It was possilble to do something similar in pigment, but i have to say the mirror mod in serum just sounds amazing. I used the lyra wavetable, and phasedistortion modulated by the modulator, and the amount of that I modulated like the mirror knob in serum. I also added a tiny bit of wavefolding, the third folder. Phasedistortion in octave plus mode.

I need to check that this weekend and see how will it sounds like... but I can already imagine the grittyness of the phasedistortion & wavefolding of pigments...
tbh when I was preparing the tutorial, I couldnt get the same timber the mirror algorithm gave me in pigments...and thus I prefered to keep the tutorial for SERUM only....

@@olliepsy I couldn't do the same timber aswell. But for me the core of the sound came from the filters and effects. the wave table is more about choosing the alien specie's .

Yeah recently my PC started to have hard times recording these videos, its either my interface's drivers having a conflict somewhere or its just my good old AMD dual core not being able to handle the tasks I need from it anymore (too bad because when I'm not recording everything works smoothly but I think I need a new one anyways) x)

Hey Nalogz, sup dude ?
You install version 0.6.2 (it has the bridge vst) then you update to the latest version (automatically itll do so) and you're good to go ;)
PS : Intall it like any other software ;)

What's the difference between the chaos oscillator and note on random?

chaos change values when midi is hold (better for long notes) and note on randm chenges value every new midi trigger (better for fast notes)

chaos is sample and hold where at a random point it holds a note where random doesnt
