We almost have identical setup on our Himalayan. I just did a moto/camping trip to AZ and UT a couple of weeks ago and it was freezing. I live here in SD, let's go for a ride sometime!
I will soon be making a video on all the mods/accessories that i have done to my Himalayan. For you well that depends on what type of riding you do & will be your personal choice. For me the top 3 mods were R/E panniers a Lithium Battery & USB Ports. But number 1 buy the bike.
"slime" a Pump tire levers & tool kit puncture repair kit old school type with patches & glue for tubes, i also need spare tubes to carry, don't have those yet....
@@JollyPeanut My DRZ400sm has tube less kits installed. I had to re do the front tire as the person who did them before made mistakes. Work well now. Jake the garden snake has a great video on how to do it.
@@canadiantriple2441 I will check out his video i like his stuff...For me being an old fart i prefer tubes i'm just used to them i guess .. DRZ 400 nice i would like one of those or WR 400 or CRF , i have a big bucket list , don't we all lol
@@JollyPeanut Well, that was the mountain. But I was thinking of the area where you started out. It looked surprisingly green. Not something I'd associate with southern California.
@@two_tier_gary_rumain I started out at the bottom of the mountain its green here yes that's why they say "its an island in the desert" but still its as dry as a tinder box right now it's a big fire risk at the moment...
@@JollyPeanut Yes, I understand that. Same as here in Australia. Although things aren't looking quite as green at the moment. But I was just a little curious as to why it is like that. Is it that the altitude allows it to capture more moisture from the air? Anyway, I look forward to seeing more of this ride. Looks quite interesting.

The countryside looks nice and green. What altitude is it around that area?
6,000 feet

@@JollyPeanut P.S. Was wondering, have you ever tried to pick the lock on your bike? :)
Actually, we can hear the birds. So those are turkey calls?
