Great video! I love cherry tomatoes especially and Paul is obsessed with San Marzones. I really enjoyed your gardening tips. I didn't know about bottom warming. And, yes, it's bragging rights for who grew the first tomato of the season. Happy gardening!
Thanks! I dried some of the San Marzanos last year and they did really well. Of course any fresh tomato is yummy and after trying to eat what you get at the store in the winter...well nothing beats that first homegrown. Thanks for watching and take care. Happy travels!
Dang the ones in the rooting box did awesome ! Really great tips ! Yep everyone wants to have the first tomato of the year . The first tomato of the year always taste the best . Thanks for sharing !
We gardeners get excited about the little things. LOL I didn’t think of this. Took a master gardener class at TAMU many years ago. They had a beautiful rooting box in one of the greenhouses. Mine is a pretty simple rendition of it. You my friend are so sweet. TFW and for your support! MWAH!
Hey my dear! How in the world are y’all? Well, I hope. Thank you and thanks for stopping by. I hope they make it through the winter and I get the drop on gardening in spring. LOL Take good care.
Holly cow girl you are a gardener, pretty awesome you have the outdoor space to do this Lyn .. tomatoes taste so good from the garden. you and my girlfriend would be would have a great time discussing rooting and cloning she's totally into this as well and has many different kinds of tomatoes, she gave me a couple of Black tomatoes the other day :) hugs
It is such a privilege to have so much space to work with for sure. There are so many kinds of tomatoes sometimes it overwhelms. They come in lots of shapes colors and sizes. Thanks for stopping by. Take care my dear! MWAH!
Hi there! Thank you. I used to have the best patchwork overalls, I miss those. These are pretty comfy though. Thought about tie dying them. They wouldn’t show dirt as bad. TFW MWAH!
How are you youtube friend? Fascinating content that you presented to us this time, very good really. I hope you are having a great day. Thank you so much for sharing it with all of us. Huge hug and many greetings. We will see you in future videos. Goodbye
You are so good at growing things and you have that room inside where you keep plants. You could overwinter your peppers too. Both are actually perennials but cannot endure freezing. I planted the cherry tomatoes years ago and never harvest them all. They have self seeded every year since. A happy accident. LOL TFW
Hey Sister Wife Lynn!! We had no idea there was a competition for who grows the first tomato of the year. Must be a local thing. That's awesome you're growing San Marzano tomatoes.. They are our favorite type. You have such a good green thumb girl. We unfortunately have bad LA weather and can't grow anything but indoor plants LOLOL!! You did a great job on rooting those tomatoes, and awesome you're getting some good use out of your greenhouse. We were cracking up when you said "You don't want the inside of your box soggy" LOLOL!! WORD GIRL!! Those were some great tips on rooting in this video! Great video and love you to the mother effin' moon!
Hello my sweeties! You find this to be true in the gardening community. Also, if you go to farmers market and people are bringing their produce. Think about it...first fresh farm grown tomato of the season. Things that make you go AHHHH! Hey, some folks have trouble growing even house plants. I have killed a fair few of those myself as well as other things. It’s trial and error. Thank you so much for your encouragement, love and support. I so appreciate that you are part of my community. Love y’all big! MWAH!
Idk, but I will look that up. I may do a couple more of those San Marzanos and see if it happens again. I try to stay with organic products. It will be interesting to see if there is something organic I can use for Black Spot, if that is what it is. Thanks for watching!
