I totally agree. I love hearing this, I saw a band in Galway who were from Jamaica and played this song in a reggae beat and passion it was tremendous, they even used a didgeridoo with it .
Love what you're doing. So many of these songs have beautiful guitar lines. Only criticism I have is that this particular part really benefits from single coil tone.
If you twist and turn away If you tear yourself in two again If I could, yes I would If I could, I would Let it go Surrender Dislocate If I could throw this lifeless lifeline to the wind Leave this heart of clay See you walk, walk away Into the night And through the rain Into the half-light And through the flame If I could through myself Set your spirit free, I'd lead your heart away See you break, break away Into the light And to the day Ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh Ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh To let it go And so to fade away To let it go And so, fade away Wide awake I'm wide awake Wide awake I'm not sleeping Oh, no, no, no If you should ask then maybe they'd Tell you what I would say True colors fly in blue and black Bruised silken sky and burning flag Colors crash, collide in bloodshot eyes Ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh If I could, you know I would, if I could, I would Let it go This desperation Dislocation Separation, condemnation Revelation in temptation Isolation, desolation Let it go And so fade away To let it go And so fade away To let it go Oh now, and so to fade away I'm wide awake I'm wide awake Wide awake I'm not sleeping Oh, no, no, no
brilliant as always from the incomparible Nick. however, not sure if this is really a studio version as much as it is some type of hybrid of live and studio. side note, to my recollection, i can't recall ever seeing edge play this on anything but his strats or explorer (not that my ears can tell the difference w/ the les paul in this clip.) nevertheless, no complaints whatsoever & wholly enjoyable. thx for sharing, you are the best.
Great stuff dude... which begs the question - why does the actual Edge always butcher the guitar part live? Don't get me wrong I'm a u2 fan, but the live, muted version always sounds lame.
Great playing, but you needed to position the camera so we could see the guitar neck on the first fret. You need to just move a foot to the left. About 4:50 point you do the guitar part differently from other lessons, but we cannot see it.
i could listen to this all day long
You absolutely nailed it so well that I couldn't help singing along. LET IT GO, AHAAAA, AND SO Faaaaaaade Away!!!!
Closest guitar tone I've heard to album version. With perfect delay I might add. Great work!
Yep best ever
Finally the studio version cover. Great job 👍
Sounds spiritual, on the highest plane of existence, beauty beyond comparison. Thank you for this!
The world needs more people like you that have such passion, I love it!

Wow... I can't believe how similar the real song is compared to him playing it an amazing job 👍🏻

Very good pal. I think edge used a Gibson lp in the unforgettable fire video. You can see him playing it. Again well done.
Muito 10 e ótima .
Brilliant now if i could put it on my ipod !
Go to a UA-cam to MP3 conversion website. Love listening to this in the car.

Great cover , this is how U2 should do the beginning of the song guitars and drums then Bono comes in a minute or two later .
If only Bono didn't scream the lyrics like a banshee this would be one of my all-time favourites. Great work.
Thats the best part of the song Imo
@@gibsonglinz7818 - exactly what I was thinking! 😄👍
If you twist and turn away
If you tear yourself in two again
If I could, yes I would
If I could, I would
Let it go
Surrender
Dislocate
If I could throw this lifeless lifeline to the wind
Leave this heart of clay
See you walk, walk away
Into the night
And through the rain
Into the half-light
And through the flame
If I could through myself
Set your spirit free, I'd lead your heart away
See you break, break away
Into the light
And to the day
Ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh
Ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh
To let it go
And so to fade away
To let it go
And so, fade away
Wide awake
I'm wide awake
Wide awake
I'm not sleeping
Oh, no, no, no
If you should ask then maybe they'd
Tell you what I would say
True colors fly in blue and black
Bruised silken sky and burning flag
Colors crash, collide in bloodshot eyes
Ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh
If I could, you know I would, if I could, I would
Let it go
This desperation
Dislocation
Separation, condemnation
Revelation in temptation
Isolation, desolation
Let it go
And so fade away
To let it go
And so fade away
To let it go
Oh now, and so to fade away
I'm wide awake
I'm wide awake
Wide awake
I'm not sleeping
Oh, no, no, no
maravilha
vou copiar
a música mais linda de todas

Nailed it. That's better than Edge's version at Live Aid
Muito bom!!!!!!
Cool! Strings seem invisible)))
Quel multieffet pour jouer u2

🎸🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🔊 отлично спосибо!
Where did you get the backing track?
I have an older Ibanez delay pedal. What are u using for the delay and what’s the actual bpm’s/delay time ur using??
what tuning is that? Could you please list what settings you are using? would appreciate it
spudmonkey half step down anyway, I don't know the effects exactly but there's really good tutorial on UA-cam just search U2 guitar tutorials Bad

The first coment.
Delays are a bit too long, not much so
Ahhh,, a les paul version.....sounds BAD......ass
