What a fantastic idea! I always make a muslin when I sew, but did not apply it to my knitting (bangs head on desk). Gamechanger here. Plus, it can help to pick the correct size based on the amount of ease that works for the intended recipient This makes my day. Merci, gracias, grazie!

I also sew, and since I don't really know how to read a crochet pattern - nor do I have the patience with all of the counting - I just make pieces of crocheted fabric, and sew them together according to my mind's eye, or sizing them to fit people as if they were my dress dummy, or by laying them on sewing pattern pieces to make sure they fit, with stretchability in mind and how the project should fit the intended wearer.

Thank you again for your thoughtfulness!! But really, a newbie knitter could make this sweater??? I’m tempted, but can’t believe it’s possible…now you do have so many tips, but I’m just feeling not capable…
I do crochet. But I am large busted and almost everything, 99.999%, never fits!
I do sew also, beginner…tried making a pair of pants…laid on floor and traced around body…yeah…!!! That was funny!
You are so encouraging! Every episode, I’m like, yeah maybe this one might work…
So again, you think a newbie knitter, who is willing to be patient w the process can follow the directions and actually achieve a sweater to wear?
Thanks again from a faithful follower!
