His consistent pace makes guys like Starc and Rabada slow because these guys hit express pace once in a while whereas Lee bowled 150 consistently
A bit like Shoaib Akhtar,😎😎
You clearly didn't see starc bowl. Starc has both pace and variation. He's one of the most disciplined bowler and one of the fastest bowler at the same time...
Shawn Tait
@@stm47official51 It is Shaun, not Shawn, but he was called the Wild Thing because his bowling was fast but erratic. As an Aussie I loved watching him bowl, but way. he bowled a lot of wide's.
Yash Gaming And Top 10s Shoaib akhtar and Brett Lee took fast bowling to a whole new level... Never ever will the world see another Shoaib and Lee 💯 nowadays a fast bowler bowls 153kph and it's a big deal but rewind 19 years ago akhtar and Lee were in there prime they consistently bowled 155kph and above
Bret lees slowest ball is what bowlers today ball.
Hahah brett lee was nothing..he never bowled at 155 on a consistent basis. He delivered those only in his peak years. Shoaib akthar bowled ath 155 for a long time. He was the only bowler where I felt was hunting for the batsman. Every top class batsmen had fear inside when he ran in.
The wachoski Akhtar could only bowl over 150 for a few overs at most, Lee could do it at all day at his peak. And Lee was never caught using performance enhancing drugs.
@@jaykrishnan1398 you said almost opposite..akhtar hadnt much stamina as lee had. he would had tired after few overs.. but lee was like a machine.. consistent and fastest bowler with least injuries..
@@jaykrishnan1398 Mate you're off your head. Lee could bowl consistent pace, Shoab couldn't
@@jangunchain2684 No mate, he was injury prone. Lee was much more consistent, and could bat half decently too. He held the record for the longest six for a while
That moment when you realise Simon taufel is younger than half the guys on the pitch.
😂😂😂
😅😅
Simon retired very young also, he is da human drs
lee, shane bond, shoaib akhtar all were consistent
The umpire?
True legend! I wish Shane Bond also had a long career. Two legends 😍
Agreed
Even Ryan Harris
Shane Bond also take a five-fer at Adelaide Oval (exact same ground) couple of years after this
You don't appreciate how quick he actually was unless you saw it live. I remember playing against him in a club game a couple days after he got picked in the Australian test side & the keeper/slips were a pitch & a half back from the stumps. The keeper was taking them all on the rise at head height. He hit one of our guys in the chest so hard you could see the Kookaburra logo
Yes
Lee is a legend ,💕💕love him a lot
😂Sorry but Lookaburra logo in chest is too funny 😂
I agree Shoaib Akhter has the maximum speed of bowling record. But Brett Lee used to keep his 150 km pace consistent!!!
And so did Akhtar
Shoaib Akhtar is never ever a consistent bowler . While Brett lee is absolutely legend with perfect line and length.
@@harishpanikar4912 Correct!!
Brett Lee bowled the fastest delivery but it was practice match so never made it to records .

No wonder Taufel is one of the best umpires. Notice how he bends forward on each delivery to watch the action carefully and judge accordingly. Amazing commitment to his rather boring job
Nothing boring about the best view on the ground.

The best i have ever seen i.e. from the 2000s
Its anything but boring.... but yes...definitely a stressful one for sure
All old umpires done that... Laura
He looks so calm even while bowling at 150...legend
Most perfect action in the history of the game. It's like Tigers golf swing. Suprised that we don't see others trying to immitate it
Because of perfect techniques in his bowling action.
@@mervstash3692I always thought Shane Watson’s action was inspired by B.Lee
@@Søutħsidë it's possible. Late 90s early 2000s Dennis Lillie was who everyone saw at some stage about their action. Especially if they were in rehab for stress fractures etc. Which Watto had in the early days.He was teaching everyone to use Brett's action.
He was actually the one I first heard use that analogy about Tigers swing.

Well, i was a kid during 2004-5. And i grew up hearing rumors that Australia is such a strong team that no team can hit a boundary against them, let alone Win.
Yeah, how badly Australia would destroy India.
That was might OZ, even Damien Martin was better than Sachin

@@crownfedora5355 you can't say "back to home" cause it was the final
i loved brett lees energy, he was my inspiration to be an energetic fast bowler
Well he knew & used to bowl because he knew that his bowling was all worthy.
lol
Those were the days of real fast bowling... Nowadays 145 is considered as express bowling.... And Lee is consistently bowling over 150.... Great era... Would have loved kohli and Rohit playing some of the great fast bowlers of that time,... When Lee, Akhtar, bond and also steyn were on their prime peak.
Steyn never bowled at 150 kph. He might have hit it on the odd occasion but he was never a 150 kph bowler.
@@debmalyadutta4756Steyn 140kph.
I was born in an ERA where 150+ kmph speed was just a joke for BRETT LEE & SHOAIB AKHTAR..🔥💕
what about shane bond
Shane bond too....makhaya ntini and Allan donald weren't far behind
@daggeein 4life true ...Shaun Tait as well
Praveen Kumar, Abdul Razzak too
All of you unnecessarily bringing any fast bowlers names you know. Honestly in that era no one was as fast as these two guys. Shaun Tait is the only other guy deserving to be on this list from that era. All of these three were real 160 kph guys.
From far past Jeff Thompson and of all recent guys Mitchell Starc can be named with these guys. Starc is so underrated and unfairly compared with Rabada, Cummins, Ferguson, Archer. Of all the current fast bowlers others are no match to Starc's pace.
May be you people don't know but Starc has bowled the fastest ball in test match history 160kph+. Others have been in 160 club but in limited over formats where they bowl limited number of overs. He bowls consistently over 150 kph and have bowled lot of times constantly around 155kph.
Look at the indians batting no footwork no proper shots,no wonder tendulkar saved india's ass throughout the 90's...
StickyPlanet Only Sachin's wicket is a big wicket that brett lee took and the credit for that wicket must go to the fielder who took an unbelievable catch . other batsmen who got out to lee were kumble , srinath , mohanty and kanitkar who are tail enders
but still indian batting in 90's sucks every indian in the 90's who watched cricket wud turn of their tv after sachin's wicket that's how indian batting was until ganguly era..
+Ashish Aswani The fact is that most indian pacers would have problems in doing what lee did here. Why dont you give credit where it is due?
indian batting was back then like an ass....
in 90's division of work was so clearly defined...that india played with 6 batsman who couldn't bowl ,3 bowlers who couldn't even hold the bat and a wicket-keeper who could do nothing but keeping the wickets and a captain who was not even a player his job was only to lead the team...and none of them was interested in fielding...
THIS is why AUSTRALIA must ALWAYS have a real quick in our Team.
Mark Dowse now watch your Steve smith
i like your australian team

Mitchell Starc
Mr.Indian Haker 2. What does he got to do with it?

At that time pitching outside leg didn't had anything to do with lbw

*Brett Lee* This is my Story how I started watching and Playing Cricket , Back in 2004-5 ( I don't remember exactly ) my dad bought me a playstation kinda stuff . There was this cricket game though I used to hate Cricket coz at that time my dad used to occupy the TV , didn't play for cricket game for months nd then I thought I should give it a try , I chose Australian team and I read all the names there was this Man *BrettLee* , don't knw why but I liked his name , after some weeks India had a series with Australia and I asked my dad when BrettLee is gonna come , he said After a week so I waited , the day came and when I see him bowling those fast bowls I was like this is the man . Suddenly I started to like cricket and after 1-2 years I enrolled my name in school cricket team , played there for a while and then i got selected in city's team and then in state's team . When he took retirement in 2012 , I was all shattered and after a month I lost my love for cricket , asked my coach to not include me in the squad ( I was a fast bowler) coz for some reason I was unable to bowl like I used to .
I did Meet him when I used to play , the day I still remember , I gave him water bottle that day , he gave me a signed ball.
Cool!
I once saw him bowl live during Ipl. This was during his later years in cricket. Even then he was so fast, I couldn't even see the bowl. It seemed the Batsman just reflexing out of thin air.

His Pace, His Style After Taking Wicket Is Evergeen
Simon Taufel, standing as umpire at age29 :)
Don't we just love the sound when a 150kph stunner Nicks the wicket.
what a speedy bowler
The way he glides effortlessly towards the crease, his smooth run-up, and that perfect release-everything about it is just so captivating.
Brett Lee's action is a true Masterpiece. I can watch his bowling action on repeat. (and I actually used to do so when I was young :)
The reason why Brett Lee and Shoaib Akhtar used to bowl that quick and regularly is because both had a "delayed bowling arm". Not taking away any other finer points of fast bowling, but this one thing will easily increase any bowlers speed by 4-5 kmph on an average. At the point of reaching the popping crease, if your bowling arm is beside your back thigh, then automatically when you rotate your arm it works like a sling. Both Shoaib Akhtar and Brett Lee had the same technique in their bowling. The other fastest bowler at their time, Shane Bond, did not have the same technique while he used to bowl and even though he used to clock 150+ kmph regularly couldn't reach the heights that these two greats did by hitting the 160+ kmph mark. I was always fascinated by them and this made me curious to know why they were quicker than others and this is one reason I found out. Name the fastest bowler of all time, Jeff Thomson, and he too had a sling in his action, with his bowling arm coming from behind his back. I believe if every fast bowler makes the same change in their technique with a delayed arm action, everyone of them can get few kmph quicker.
That young man now a legend of the beautiful game
What is the Damn score ? Just showing random balls with no reference point.
Hmm.. Matured person
There's no reference point because this match had zero tension in it. Lee ran through the Indian batting lineup like a hot knife through butter, and no one expected them to chase anything anyway because they were pretty hapless all tour. The highlight of watching the Australian season in those days was getting to see them beat people so badly you had to stand up and applaud just for the sheer excellence, never mind that the result was a foregone conclusion. Every now and then somebody would push this team and create an instant classic, because that was how good you had to be to worry Waugh's Australians at all.
@@akbarshahzad5780 very well put together
This match was played on 26th January 2000 at the Adelaide Oval as part of the Tri series between Australia, India and Pakistan, Australia batted first and scored 329 with Mark Waugh scoring a century (116) in return India were bowled out for 177 with Brett Lee taking 5 - 27, Australia were captained by Steve Waugh and India's captain was Sachin Tendulkar
Remember when cricket was always on Channel 9 and the stadiums were packed. Good times, what went wrong - Foxtel.
Today we don't have bowlers half as good as Binga, the only exception being Mitchell Starc. Bumrah is also good, but how long, I am not sure.
