One of our trips brought us to Marsa Mubarak where we wanted to film a local dugong. Our base of operations was the nearby hotel Fayrouz Plaza Beach Resort.
This hotel offers various environments from grass and sand to shallows and coral reefs with deep water. This also offers significant biodiversity. This video starts deep underwater, then continues through the grass and sand of Marsa Mubarak, and ends on the coral reef in a small bay.

Další krásné natáčení v Egyptě nás zavedlo do zátoky Marsa Mubarak, kde jsme chtěli najít a natočit místního dugonga. V blízkosti zátoky, kde se aktuálně staví několik hotelů, leží Fayrouz Plaza Beach Resort, který nám sloužil jako výchozí bod.
Hotel nabízí kromě blízké zátoky, kde je převážně tráva a písek, také mělčí část přístupnou z mola a vnější útes s hloubkou. Prostředí je tu tedy rozmanité a mořský život pochopitelně také. Ve videu začínáme v hloubce u vnějšího útesu, pokračujeme přes trávu a písek v Marsa Mubarak a závěrem se dostáváme k mělčím korálovým útesům, které lze najít v levé a pravé části zátoky.

Great composition! We've been at the hotel a couple of times. Always amazing! Love the turtles the most! Thank you for sharing! You're really lucky that you got the opportunities to shot all these scenes within just one week!? Also it seems that you've been alone with the Dugong. At least there is nobody else in the video. Lucky almost impossible during the times when the tourist boats are in the bay.

We were very lucky indeed. But the trick is to wake up early in the morning - 5 am everyday. If you want to see dugong without crowds it is the only way.

Thank you very much. I have music from several composers, some of it was even composed by my friend Petr Pinos. However, I also love and like to use music by Peder B. Helland and others.
Cool scene with turtle and dugong, once a dugong made something similar with me. It was friendly but i had pain for some days in my shoulder, where it hits me hard.
That must have been quite a blow! Dugong loves to play with turtles, but I've never seen it with humans. Can I ask, out of curiosity, how tall are you? :-)
Anyway, I hope the pain went away soon and it wasn't a big injury.
I only got hit by a dolphin, which was also a kick. It reminds us that they are wild animals and even if they look friendly, you should keep your distance. :-)

@@Snorkellovers Well, wind is always a problem. However you can always go to a nearby Marsa Mubarak a or a small lagoon in the middle of hotel pier. Only the outer reef will be closed.
The best is that you have more types of enviroment there - seagrass beds, sandy shallows and outer coral reefs. Excellent for snorkeling.
I was there twice and the wind usually bothered us for one day a week.

@@Snorkellovers It depends. I usually wait to get a good price. This year however I will check out a new place and hopefully make a video review of underwater life.

Yes, we shot all this just by snorkeling. Me and my buddy are both freedivers. This species of jellyfish is not dangerous, no need to worry about being stung. I had them all over my body. On my head, under my swimming T-shirt. :-D However, they were only there for one day. Then the whole swarm was eaten by fish and sea turtles.

Very nice video, thank you for this, I think I found my next resort in red sea. Do you have wind (I plan it for may) ? Youtake this video in front of the Three Corners Fayrouz Plaza Beach Resort and at the closest marsa mubarak where you go by swim, right ?
I can definitely recommend Fayrouz Plaza for snorkelling. There is a lot to see. :-) We were very lucky because only two days were a bit windy. Everything you may see was shot in Marsa Mubarak and the hotel´s house reef.

Ahoj. Moc pěkné relaxční video. Dávám palec nahoru 👍. Chtěl jsem se zeptat. Příští týden odletáme a budeme ve stejném hotelu. Vše je to natočené na místním reefu nebo jste vyráželi i s místní bází i na jiné lokality ? A ještě jaká je šance na Dugonga v zátoce Marsa Mubarak ? Zdržuje se tam často nebo je větší šance níže na Abu Dabbab. Díky měj se.
Diky, shodou okolnosti tam take odletame v pristim tydnu, konkretne 30. 1., tak treba se tam uvidime.
Dugong je hodne o nahode, ja ho hledal v Marsa Mubarak kazdy den a mel jsem vetsinou smulu, zatimco muj buddy ho videl za 10 dni 7x.
Jinak vsechno ve videu je ciste z hotelu nebo Marsa Mubarak.
Jeste dodam, ze tehdy se v zatoce stavel hotel a byl tam dost hluk, proto bylo tezsi dugonga pozorovat. Dnes uz hotel stoji, ale pry neni v provozu.

No boats needed. :-) Everything is in proximity of Fayrouz Plaza hotel.

Zdravím, ideme tam tento rok v septembri. Všetko natočené bolo v tom areáli ? Vyzerá to úžasne.
Vse je z okoli hotelu. :-) Trava je pak z nedaleke Marsa Mubarak, kam se muze jen se zachrannou vestou, nebo neoprenem. Cesta pesky tam trva asi 10-15 minut.
@@themako Zdravií, to ma prekvapuje, - en vesta alebo neopren. Stačí neoprén? Bez neho vás nepustia do zálivu? Ešte k house reefu, aká je tam hĺbka a v akej hĺbke ste to filmovali? Zvažujem tento hotel teraz na jar.
@@marianpavlik6352 Stačí neopren, vestu jsme nikdy neměli. Nicméně kontrolovali a opravdu bylo nutné mít jedno nebo druhé. Většina záběrů je myslím v hloubce do 10m. Možná s několik výjimkami, ale přiznám se, že jsem s sebou moc často nebral svůj potápěčský počítač.

He was mostly in Marsa Mubarak, but they are building a hotel there, so he started to show up closer to Fayrouz.

This is our favorite bay, we travel every year. The local dugong (we call him Boy) will already recognize us. Which camera did you shoot? You have a very calm video without pitching.

Dekujeme. :-) Inimicus vlaknity neni uplne typicky zastupce ropusnicovitych, je charakteristicky prave temi barevnymi ploutvemi.
