Booyah!!! That was surprising, after the first strike into the Ash, I thought the edge was going to roll over or chip.
I also like that they didn't put the Black coating all of the way down to the edge. I'm not a fan of the knives with the black coating as most of the time it gets worn down from basic use.
Definitely a good knife if you're going out camping for the weekend and forgot your camp knife or don't have a camp knife/"mini machete"
    Great review and video!

Railroad spike steel is always different here in Canada. They melted a ton of steel all together so some spikes are good for knife making.

..i just don't like a knife that won't throw. It did well. I through for sure the edge would roll or chip. Good review Rick...!!

well, it's a Schrade.. so, assuming you're able to touch up the edge once she dulls i'd say hell yes

That was pretty brave to hit hardwoods with a steel that brittle and thin. Especially with a hollow grind. Schrade is not the same company they used to be. They just make cool looking stuff for pennies and mass produce it. I'm really shocked that thing didn't snap with the first smack on that ash. "Same carbon content as a railroad spike" That's why railroad spikes are so thick. That steel isn't meant to be thin.

Rick you didn't test the tip? At least it can be thrown lol. It would get on my nerves to need to sharpen it after every use. But hey if you got in a situation were you needed a knife I guess if it was all you had it would work until it didn't.. Martin M&S Blades

Thanks Martin - I agree - I have several high carbon blades and you cannot beat a really sharp blade that stays sharp....this is definitely a utility beater. Its not something that you or I make that gets passed down from generation to generation and lives on forever..... Thanks for checking it out my friend; Booyah!!

I like to watch tests of knives from different staly. Mother Earth. It is a pity while guys from Mars can't arrive on tests of knives from Mars.
