I'm terrified of bronzer but really want to get over this! Standard powder bronzer just doesn't work on me. It looks sort of muddy or orange. I like the sound of something to mix in just to add a touch of summer. I usually go slightly beige in summer 😂
Try the Makeup by Mario skin enhancer! I have very fair skin and the shade light works perfectly. You literally can’t mess it up. I heard the Physicians Formula diamond bronzer is a dupe but it only comes in two shades so I don’t know if it works on lighter skin tones. The makeup by Mario serum bronzer in light mixed in foundation is gorgeous but it more wakes up the skin. I don’t like it as an actual bronzer because the shade light looks too strange on my skin tone.
As someone with light cool/ neutral skin I wasn’t interested in bronzers at all until last year when I was convinced to try the Gucci powder bronzer! I absolutely love it and one type of bronzer is enough for me lol 😂 (unlike blush - I have too many blushes in all the different formulations 😂)
I'm a light skin with cool under tone, and I absolutely love the Gucci bronzer in shade 1. It's got a slight pink colour, and it's perfect 👌 for my cool under tone
I think you may have misspoke about the Armani, 90 is the lightest shade, not the middle, which is 100. I have the 100 with a fair to light olive skin tone, and it’s a great shade.
I totally did misspeak. I assumed it was the middle shade which is what I always get and I put the shade name in upon editing and it’s a 90. No wonder it kind of looks like foundation in the swatches.
I have the Jones Road (love), the Armani (like a lot), the Mario (like a lot), the Saie (coolest color - like a lot), and the Glossier (LOVE). Not planning to get the Drunk Elephant or Cali Ray (too warm). No need for Tarte. Especially for summer, these light weight liquid bronzers are appealing to me! Try the Glossier. I think I have the second color.
Hello Rabbi Roz! I was ALMOST going to include the Glossier in this round up and then didn't at the last minute. Decided it was like the Milk and not quite liquid enough. I think it's a shameful omission. Sigh!
I absolutely love the Makeup by Mario mixed in with my foundation! I have fair skin and use the shade light. It wakes up my skin without it looking like I have a face full of makeup. It looks natural and more alive.
I never used liquid bronzer (or brontour because that’s how I use them) until I realized it lasts much better on my combo oily skin than creams. The way I’ve been using them lately is right after foundation…then I powder with my LM talc free setting powder. Then I use all my powder cheek products. It just adds depth and looks very natural! Oh you nailed it! I have a warm olive undertone so finding a shade in bronzers is always dicey. I’d never add a liquid bronzer to my foundation. That would look horrible! It’s hard enough to find one that looks good on the cheeks. I’ve been using the Glossier Cloud Paint bronzer in Swept. I like it. It’s a bit dark for me, but it has the correct undertone, so I just have to be careful with it. After seeing your swatches I’m really, REALLY interested in the Makeup By Mario. The shade seems PERFECT! I’m afraid it will blend into nothing, but the shade is just so good, I need to try it. THIS WAS SO HELPFUL!!! I’m so glad to see all of these side by side because it really showed off the Mario shade difference for me! You’re the best!!! ❤
I love the way that you use the bronzer and make it work for your warm olive complexion. That’s so smart. The Mario kind of does blend away to nothing which will be the opposite of what you’re having to do in terms of carefulness with glossier but maybe that would be a nice change
Hi Rebecca! I’ve used powder bronzers and creams but have never used a liquid bronzer. Since I use Armani luminous silk foundation I think I’m more drawn to the liquid bronzer from Armani. Is this Bronzer glowy like the foundation? ~CeCe 🤗🌹
I have the Jones Road and really like it. The Drunk Elephant makes me look like an oompah loompah! Not a good look. I prefer the Surratt in Clair. It actually has more red while the Doux is more yellow. Either works for me but the Clair looks more sun like. Typically of Surratt the powder is so soft, in the best way, and builds without becoming cakey. My other favorite is Gucci. This video is great.i love watching you swatch all of those liquids!❤️😘❤️
Great video Rebecca!🎉 I've actually never tried liquid bronzer even though bronzer is a staple in my makeup routine daily. You've given some great options - very helpful! Thanks again and love your channel!❤
I use Daniel Sandler's Watercolour Liquid Bronzer in Hot Totty and it is fine. I still prefer a powder bronzer like Surratt Soleil Clair. Between the two, I feel like I am covered in the bronzer category.
Hi lovely Rebecca !! To be totally honest like you I like my powder bronzer . I don’t think I have ever tried a liquid bronzer so I can’t give a fair opinion on them . ❤️🤗
Powder is always better in my book also. But I don’t mind a nice liquid bronzer. One day when you’re feeling like you want to try something new, keep it in mind
I always appreciate these round up videos. Which pretty, shiny object is best for me? ✨ I’m still intimidated by these, and have too many powder bronzers anyway. 😊
I’ve got olive skin, the only bronzer I’ve ever loved was the Bobbi Brown Illuminating Bronzer in Antigua which is basically a light pink blush, lol. And it appears to be discontinued. 😢 I don’t mess with these I know they’ll turn orange on me. I love your content thanks for the great video!
I’ve been watching more and more of these being released but haven’t jumped in yet. I have a dupe for DE by Pacifica which is ok but don’t seem to reach for it. I think because I’m more a powder girl. I do love the chantecaille especially since I like the gel texture, cooling, during summer which is when I do the warming of my face look.
I have never tried liquid bronzer, just like liquid blush I am intimidated! I know it’s only make up but once I have perfected my foundation I don’t want to ruin it by being too heavy handed with liquids that I then cannot blend 😬😊💕
It’s not that you’re intimidated, Whitney. You’re just a woman who knows what you like and knows what looks good. It’s confidence rather than lack of confidence! ❤️
They only sort of liquid bronzer i have is the Glow recipe hue drops, i love it for when i don't have foundation on, and i just want my skin to have a slight bit of colour. I'm more of a cream bronzer girl over liquid
I am definitely a powder fan as well, but I have been interested in trying liquid bronzer. Thank you for this video-I am going to look at the deeper shades and try one. You looked lovely as usual❤
Rebecca I know you don’t review drugstore products, is it because you’re not interested or do you think we the community aren’t interested? Drugstore brands have really stepped it up, they’re duping more expensive brands and doing it well. Drugstore brands aren’t as cheap as they use to be.
Hello Roberta! I could say a lot of things including the fact that that’s not what my expertise is in but, if I can be entirely honest with you, a content creator has to have a niche. I have so much fun doing my hair gadget tutorial stuff but it never does well. Why? Cause it’s not my niche so I do high end and luxury and some content creators only do luxury. I dip into drugstore and have many times but, for the most part, it’s just not my realm and it’s just one of those things that a good business plan doesn’t spread itself too thin basically, if I’m being entirely honest. But drugstore is not what it used to be. It’s giving big brands and big names a run for its money For sure. But it is a another genre basically and that’s about as honest as I could be. I have mad respect for drugstore Makeup though!
I saw the first part of your reply. I hope you didn't take it down. NEVER offended. TOTALLY know it was feedback and I'm so grateful for that. Oh dear, I hope I didn't sound offended. Not in the least. I appreciate and value your opinion and am so happy to have you here.
Lovely video, thanks so much, dear Rebecca!!!🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩Here, for liquid, i love the cute little ones from Glossier, i have the first 3 shades and love them, 1, or 2 mixed, or 3 mixed! For liquid, my Chantecaille is a like. Because of the colour. I can accept another stupid jar, Rebecca, and the formula is perfection, cooling as well, like their foundation, but i can only wear it mid/end summer, it's quite warm. So Chantecaille if you read this: we want more colours! Cream contour/bronzer: quite some, but most used, the WA ones, use the lightest 2 shades, mostly mix them! Love more cream bronzers of course, also for instance, especially in winter, the Nars Cream bronzer Laguna 1! Foolproof as well. Powder: wow, difficult, there are more than 1 that i love, but most used, the Tom Ford Terra! Also the Gucci in shade 1 i still love, as well as the PMG in shade 2, Victoria Beckham bricks 1 and 2 (but hate te heavy packaging which always opens also when i do not want it). Jones Road powder bronzer in shade 2, a no-nonsense fool proof simple bronzer, but good! Not any release from this year or last year, but, when these brands don't want to make what i want, than i not not purchase. But cream/liquids: some nice additions! And it does not always have to be new! When it's good, it's good!!! Wishing you a wonderful day!!!❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤

I currently have Glossier liquid bronzer which is really nice and easy to use with a doe foot. I do find that it appears to disappear throughout the day. I really want to try the Jones Road gel and powder bronzers, I just get hesitant as I cannot try before I buy.
I was debating including the glossier in this round and, at the last minute, I decided it was more of a gel than a liquid but I’m not sure that was the correct decision
I have got the pai impossible bronzing drops got them in a cult beauty edit ,we need them here in UK it's raining again lol xx they are a good product when I rem to use them xxx

I have been interested in the Mario one but knowing my preferences I don’t know how much I would use it. It’s still fun to try the new things though.
I just bought the Saie in the same shade as you have. I love it! Better than my Tower 28 cream bronzer. My favorite powder bronzer is my HG Hourglass one. A lot of powder bronzers are too drying on me, or have shimmer. But, the Hourglass one, for me can’t be beat. I have been told I have a great tan when I wear it. lol. If only they knew. But it works for me, with a touch of coral blush. But, Saie surprised me. Love that one too
