To combat the differing lengths of grip - prior to putting the grips on you could sort the grips shortest - longest then put the shortest on your pitching wedge and longest on your driver to match the differing shaft length? Just a thought
I have just received a set of 14 Golf pride Z Grip copies from temu. Happy with the quality and more importantly, It helps keep an already expensive hobby somewhat more affordable. Unfortunately lining the pockets of the big brands isnt high up my priority list.
Big brands do the design and development whilst the parasites copy and paste and NO quality control, including the materials and no responsible disposable of waste... Enjoy your pennies saved...perhaps just cut the fingers off your washing gloves lol
I found that if you use a spray bottle and spray both the tape and inside the grips then they go on great coz you know what happens if you don't put enough spirit on🤔....🎊🌟🤩🥳 PS give the grips a good clean before using them then that should stop any colour bleeding 😵💫
Hi Gaz fitted some for a friend as he asked me to fit them biggest fault I found was the colour in the grip started to run when I gripped them , I previously worked in golf when I was younger and fitted thousands of grips , these are good for the money but not fully uniform
Hi I have had an old set of clubs regripped by my local pro shop but I have added a 3i and a LW to the set and I’m thinking of trying this myself what double sided tape did you use from screw fix and did it fit nicely around the shaft without overlapping please. Also I’d like to say thank you for this series as it’s been very informative 👍
I'm using Saplize grips from Amazon and they're about 60 quids for 13 grips plus tape and solvent... There's a bit colours leaking when fitting them one but really nothing much after that. By the way, it's about that time of the year where I do regrip... so yeah, I'll certainly do that again and not use a know brand installed by a pro for way more money!
Done my own grips many times and for others and best thing I have done is put some frog tape at bottom of old grip and mark the centre before removing them it's easy to line up
I do the same to help with alignment and to know how long to make the tape 👍. Once you’ve done a few clubs it’s easy. I’m happy to buy cheaper grips but would be concerned about buying counterfeit ones from places like temu
I gave this tip to Gaz but he likes makin' life difficult.... With the tee in the end of the grip you've got all day to adjust the alignment... You can even make a cup of Yorkshire tea while contemplating whether or not your grips straight but only if the milk's in wit bag!
Great show guys , thanks for doing this, great help, and I can't drink tea, but was taught how to make it, got to give it time to brew, dash of milk, not that chicken soup you made last time, although this one did have a little colour, lol, keep them coming mate.

“Trotters Grips”. Did I see you put an orange grip on a Hzdus PXG club🫣. It would be good if you compared the gram weight of the new grip to the old one and work out what difference if any it will have to the swing weight.
Gaz, Gaz, Gaz! Don’t stir the bag around the mug! Let the bag sit in the water for at least two minutes and then fetch it out without squeezing it out on the side of the mug, then add your milk. You might as well drink Asda own brand the way you’re making tea! Great video today, will love to know how these are standing up to use after 6 months or so and that will give us the true answer as to whether they are great value or not.
Did you compare the weight against a genuine? I’ve had fake grips before and they have generally been quite a bit heavier and all over the shop. Be interested to know if they’ve improved in that area
Be fine I've used 2 sets, just as good as originals.... and a fraction of the cost, delivered to my door in 2 weeks from AE. Check the seller has a good record is all.
Would of been interesting to weigh the grips to see the difference I’ve just bought some grips not the temu ones you showing and out of 13 grips the heaviest to lightest only 2 grams
I haven't used a glove in 15years or more. So I want tacky grips. Which I clean, along with my clubs, once a week. When it's time to re-grip 3-4 years later, I have the pro shop do it for me. Yes, it costs more rather than doing it myself. But they make some money and keeps them employed. That means more to me than saving a few quid.
Maybe a sponsorship deal from Yorkshire Tea is on the cards. I am sure that will not bring into question your integrity lol. Next vid you wont be able to move for tea bag boxes. lol Great vid by the way.

I wanted to buy a Scotty Cameron headcover but they won’t sell to us. I lost mine, not paying $200+ online, called Scotty Cameron and they only sell if you send your putter in - just asinine. So yeah, I bought a fake cover from Temu and if I lose it, I’m out $20.
I bought some Golf Pride Tour Wrap grips from Temu and they look authentic in every detail. However, the first grip that I put on immediately split at the top as did the second and third grip. I immediately realized that they were fake and of poor quality. Unfortunately, Temu's response was to offer me some discounts on other fake stuff. No thanks.
Done this myself a few times. Use a clean bowl for the white spirit and empty it back in the bottle for next set. Also try wd40 to get rid of glue residue. Keep up the good work.
As a plus 2 golfer I bought grips from Temu, 5 months ago, could not be happier with the purchase. I have always said the general public is being ripped off by people like you and marketing by the golfing industry, be careful golfers as most equipment are made in China anyway.
As a +2 golfer like that makes you the consummate expert to all things golf. No one believes you are a +2 because that makes no difference whether you like the grips or not. As long as they work good on your Strata box set of clubs we are happy for you..
The weight range tolerances of them is enough to change swing weight. You might save £30, but the grief they cause over time isn't worth the saving. Not to mention ripping through gloves because of the paint transfer and the harsher chord they use, and try getting the colour out of your hands after a round. They are seriously not worth the hassle to save £30. Support your local pro shop, instead of filling the pockets of companies who never pay tax in the UK. Use the Golf Pride Retail locator to make sure that they are listed as a main seller. Honestly a joke how bold companies are getting selling fake gear to us.
The saving is a lot more than £30 though. A set of 13 multicompounds on Temu for just shy of £30 delivered. Genuine Golf Pride Multicompund are £12 a pop so 13 will set you back £156. They are easy enough to fit yourself as Gary has shown so the saving is over £120. Even if you regripped using these twice a season there is still a significant saving.
