I have had a feeding tube button for over 2 years! I am right now 11 years old, since second grade I have wanted to be an anesthesiologist or a pediatrician.

I come from China. He is a patient with short bowel syndrome. Few people in China use this technology. He has been ill for 10 years. The right half colon with a diameter of 50 cm was excised. At present, our method is family enteral nutrition. The gastric tube is inserted every night and taken out during the day. Nasal feeding of enteral nutrient solution is 1000ml every night. Take 1000ml orally during the day. Mix it with warm water. Go to the hospital for parenteral nutrition once a year. There are not many patients with short bowel syndrome in China, and there are only more than 200 people in the community. It's great to learn this knowledge here. thank

Did you prime the extension tube with water? It looks like you have water in your extension tubing before you began the feeding.

Yes to prevent an upset stomach unless the directions tell you not to

As a nurse, I take the time to run the unopened can under warm water.

PROPER HANDWASHING! Turn on facet. Wet hands. Apply soap. Wash for at least 20 seconds with friction. Grab paper towel and completely dry your hands. Grab another paper towel to turn off water. Y'all are out here improperly washing hands spreading diseases within the hospital.

yes! I would also not be doing any feedings without gloves, just in case you honestly never know.
