in real life the blunderbuss could use anything that could enter in the barrel as ammo like little stones, broken glass, clay pieces, nails, screws, metal objects, coins, buttons and even potatos. so the seaman could get ammo by breaking glass or finding in the floor, little stones in maps that have grass, idk where he would find clay piece like roscoff, nails and screws in wooden planks or boxes, metal objects idk, coins in bodies or left in some place, buttons the same thing and potatos in boxes like in san sebastian and leipzig
This would seemingly work with the resupply idea of zombies dropping stuff on death, it could be a randomized debuff where occasionally blunderbuss users spawn in without ammo, grabbing supplies zombies drop along the way.
This sounds pretty good for a new gamemode honestly, I like the ammo feature because it would make bombers and igniters and maybe sappers more of a priority to kill instead of using it to kill shamblers and runners but the only reason you should shoot a shambler or runner is if a teammate is far away and nobody is nearby.
No no no for sapper limit. Don’t do it like that. Make it all divisible. Don’t go to 3 and then jump up 8 then skip to 10. Make it 4 material for caltrops, 8 for stakes, and 12 for barricades.

(The reason you could have limited ammo is because any supply lines to your area had been cut off by the hordes of the dead and as a result you have not gotten any ammunition and are now struggling to find any.) (For the mechanic for zombies dropping ammo to have it make sense, make it to where this only applies to zappers, turned players, and shamblers wearing soldier attire drop munitions, as it would make the most sense for soldiers to have ammunition for your weapons instead of random civilians.) (Also the little resupply crates from Roscoff would give you full ammo, but this applies only once afterward it would say: "It's best to leave some munitions for the rest of the team." applies only to objective maps at respawn points.)

Here is what I wrote, P.S I didn't know who you were on roblox so I just sent a image of your youtube comment in the suggestion as credit. Pillaging your buddies body how the pillaging mechanic works is 50% of the time if your teammate dies they’ll drop a certain amount of supplies on death, meaning when you walk up to their body “Search Body” will appear, an animation will start of you bending down and grabbing ur teammates supplies meaning your vulnerable as you do so.

Cool idea. Couple things though. First, the surgeon relying on callouts and physical appearances is a good idea. But the physical appearance will be unreliable. Many times, me and many many people I have seen have been an inch away from death, yet have no changes to their physical appearance (their stance when not holding anything). The ammo counter would need work. While it's generally fine to have the bullet or "pellet" amount for the nock gun, overall it's best not to count pellets. Other games don't do this as it simply is much easier to treat a 1 shot weapon with one actual shot. The pellet amount doesn't matter as it's the same every time. I noticed with the counter, if you pay attention to the brass/navy pistol that they ALSO use pellets. Which is why they're like a mini shotgun.
Idea:Bubbles did mention about the nock gun can busting you're shoulder or something so if you put a little bit too much gunpowder or stuff you probably know what happens either have a busted shoulder or blind yourself with gunpowder
I love the idea of this I think during endless in this gamemode there should be a day and night cycle where soldiers come during the day like if ur french then the british or angry civillians or something like that and during the night zombies and you must eat and drink to survive and i think there should be something to make mele weapons (idk how to spell sorry) have some debuffs because this game is very mele dependant and maybe sappers would need to find supplies around the map? and another idea i have is (for the base game) after every round if you win it plays a song from the country the map is based in like france a good song for france would be te souvients tu or something :) i love the idea of this gamemode edit: there should be new healing animations for surgeon depending on what you got hurt by like lets say a bomber that would be a shrapnel wound or a shambler a bite wound and whenever u get hurt it shows it on ur body like a shrapnel would mean a chunk of like lets say ur arm missing or ur head bleeding
The idea of counting the amount of pellets the blunderbuss have is weird. The blunderbuss can only shoot one time without having to reload, the blunderbuss isn’t like the nockgun which will have the number of pellets loaded
I dont think this would be a good idea considering the main way of combat in g&b is using melee, do you get my point?, making melee more dominant in a gamemode

Now we have more debuffs, i wanna add some for the infection, Blood and paranoia: If a player see his commarades (other players) die it will build up to a point (up to debate but 3 or 4 is good for me) where the trauma is so great that interactions will be impossible, like reloading, getting healed, using canons, using instruments, getting blessed, order a charge, build or destroy as sapper, use utilities(jack o'lanter not affected), heal or bless other players won't be allowed, the effects will decay in 5 minutes, after 1 minutes reloads will be allowed, 2 minutes canon interactions and receiving blessings and healing will be reenabled, after 4 minutes healong other players and using instruments will be reenabled and after 5 minutes it will end and will give fallowing effect: Guts of steel: Immunity to blood and paranoia.
Also shooting somone with a broken leg counts like two teammates die. That is the cost for a badge i guess😅(also I suggest getting 10 francs upon doing so). ALSO ALSO: Killing a fresh runner has the same effect
sure, soldiers could experience trauma but this system is way too punishing which is why it's been denied in the discord like 24/7. I love the idea but it's impossible to include since it goes against the guidelines, would be best for a more one player type experience.

that is a myth however technically you could load all of the things you listed however your more likely to break the barrel and injure yourself

The charge effect completely removes the debuff
I'd say to track this debuff have your character begin to have their hands shake or something like this to also add to realism.
Looks interesting, but the inert could change though. For example: Charge when close instead of 1st hit then charge.
not such a bad idea but runners already do this in some objective maps which is why the inert is so special.
With ammo wouldn't you also have to count the gunpowder
