to the whales, one day they're real close with their trainers/care takers and the next they're removed from them. Quite sad. #DreamBig Dawn Brancheau.
Well, yes I am going to use the #DreamBig. I'm not making obscene comments, I'm just trying to give her a little respect for the inspiration that she was. I have watched Blackfish, and I also know, from the research I have done, that it is VERY one-sided. Many trainers have even spoken up about how they were tricked by Mrs. Cowperthwaite and the true purpose of the Documentary. Even Dawn's family released a statement chastising the film and they emphasized the fact that Dawn wouldn't have worked there if she thought that the animals weren't being well-cared for, just go to their website. Also, Blackfish is focusing on just the bad of SeaWorld and not the good. Most of the trainers featured in the film only worked at SeaWorld for a very shot amount of time. If you were to release the whales, as so many others have suggested, they would be subjected to so many illnesses, parasites, unusual levels of salinity, contaminated fish, etc. Where they are they are being well-cared for by people who love these animals. I don't want to be one of those people that tells others that they need to educated themselves on the subject, so I won't say it here.
Belle Anor I think that when the trainers are not allowed to go into the water with the whales takes away some of the connection that the trainer has with the whales. Water works made the whales and the trainers love stronger. Blackfish is one-sided and says nothing about the good things that sea world does and its a lie. Thank you for supporting sea world!
AnimalLeftist People in prison isn't even a good example in the way you're attempting to use it. And why is it a shame that people in prison are treated well? They are human beings after all, and not treating them well would be inhumane. Plus, that's a totally other and irrelevant topic than the one in the video. My brain is fine, thank you! But you might want to check yours out before going around and insulting people on the internet with irrelevant topics.
So, you think these animals deserve/enjoy a life in prison? What is their crime? Try to focus here.. Do you think humans enjoy incarceration? Maybe you should try it sometime. Go sit on your toilet for a week, and let me know how much fun that was for you. These animals are incredibly intelligent, and oh, never mind. Your mind still needs to grow up..
