I purchased the Geoleap set of grips after watching this video when it originally aired and installed them on all my clubs. After 3 months of golf, (playing 4 times/week and hitting range balls) the grips are still in great condition. I would highly recommend these grips

I installed Geoleap grips on my clubs. They look and feel fine to me. I can't really tell them apart from the Golf Pride grips. Even if the manufacturing tolerances aren't as tight as the Golf Pride, the significant price savings more than makes up for it for me. At $3-$4 per grip, I can justify replacing the grips more often instead of dealing with worn out grips because I paid $10+ for them. As a super casual golfer who only plays maybe once a month, the Geoleaps are more than good enough. I wonder if the big name brand grip companies are worried that they're being undercut by these "close enough" knockoffs.

If going down the amazon grip road I came across what seems an up and comer.
The WEDGE GUYS grip is sensational. Would be interested in your review at some point.
Just regripped all of mine with their 4 quadrant design.
2 things stand out beyond the great feel.
    1. You CANNOT install crooked.
    2. You can manipulate the quadrants for more coarse or soft feel for different clubs.
    Look forward to it

I just installed a set of SAPLIZE grips off Amazon and couldn't be happier. The kit was 40 bucks, and came with everything you need to do 13 clubs, even a tool to cut off the old grips without damaging the shaft. The price for golfpride is insane! and for what? just the grips alone ordered for a set is over 100 bucks. I play 4-5 rounds a month and range couple times a week, and don't have anything negative to say. Don't be fooled by the golf shop pros pitching their nonsense.... Everything golf is so overpriced. If these Amazon specials wear out in 6-9 months, it's like 30 bucks for another set.

Thanks for the review. It would've been interesting to see you weigh the MCC grips so we'd have some insight to the tolerances for the GolfPride grips. Also, you mentioned the feeling of being thinner or thicker. A micrometer from Harbor Freight is pretty inexpensive and would give actual numbers. I just picked up some grips from an alternative source and based upon your review, I'm very curious about the weight/diameter variances. Thanks again!

I would have liked to see a weight measurement of the real Golf Pride MCCs. Plus a comparison of the "smell" of the real ones vs the others. I would bet the rubber smell is more enhanced on the GP grips and the clay, sand or other additives are pronounced on the knock-offs.

I've been using GP tour wraps forever & have yet to find any that are tackier but don't let them get wet. They turn into ice & slip a lot which is something I have yet to figure out. I also play without a glove unless it's really humid but practice with one because of the number of balls I'm hitting. Or, maybe my grips weren't clean when they got wet & could have caused slipping but it wasn't because they were worn out.

    • @EFGMC

You can get a number of popular grips in undersize which is what comes standard on women's sets. You can also take a standard grip and stretch it down the shaft an extra 3/4 inch and that will make it a bit smaller.
All that said, don't assume she would want the smaller grip size. I have fit numerous women who prefer the slightly larger feel of standard "men's" grips. All comes down to what the players is comfortable with.

AJ, when you measure someone up for a set of irons, and they measure up to be a half inch long with graphite shafts do you cut a additional half inch off the tip and then cut to length off the butt? I’m just wondering how that would affect the stiffness, knowing tip trimming changes that flex but longer affects it too. Your thoughts thank you

    • @EFGMC

Hard to tell. Close inspection of the tip to make sure the fibers aren't fraying, twisted, or bent, would be where to start. Could always cut off 1/2 to 1 inch from the tip and use it for a shorter wood or put in an extension.

Midsize can weigh from + 6-7g to as much a 14-15g heavier than a Reg 49-51g grip. Reduces SW by 4/5g per SW pt, and moves club balance point toward the butt. Some measure club MOI using a Golf Mechanix MOI Speed unit ( basically length squared x mass).. and it changes slightly. I base grip size on comfort.. very ‘feely’ golfers can sense the weight distribution change. Most can not.
