    Can you run stock axils and gears with that lift and tires or do you need to upgrade all that?

    Are you still running the DANA 30 on stock gears? If have you encounter any problems. I’m thinking of doing the same with 37s. Let me know what you think

  • @ironbearjku2233
    @ironbearjku2233 3 роки тому +1

    Good vid but seriously just curious why would you replace a mid arm kit with another mid arm kit and not upgrade to a long arm set up? The clayton mid arm is not much less than long arm set up 🤔

    • @adventuredex
      @adventuredex  3 роки тому

      Great question! I was happy with the kit I had but the on road experience wasn’t that great. Claytons kits offer me the best of both worlds because of the way I use my jeep. I will however be doing another build soon which I’d love everyone’s input on. Maybe a long arm kit would be better. Thanks for watching!

      AdventureDex thanks for the response! How is it driving on the highway can you still do 60-70mph. I really don’t want to invest more money on the Dana 30. I’ll start saving $$ and once the 30 goes out, I will replace it with a 44. I just want to make sure I can daily drive it on 37s in the meantime

    Stop click baiting...you can't seriously believe that kit is the best ever. To even be in that conversation they'd have to manufacturer a full kit including shocks rhat were specifically valved & tuned in conjunction with their coil springs. Premium brand, no question but I wouldn't say Top Tier like RK, MC, Genright, Evo, Rock Jock. I'd put them in the Teraflex, Icon, Synergy tier.

      I’ve run a good amount of the brands you listed and I can hands down say and be willing to bet you Clayton rides better than every single one. Including shocks doesn’t make a kit complete, in fact some of the brands you listed also don’t include shocks, leave shocks to shock companies and suspension to suspension companies. Clayton focuses on what they’re good at and they’re damn good at suspension!

    • @adventuredex

    From start to finish how long did the front take, as well as the back? Any gotchas that you'd suggest for a first timer wanting to to attempt something like this?
    Also can't wait to drive with the top completely off. Just joined to keep gang a month ago, but being in the North East the weather isn't quite right for topless 🤣

      Takes about a weekend. Saturday and Sunday is enough time to knock it out. My suggestion would be to have the proper tools. Jack stands, floor jacks, and impact wrenches. Make sure the jeep is always secured and take your time. It’s difficult at first but after each time is comes easier and easier! Goodluck 👌🏼

    I had the pleasure of chatting it up with some of their reps at the Clayton booth at a local Jeep meet. Great company, 100% Made In The USA with materials locally outsourced in the North East. Very underrated & I have no problem recommending them BUT as far as being "The Best Wrangler lift kit EVER"...you're reaching! Not even debatable. Hell, That's not even the best kit in their catalog. That would be their Pro Series 3 link Long Arm. Not saying it's not a good kit but far from The best EVER

    This was awesome information! I might just get one of those kits. It seems like it includes everything, but new struts? Do I need to change my factory struts, or not (I've never put a lift kit before)? One more question, what's the name of that trail and where is it? Keep up the good work, I enjoy all of your videos!

    • @adventuredex
      @adventuredex  3 роки тому

      Thanks for watching! This kit is great! Comes with everything but shocks. You will need new shocks if you are increasing the factory height. Really depends how you use your jeep!

  • @ES-lh1tj

    Good video. I run the Clayton long arm kit. It rocks. Looking at your front end in the video, I suggest a drag link flip kit and a track bar bracket for your track bar. Your angles look real severe for these two components, especially on 4 inches of lift. It'll steer and handle way better.

    Hi can you add a budget or spacer lift to an already existing 2.5 in suspension lift to get more height? I was limited to that size lift which the dealer had on it when I bought it new as not to void the warranty. 2020 White JL Wrangler Sport Unlimited. Or would a body lift work better? Id like a 4 inch lift but that's not in the cards and I'm really wanting more height! This Jeep is not going off road, well at least not on purpose that is :0 Any options for me? I've got 35 inch Ridge Grappler tires on nice 20 in black blade type rims... Goes to the grocery store then to the pharmacy then to the gym...you get the idea....Love your videos and I just subscribed because you always reply...great job...and thank you!

    • @adventuredex
      @adventuredex  3 роки тому

      Thanks Scott! Yes you can certainly add a budget boost maybe companies offer spacer lifts. The reason why most people don’t go with them is because they don’t offer any performance upgrade. They offer no additional ground clearance however if ground clearance doesn’t matter at all for you then go for it! Every jeep is different and at the end of the day you should do what works best for you and make you happy! JeepWave 👋🏼

      You can do that, it would work. Keep in mind that the higher you lift without adjusting the castor of you axles with adjustable control arms or geometry correction brackets the worse you keep will ride.
      If you add a spacer lift above you current setup and don’t have adjustable control arms you keep will ride like shit
