too many slid upgrades for me to worry about it, better class balance (cant make eveyronehappy) better feat/spell balance, rules calrifications, and quality pf life improvements. andth enew rules for Heri cInspriaction andSurpise are very streamlined and slid improvments., ive already preordered based on those improvements alone, although im9 suir ei wont love eveyrthing, again, they cant make eveyrone happy :D
I never thought the stat blocks were complicated, but I've been using them since forever. I don't care about the art or how they imagine the different lineages look. You are still free to imagine them differently. I do refuse to use the term species in a fantasy rpg though. Likewise the background thing doesn't seem that important. It's just another way to get the same result and you can do away with it without changing anything.
You are absolutely free to imagine things however you want. But these are the images they’re giving his and those will be the starting point for many - if not most - people. Like when you see a movie based on a book and then you can’t help but visualize the actors from the movie when you read the book. And adding that to the removal of race specific bonuses- there’s no real point in choosing a race.
1. Are you a Boar Orc or a World of Warcraft Green Skin Orc? Which orc will be in your worlds? 2. If a player asks to play as the other type of orc, what will you do?
Either of those is fine by me. And so is the “human” orc in the new PHB, if that’s what you like. But if that third kind is what you want to play, we may not want the same thing out of the game, which may mean someone else would be a better DM for you.. And that’s ok too.
suddenly people who never took an art clas sin THEIR LIFE is an expert on AI art.. they see a little airbrush and scream AI AI AI!! the problem with AI art is when it is used to take away an ARTIST SJOB!! if an artist uses AI to improv ehtie rown art> MEH, im not really concerned.
@@shortreststudios I mean, if they can’t fix that then it’s just a really bad art program. I don’t understand why everyone’s freaking out about AI art taking away jobs from artists when it can’t draw things properly. If you’re going to be scared of something at least be consistent. People just don’t think before they become scared of something.
