I remember read a article you wrote some years ago, mid 90's in "The Anglers Mail" Denis about a session you had on the tidal River Trent at Collingham fishing for bream, peg 91 or 96 I think? The club I fished with booked a match on the same venue. Believe it are not I drew the exact peg you fished and fished it exactly as you had described, same bait same tackle, everything the same. I had the best days fishing I have ever had in my life, to the point that some of the members sat behind me watching. I finished with a 94lb bag of mainly Bream, the biggest over 8lb. I still talk about it to this day. Thanks for the memories Denis.
Well done Tom thank you so much, how did you manage to get him?????You have made an old man very happy today thank you again.Best angler I have ever seen and a genuine nice bloke God bless him.
Nice to see local and former Barnsley blacks Legend Denis White in action heard so much of him from my old friend and his fishing buddy Geoff Poucher. Lovely bloke done a lot for angling.
I used to run the midweek matches at Worsborough Res in Barnsley and Denis taught me more about fishing than any other angler. He's a bloody nice bloke and was one of the best all round anglers in the world
Remember being allowed to sit behind Denis when I was 17 on the Trent.always remember him and John tether being so helpful to me . Great to see you looking well !
Great to see Dennis still as enthusiastic as evver and able to still enjoy his fishing , fished against him a few times back in the day, wonderful fella.
Remember being at fleets dam in 90s had a 8lb carp on my bream tackle 1.1lb bottom and 24 hook and was taking my time when some match anglers were giving me stick then Dennis came past and sat with me and just said tek the time kid dont listen to them. Tha better of taking the time than losing it. Landed fish and dennis gave me his hat still remember it till this day . Angling legend
A refreshing change of venue ,style and most of all a sublime tribute to Dennis, great watch thanks for the variety of videos you bring nowadays Tom....Actually set up a couple of the very slim old Maver Falcon 6m flick tip whips for my match on Sunday only yesterday... ideal in the potentially bad conditions when targetting a few pound of silver fish on a natural deep brick pit where they don't like a pole over their heads.
Watched him with the " blacks ". Almost 50 years ago on the wellend, Dennis was awesome fishing a waggler, pure magic, ( the guru to Pickering and many more)

Now there's a name Geoff Poucher .fished many a match with Geoff at my local lake Sally Walshes
Always a great pleasure to watch a master doing his work...cheers Dennis & Tom.
An angler I have always respected and I do agree with his thoughts on the feel of the fish when using a flicktip. Bill

Nice promo but you were just catching tiddlers.
Next time ask the locals how the men fish it.
Dennis has forgotten more than "the men" will EVER know !!!
The Barbell brains? They sit behind a tip, drinking cans and on Facebook. Same as anywhere. I take a pint of reds and catch tiddlers all day.
