Great video as ever, the figures you quoted at the start are absolutely mind blowing to someone here in the UK, that field that was being harvested is larger than the majority of the complete farms here. A truly well oiled team of harvesters well coordinated and a great watch.

Wonder why they run the reels so far down into the grain? I learned to set the reel so it wasn’t much deeper than the heads of the grain, so the reel didn’t shatter grain off the heads and/or knock heads off the grain stalk.
They had heavy rains which knocked down the wheat in spots lodging it. The mudd in the beginning is a dead giveaway that storms had been in the area . Thick wheat will lodge after rains to quickly harvest it without losing yield they run the reel lower and faster . With the macdon heads the reel can run lower without issues especially in beans . My family runs 2 40 foot macdon heads .

Big farming is just out of hand they took the small farmer out, and now have to haul ass to get the job done. And some of them not paying for land rent..
Great video..... very interesting to see the system there!!! 2 crops in the one year is crazy!! That was some shower of rain too!! Two crops in one year is a nice system. Wheat in June and soybeans in October. This 1,000 acre field is separated by a tree line from a 3,000 acre field you see in many of my Case IH Steiger and Axial-Flow videos. The farm in videos largest field is 2,800 acres which has been in several BTP videos.
We just started wheat harvest yesterday, had about 400 acres planted but about 150 of it pretty much taken out by weeds so we're not sure our guys will be able to harvest that circle or not. We'll have to wait and see when they get to it.
On my bosses wheat harvest operation, there's 2 John Deere 9660 STS combines (one is a Bullet Rotor) their oldest brother owns a John Deere 9760 STS combine. The bullet rotor combine uses a John Deere 635D 35' draper head, and the other 2 combines use 630F 30' hydraflex headers, and with the grain cart, their oldest brother owns a John Deere 8120 with tinted windows that I used last fall to haul corn with an A&L F705 700 bushel grain cart. I have just 1 question, how many Million $$$ worth of machinery was present in this video The 1st combine that I operated had a 14’ header we’ve come a long way Baby
You are looking at nearly $800,000 per combine, $500,000 per grain cart tractor and over $100,000 per grain cart. These are industrial sized machines that cover 33,000 acres of crops in a season. Their size and horsepower are a good investment in getting the crops to market.
Repent to Jesus Christ! Are you a sinner? Luke 5:32 King James Version 32 I came not to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance. Luke 13:3 King James Version 3 I tell you, Nay: but, except ye repent, ye shall all likewise perish.
What about crop residue management. My family farm is zero tillage but there is no way that you can seed into the crop residue from that wheat stand and not have a very serious pinning issue.
They knew but you cut every acre you can until it arrives. Rain is detrimental to wheat when it is ready to harvest. Each rain on it lowers its quality. Some times storms just pop up in the summer from heat and humidity.
The storm did not really hurt anything. It knocked some corn over but they were back to cutting the next day. The begging of this video was filmed the day after the storm that’s why you see some mud.
Nice video but they are heavily subsidized. Even they said "Without the Federal Govt, we would not be able to survive". Also they farm 15k acres of land and only generate $450k revenue? I farm 3k acres of land in Ga and generate more income than that.

In central Ontario it is combined last week July first ofAugust

Hi Jason, i just wondering what is the yield for wheat in this Kentucky's area?
Here in France it is about 8 ton per ha or 120 Bu per acre.
