All of their songs have always made me wonder what it’s about and who is struggling with it, it makes me thoughtful on the topic. I like their music because it makes me really think on it instead of just listening to noise like I do with most other music. But Mother Mother is perfect

I used to relate this song to what I now know was a misdiagnosis of OCD because of the intrusive thoughts that the disorder entails. Recently, I got diagnosed with DID, which makes listening to this song a really emotional experience. The lyrics manage to line up perfectly with my experiences dealing with a persecutor (an alter who harms the system to help us in a twisted way.) Although that probably wasn’t the intent behind the song, being able to have my own interpretation has helped me feel less alone. Thank you for sharing your music; it helps more than my words could possibly describe.
