For me, this one is a copy of the Peak Design Everyday backpack I use, it has some awesome features, but there's one issue that is a deal breaker for me, it's weight! it's too heavy in my opinion, otherwise, I'd jump on it the moment they started the Kickstarter. I wish they'd have such bag with less weight, I really like what PGYTECH do and I have some Action camera accessories by them and can't stop suggesting them to others, sure the backpacks (both this one and the older bigger one) are awesome, but the weight is something really important for me
I also thought at the start it's a bit heavy when empty - and to that the material used has the biggest contribution. Despite that - design is excellent.
The material is the weight, you realise if they used cheaper or lighter materials then the backpack would be even worse? If they find out a way to create a future backpack with lighter materials, but stronger fair enough but right now they have done their best PGYTECH.
I’ve had the Peak Design and I just got this one. It’s significantly better. So, yes it borrows some design features (but so did Lowepro), but it improved upon the concept greatly.

You think a Lenovo Legion 5 will fit the laptop compartment? That's the only thing that will hold me back from ordering this once it's available.
Problem is that you can really find out when you try... My primary laptop doesn't fit, sadly.

Is it safe to use for traveling as the top access is easy for anyone to access it.
It is easy indeed. Perhaps there are some lock options already. And the pull mechanism is rather hard to guess for most non-professionals.
