Yes, nice forest walk indeed and nice to see it was nice and quiet as well, our local woods (which are normally deserted) have been packed with walkers, runners and mountain bikers! I am with you on wanting normality to come back, it has been a long 3 months, which has brought out the best in some people but also the worst as well, so much mess and rubbish left, it's a bloody disgrace. Hopefully, it will be camping going to be eased next time, cheers Alan
Hopefully Alan normality can be resumed soon.The rubbish all over has been shocking in beauty spots..we have had many a summer where rubbish wasnt an issue but in the north east and cumbria but this is worst ive seen. Hope people start respecting the countryside a bit more..Im with you.. a wild camp is needed.atb Mark.
First decent walk you and the dog have had for a while Mark. Great to stretch the legs. Although they are a crop I find it kind of sad when a chunk of forest goes. That's life to. Great views mate. Good to see you out. Mark
Yep been a while,Penny is fine,not sure if Monty would struggle uphill but was is in good hands with my mam.Those trees that were knocked out were probs less than 30 years old,a lot of that area was bare once over,i expect re-planting will happen in future. ive enjoyed listening to nature these past couple of months too,more so on my bike when in the sticks. Very relaxing. Ive got a huge backlog of stuff to watch on here too now, which will take ages to get through.atb Mark.
Read that Balloch o dee site is 17th July for everyone..places in England could be earlier,who knows yet but hopefully a bit of normality can start up again.Just needed a good walk after 3 months lol.atb Mark.
good to just get out the way & take in the views mark & plenty cycling to keep it varied.pity about the fred but the training wont come in wrong. got a good hilly 50 & 60 miler in & plenty 30s over the last few weeks & walks & work so on my knees lol.take care.
Aye hard training for nowt on bike,just hoping for autumn events to take shape but needed a decent walk to give myselfva break off the bike and away from honeypots too.atb Mark
