A free kill gun is a double-edged sword: WHILE WEILDING IT, you're allowed to kill for free, but you can also be killed for free.
If there are consequences to either kill, then they aren't free anymore.
But you forgot an equally important rule: Rythian is allowed to shoot any other character at any time, because RDM stands for Rythian doing murders.
Don't forget, Rhythian was a body snatcher that round so his argument was likely part of a play.

tbh the free kill gun is just supposed to be a fun meme mechanic. If people get mad and particular about the rules then they should just do away with the concept.

@@tomcoughlan6893 It's called "Bon is Such a Beautiful Boy!!" - the reason it feels so familiar is that it seems like both maps were based on the roughly Clue house, but this one did a much better job of it in terms of visuals. The layout is nearly identical, save for some of the side rooms, and both had the same chandeliers-that-fall traitor trap.

The free-kill gun disagreement is about to start a civil war in the yogscast
I will defend Duncan in free kill gun court until the day I die
I just want to point out that the free-kill gun rules are:
- When holding it any and all actions dealt with the gun is inadmissible for punishment once you drop it
- You can only justifiably kill them when they hold the gun
this means what Duncan did was not RDM, and he cannot be justifiably killed after he dropped it
things such as "killing as revenge" should count as RDM, the whole point of the free kill gun is that the person shooting it can kill & shoot as they please but once it is dropped there are ZERO consequences
Or in other words, when they have the gun out, they're allowed to kill, but can also be killed. Free. Kill. Gun. Means you're free to kill, and free to be killed. Status changes when said gun is dropped.
So Duncan killing Briony was perfectly within the free kill gun rules, as she was holding it, actively trying to shoot. I know it was Zylus' (sub par) play, as he was a traitor, but nobody picking up on it makes me think they forgot how the arbitrary set of rules works.
Yeah but you have to agree that it might look suspicious. People have used the free kill gun -excuse while being a traitor before.
@@Ghostiification yes that's the whole gimmick of the free-kill gun. you never know what intention the player using it had, was it to do a lil bit of trolling as an inno? try to secure victory as a jester? or was it to get off some cheeky kills as a traitor?
Still, you cannot just kill the player after they've dropped it . they used the gun with its intended purpose and got away with it
if they're still wielding it, go ahead you're free to shoot them too but once they drop it, don't touch them
you may still think they're sus but u can't kill them off the basis that they used the free kill gun, even if they shot the detective

17:21 Lewis got confused. He said killing with the free kill gun was fine, then 18:32 turned around and got angry that Duncan killed someone with a free kill gun.
Ben and Duncan are completely right, but Lewis does have a point. Just because you kill with the Free Kill Gun doesn't mean you aren't bad or in this case at least suspicious. Duncan had a whole game, I think on a rat map, where he went around free killing almost the entire round and got away with it because of the rule of just dropping the gun instantly after, despite being a traitor. So I think if you kill with a Free Kill Gun, you're open to at least suspicion.
They shouldn't have killed him without further evidence, and like I said Ben & Dunc are in the right here. But if I were playing and you can just get out of jail for free by just dropping the gun instantly, regardless of the rules, I'd find that suspect.
In this instance tho that was an unjust kill on Duncan, but whatever none of these games matter and it's funny to hear the Yogs saltiest yellers go at it tbh.

It's more that he's saying "the game as I knew it would've meant I was right to kill both of you when I did" sorta defending the reasoning for what he did.

It's no different from when a traitor convinces people they are innocent, then when the innocents lose would they say, "i would have won if you were innocent and not the traitor"? Everyone has a reason for doing what they do, but sometimes they get tricked. Sometimes you just gotta say "ya got me" and sorry Kirsty.

Rythian is a bigger fan of the Yogscast than any of us with his ability to remember years old TTT episodes.
Innocents should get a buy menu with all weapons that spawn on the map and 1 credit. That way there are fewer "I don't even have a gun yet." situations.
Also Duncan was the victim of pretty clear bias. Briony was holding a FKG and also shot him multiple times. He had every right to kill her, EVEN THEY SAID SO. They literally said Briony could get revenge for it, so unless they let Duncan do the same, it's a double standard. Clearly with how things went, Duncan died for nothing. Pure bias.

I was just rewatching Dread Hunger and wishing there was more.
I miss Dread Hunger, though it had ways of getting old I'll be honest (lengthy game means that content throwing can be more upsetting than comedic). The game itself is dead now though, it shut down if I recall correctly.

This map is a recreation from the "Hit Movie"(TM) Clue(R)! One of my all time favorite classic movies.

Free kill gun. You can shoot someone and be shot. Once they drop it's DRM is how it's always been played.
If you guys wanna get back to playing Among Us you should try out Goose Goose Duck. It's basically reskinned Among Us but designed from the ground up with role mechanics.
There's also a dedicated fart button which I feel like might appeal to at least one of you.

The crew need a refresher on the Free Kill Gun. Duncan was absolutely correct, and he had absolutely free reign to shoot Briony as much as he wanted with the Free Kill Gun. As long as he was no longer holding the gun, he can no longer be considered suspicious for his use of the Free Kill Gun, nor targetted for punishment/revenge.

I'm going to be real if this series or really this channel ever ended I think I'd be totally lost, this is my calm down and bedtime playlist, it's a part of my home, and these guys were a part of my childhood, and led me onto, I think, a path of creativity and made me less scared of just roleplaying. I doubt anybody really reads these super thoroughly, but to anyone that did, thank you for being a part of what made them and all of it happen, people like you make the world seem just a little brighter.
