So fun fact about the West Virginia thing, Miles is right. In the song, the "West Virginia" being talked about is actually western Virginia, not the state of West Virginia.
Very neat and entertaining video! Just a clarification, the B&O never actually ran into Atlantic City. The connecting railroad which ran the “Blue Comet” you speak of was actually the Central Railroad of New Jersey. The B&O did own a very slight controlling interest in the CNJ, but never had any trains of their own run to the Jersey Shore!
@@sharrose7594 the UK board uses there local places. When playing internationally I usually refer to the color and position (etc. Orange 3 for New York Ave or Pine Street Purple 1 for St. Charles or Pall Mall).
Definitely not the S-hole it was in the early '90s when I was a cafe attendant on the Amtrak AC service. I don't know about today, but AC didn't even have a grocery store on the peninsula. It truly was as depressing as the Springsteen song.
There's actually an expanded version of the game called Monopoly: The Mega Edition. I have a copy; I'll post proof in Miles's Discord if you want to see it. Future Part 2?
11:01 😂 good pun! Also another alternative pun I thought up is “no they run on gas” Anyways even though i saw this over a year late, this was a very creative idea and I loved the video
The Saint Charles Place property was named after a street that ran between Pacific Avenue and Boardwalk that was also called Saint Charles Place. However it no longer exists as the Showboat Hotel was built over it, the same hotel that is bounded by States Avenue to the southwest.
Thank you very much for this very interesting and informative video, it was great to see Atlantic City and what better way than by using a Monopoly board. Fantastic!

I didn't know Monopoly was based off a real City but thinking about it makes sense
We used sticky notes played game renaming our town streets places was fun

They always say how blighted AC is, but honestly it doesn't look TOO bad. I mean, compare to someplace like Camden.

Comic sans in the thumbnail?? Go directly to jail.
Hee hee
Three varieties of street sign fonts should send a traffic engineer directly to jail, too
Comic cans in thumbnail? Believe it or not, straight to jail
edit: just watched the video and now see you were referencing a part in the vid haha

You passed several water towers, and didn't use that as Water Works?
I haven't been to AC in a while; it's looking better.
That's what I was thinking. Haven't been for 30 years, but it looks way better than the slums of the 1980s.
The short bus you rode is a 2012 NABI 31-LFW (It’s 31 feet long obviously)

Never realized Bruce Springsteen did a song about Atlantic City! Nice outro and interesting seeing all the real life streets!
Off the solo acoustic album "Nebraska" from 1982.

Missed opportunity not visiting 2715 Atlantic in AC
Getting very close to 1000 subscribers!
Wonder why they never built a Monopoly themed casino in Atlantic City?

3:57 Hard Rock used to be a Trump property, with the street address of 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue
Epic! Love this!
I can't understand how this idea has barely 4k views. Going to copy it to Israel.
Do it!
