Always enjoy Jason when you talk to the farmer. Those heads really flex with being 3 sections. That farm has some serious equipment. GO BTP 💪
Well jason! Since you asked. We here on our farm in Western Pennsylvania harvest wheat, speltz, and oats with an old gleaner f2. We haul away with a dump trailer and three gravity boxes and we bail the straw in small squares and put in the barn and we use them to bed our beef heard through the winter.
Very cool harvesting set up. Always good to hear about a classic Gleaner. I have some oat harvesting on my filming schedule next weekend.
@@bigtractorpower Eargely waitting to see OAT harvesting janson
Thanks for the video, its very nice to see these machines at work, from harvesting, bailling, trasport, and such, blessings
Draper header was cool to watch Pretty neat the way it flexes Thanks for sharing
Sweet combines. Nothing runs like a Deere. If it ain't green... It ain't mean!!!
😁👍👍👍
Really enjoyed this video!!!! Amazing how fast harvest happens. Great baling action too. Really exciting video. John T.
Very good crop, very nice equipment and last but not least very good video 🚜
Thank you for watching.
We grow winter wheat mostly for the straw to bed our young calves on our dairy operation. When I was a kid, my dad always baled the oat straw in the fall, but sometimes there was so much new seeding (hay mix of alfalfa, clover, etc) growing through or weeds --OR-- it was too wet to harvest. Now we use a "silage buster" mix of oats/peas/triticale as cover for our new seeding hay mix and chop it off mid to late summer.
Great vídeo Jason.
They make a pretty decent window for coming out of a rotary. My IHs hardly have anything left. Sweet video bud!! 👍
Just Awesome
Wow…
What a beast!
This is my type of ASMR
The track mounted tractors and combines are pretty sweet when they are working, I would think it's bad enough when you have a flat when you're out working the field have you ever seen one of these machines break or throw a track in the field? I would think that would be a O GOD Nooo! moment.
Great video
Impressive
appreciate your time. way ahead of us in north ohio
Amazing i love the combines 💪😁
Thank you for watching.
@@bigtractorpower greetings from burley idaho bigtractorpower 👍💪
Awesome Jason.... Love the big combines... I have a serious case of equipment envy!!!
Kind of miss the days of the old 95 and 105…
Great to see that wheat harvest has started😁👍
Nice video👍👍
zero waste, thats so awesome
Whether you leave it behind to decay and become part of the soil or bale it, it isn't wasted.
Got to have plenty of wheat to maintain this area as the Batter Capital of the World. Wow, 13:15 that grain cart can unload 850 bushels per SECOND? AMAZING!!
It was such a long, cold, wet spring, that it seems funny that they are already harvesting crops and it really won't be long until they start taking corn and beans off.
Good video.
Thank you for watching.
Ŕeally enjoyed the video great as always thanks Jason
Wheat harvest will be in full swing this week.
Hello! Fine combine in an excellent crop.
Wheat harvest is a great time of year.
@@bigtractorpower 👌
Nice setup and a great video 👍🚜
Thank you for watching.
Love it! Another great vid. Keep them coming!
Thank you for watching.
Another great video !! Nice job !!
Thank you for watching.
Cutting with a S670 with a 35 foot header right now.
Very nice combine. I like the S660.
@@bigtractorpower ran the S670 on Saturday for some friends of mine, and ran one of my bosses S770's that he has leased from Olsen Custom Farm's yesterday, and it had a 35 foot header as well. Both machines are real nice. Has the Garnett's got started yet? Looking forward to a Garnett video!
Me gusta la cosechadora paso parte de mi tiempo.
😁👍👍
Yes i really like your Video and i have some videos talking about Batching plant and production concrete .
Big squares better. No stopping after each bale. Easy to stack and transport.
Most of the straw gets baled up in the UK, its a good commodity to sell on if not used on the farm, it will be sold to other animal farms & even to power stations that produce electricity for the cities.
👏👏👏👍👍👍
😁👍
gday mate....love the video clips....i have a request......while we see harvesting, unloading etc etc, can we see a harvester grain tank go from dead full to dead empty please??.....never seen that before.....would love to see just how fast those augers unload a tank......cheers from Queensland Australia!!!!!
We use a s670 30ft Draper and a 7800 with a 568 Deere
Very nice 👍👍
👏👏👏👍
Our wheat in Germany is still green, guess it will take 5 weeks or more until we harvest
Here’s a 🤙🏼 for how much dust you inhale making these videos.
13:10 You said the cart unloads 850 bushels per second. Mine can’t do that. He must have a 5,000 RPM PTO
Yes I messed up. Stop in corn planter mode. It should have been per minute.
✌️✌️✌️✌️
New sub! Liked 🚀⚽️🙏❤️
Thank you for watching. I try to post at least 3 new videos per week. I will have a new one on the John Deere 6030 tractor today.
Did you say 850 bushels per second? Try per minute. 🤣 Still very fast!
Ugh I meant to say per minute. I need to get back into harvest mode. Too many corn planter videos.
very good video, thanks! Did you also film them while they were collecting the bales.:)
I was not able to. I filmed this at 5:00 in the afternoon and was 80 miles from home and bale collection team and bale wrapper were a few miles down the road getting ready to move to this field. The farm had two 6170Rs with loaders and flat deck wagons collection the bales.
@@bigtractorpower wow i would have loved to see those 6R´s because we have a 6175R on our farm...but I really can understand. that it was to late to record them...anyway... very good video!:)
@@bigtractorpower thanks for answering!:)
great video 👍, you might wanna revise the cart unloading speed, 850 bushels per second seems too fast 😂😂
I thought that's what I heard too. I was like 850 bushels per second? dam
What was the moisture running on that wheat?
19% today.
@@bigtractorpower im not surprised cause its been raining nonstop here in west ky
Does JD offer tracks for the rear of their harvesters? If not, why not?
Good question. They do not. I do not know any manufacturer that offers 4 tracks on a combine. They are aftermarket kits to add rear tracks. The front tracks are the main drive wheels and carry the full eight of the combine. The rear tires are for support and steering. Once the main tracks have cleared mud and rear tires can power through. The front tracks also reduce compaction by carrying the eight.
One thing I'm surprised is with big farms baling straw they don't have john deere Plus2 accumulators
Stay tuned I have a video on a big straw operation with three Plus 2s.
@@bigtractorpower great cuz its weird that with round baling you would think being able to drop 3 bales where ya want would be a popular item for alot of farmers to buy
I work for a farm that should be starting to cut tomorrow or Monday, sometime next week. The farm is located in South Central Kansas near Conway Springs and we will be using 2 John Deere 9660 STS combines (1 is a bullet rotor), and a John Deere 9760 STS combine to harvest wheat. A John Deere 7800 with the 740 Classic Loader on it will be used to pull an A&L F705 grain cart. This harvesting team is gonna be harvesting around 2000 acres of wheat, MAYBE close to 2500 or 3000 acres.
The farm does do some straw baling, however they don't own a round baler. They call someone who owns a baler to bale it for them and my bosses have had me use the 7800 with the 740 Classic Loader on it with a bale fork on it to move the bales.
Way back in 2005 I put around 1200 hours on a brand new 9660 working for Neufeld Harvesting out of Inman, Kansas, good times
@@walkerdb84 well howdy there fellow Kansan!
@@JacobDoffing42 Well I'm actually your neighbor to the south in Central Oklahoma, I only worked for the Neufelds for one summer :)
@@walkerdb84 well Inman is in like McPherson or Harvey County, and Conway Springs is in NW Sumner County
850 bushels a second? 🤣 Perhaps an error by a factor of 60?
How are they able to get such clean wheat? Anytime we grow wheat, we get splotches of weeds throughout the majority of the field
They apply a herbicide after the wheat is drilled in October and then a second herbicide application in early March.
May I ask that the crop has been harvested very late.
it just got done here in west ky. our winter last frost date is April 20, and we had a cold snap that kept the ground temp at 50 degrees for 2 weeks past that date. I didnt see any wheat coming up in the fields here until around may. the fields just now got brown over the past week and its been raining a lot, so this week is the first dry week for farmers to get the what harvested. The past 3 weeks have been rush to plant corn and beans
Theres a hare running at 2:06 lol
He got out of the road!
Are they going to drill a second crop of soybeans also?
Yes they do. The air drill was just down the road with the sprayer.
They don’t normally bale straw
When will you be riding with Matt
This week.
@@bigtractorpower ok cool
850 bu./sec ????
Come to the Madison wi area sometime! I have seen multiple case ih Steiger 620’s near the Wisconsin dells too
Как называется модель рулонного подборщика ?
Hi Jason!
I am sure you have heard of NEXAT harvester from Germany.
Please make a video about it and give your opinion on it.
What is the weight of these round bales of straw and dimeter and width of each bale?
How many bales per hour are produced.
