Like, Captain America was already in the military, and his name literally has "America" in it, so it seems like he would be on the governments side, while Tony has always been more independent, because while he does make military weaponry and have multiple friends in the air force, he's always done things his own way.

The civil war, in the comics, was a war against all heroes and the two sides were cap and iron man. The war started because the government wanted all heroes, like cops, to show there identity and get a badge and cap didn't want them to do that. Iron man sides with the gov. It's cool how this movie is bringing back William Hurt, the actor who played General Thaddeus Ross (Red Hulk!!!) in the movie "The Incredible Hulk". Most of the MCU movies have stayed pretty far away from that movie for some reason, ever since Edward Norton had been switched out with Mark Ruffalo, so it's great how they are finally acknowledging that "The Incredible Hulk" actually exists in the MCU timeline.

The civil war, in the comics, was a war against all heroes and the two sides were cap and iron man. The war started because the government wanted all heroes, like cops, to show there identity and get a badge and cap didn't want them to do that. Iron man sides with the gov. This is also where spiderman will arrive in the marvel cinematic universe.

It's cool how this movie is bringing back William Hurt, the actor who played General Thaddeus Ross (Red Hulk!!!) in the movie "The Incredible Hulk". Most of the MCU movies have stayed pretty far away from that movie for some reason, ever since Edward Norton had been switched out with Mark Ruffalo, so it's great how they are finally acknowledging that "The Incredible Hulk" actually exists in the MCU timeline.
Its seemed that the director really inspired from Gareth Evans, especially the last fight.. Is like Rama and Andi vs Mad Dog---> Capt America and Bucky vs Iron Man lol
