@@chrisw1811 Have you noticed that nearly everyone you talk to who can remember that far back yearns for the time when we weren't living in a society that was computer and smart phone dominated.
In other words, when mainstream was cool. The glory years of mainstream music of all genres - rap included - are from January 1, 1970 to December 31, 2003. January 1, 2004 - present is crap. In short, after 2003 ended and when 2004 began, mainstream became a crap fest which continues today.
This is one of the fiercest badass remixes ever. Caron Wheeler's vocal swag and this jazz flow ain't to be messed with. I could listen to this joint all day, everyday. In that order !!!!
I was but a kid in the second grade in 92 with my first radio and hungry ears for good music that would pour through its single speaker from my local Hip Hop and R&B station. So this gem and the original version both play across the airwaves throughout the day, and still to this day I'm caught in the soulful rapture of this classic tune. 1992 was the best year of the 90's full of great music and memories and my childhood I miss. Great times and tunes. The 90's forever!
it's nice to see that there are so many people who finally found this remix again. I also was in good mood when i found it again ...and next step was to spread it to the music lovers out there.
I'm in total shock. January 30, 2018 I discovered this gem 26 years later. I never knew this was a remix and I like this one better!!!!!!! Can't go wrong wit either but this is pure soul. ✊🏿
This version is the joint as my Bf@the time would dance to this ALL night long! WBLS kept this version on rotation after Mo Money came out with the Wayans Bros. LOVE THIS MIX FOREVER🔥30YRS LATER
I thought this mix was so much cooler than the original version. WBLS in NYC used to play this one and it's the first I heard. When I finally heard the version on the Mo' Money soundtrack I couldn't understand how this wasn't the default version. So slick!
Thank you so much!!! I was born in 92 and my mom used to sing this song a lot when I was a infant. I've always had this song & Shanice - Love your smile in my head most of my life. Much appreciated to actually know who sings this song
Woow... I'm from Georgia, and in 1992 I was 8 years old, we had war here, so music was unbelievable comfort here... :DDD So I'm listening to this track for the first time and I like it... :))
I remember first hearing this on WBLS while driving up I-95 from a rough day at work. That was many many years ago and don’t laugh, I could even picture about which spot on the route that the song took hold. I spent many years and dollars on gasoline riding around trying to find the mix on vinyl. Talk about a deep impact. That was way back In the days before the web blew up big and UA-cam and Google even existed.Thank God for “dem internets”. Lol.
I'm a 92 Miami born baby. My mother told me she used to sing this song to me every day. It crazy how I find myself singing this same song to my son every day and he loves it!
This is my girl, I love her voice she is one the rare beauties of the 80's and 90's very few artiste can sing like her, Beyonce, Lady gaga, Taylor swift and others today got nothing on this.
I remember hearing this version on the radio either 92 or 93, mo money happens to be 1 of my fav comedy flicks and I rather this version than the one on the movie soundtrack💯
+1974cfjl Not as good as this mix right now...The flow Jazzy mix...Can't get enough. Soon as I heard it , I brought two copies ( When first released ).....
They used the original version in the movie "Mo Money". This version to me is better. It's more soulful, sultry, groovy and funky. Nobody and I mean nobody sings it like Caron Wheeler. That's word is bond!
Simply stated, one of the dopest remixes with one of the most unheralded songstresses of the 90's. How do the studios ruin greatness like this? #4peopledon'tknowadoration
One of those songs where I like the original and remix for different reasons. Also, the bassline and beat sound a lot like "That's The Way Love Goes" by Janet Jackson, since Jimmy Jam and Terry Lewis produced both of these beats.
Wow, I'm amazed at all the comments, because I party live in Nyc& don't recognize this tune, sounds similar to many. However, I'm in agreement with most of the comments because this is smooth, something I could really dance and groove to
I have been looking for this version for years. I had the "12" but I was always looking for the promo CD Single which had this mix on there and never found it. Thank you for posting this mix!!! Dope!!!
+Tony Townsend If you can find the CD single promo they is another few R&B mixes that not on the 12', ones is on you tube the other isn't even on there, i'm also on the look for that CD single promo, good luck and hope u can find a copy.
I miss the good old days when music was clean and pure and had meaning
💯! 👍
I know exactly what you mean .I miss the old days. I love the good times the house parties great music etc.
@@chrisw1811 Have you noticed that nearly everyone you talk to who can remember that far back yearns for the time when we weren't living in a society that was computer and smart phone dominated.
Music today is awful , I'm lucky if I like one song in a year these days

I loved this when it came out!!!! 92 high school freshmen year, music was everything to me and this remix was so dope!
TeeTee wallace same here.
same here...this vibe is just the best, it feeds my soul....
my senior year of high school I had a promo CD single with this and the hip hop version
one of my favorite remixes of the 90"s. And I had a lot of r & b back in the day

This is a good version with a twist of jazz!!!! 👍🏾🎧👣👣👣👋🏾👊🏾💕
I'm in total shock. January 30, 2018 I discovered this gem 26 years later. I never knew this was a remix and I like this one better!!!!!!! Can't go wrong wit either but this is pure soul. ✊🏿
Ken KONG lot of good stuff slept on during this time. I'm still learning about groups and songs
This version is the joint as my Bf@the time would dance to this ALL night long! WBLS kept this version on rotation after Mo Money came out with the Wayans Bros. LOVE THIS MIX FOREVER🔥30YRS LATER
I used to listen to this on WRKS 98.7 “Kiss-FM”, too back in 1993-94.
Pity ESPN Radio (WEPN-FM) took over the 98.7 frequency some 11 years ago.
I thought this mix was so much cooler than the original version. WBLS in NYC used to play this one and it's the first I heard. When I finally heard the version on the Mo' Money soundtrack I couldn't understand how this wasn't the default version. So slick!
True this remixes where made after the Soundtrack was out.
YEEEEESSSSSS!!!! ❤️💯🔥🔥🔥🔥👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👊🏽👍🏽

Groovy jam 😎👌🏽🔥
Woow... I'm from Georgia, and in 1992 I was 8 years old, we had war here, so music was unbelievable comfort here... :DDD So I'm listening to this track for the first time and I like it... :))
2024. On repeat ❤️
Listen to this joint every week! Caron, you are loved!
I love this version!!
one of the most underrated R & B artist/ songs of the 90's. especially this mix. this was my favorite of the beach of the war goddess 12" single.

I'm a 92 Miami born baby. My mother told me she used to sing this song to me every day. It crazy how I find myself singing this same song to my son every day and he loves it!
I love this classic
Lord Finesse brought me here spinning this classic on his IG live.
This is my girl, I love her voice she is one the rare beauties of the 80's and 90's very few artiste can sing like her, Beyonce, Lady gaga, Taylor swift and others today got nothing on this.
Love this version
I love this version. It reminds me of the NBA playoffs 1994 when they were on NBA RADIO. Before ESPN screw everything up!
Facts
Now this is what I'm talking about!!! My most favorite version of this song. Thanks a bunch!!!
Classic. I always dance to this song when I hear it.
One of the best songs ever written
This was the shit back in 1992 when it came. 23 years later it still is the shit
I remember hearing this version on the radio either 92 or 93, mo money happens to be 1 of my fav comedy flicks and I rather this version than the one on the movie soundtrack💯

I haven't heard this song in almost 20 yrs...Takes me back.
This is the version ....the only mix that matters....
+UBZUKKI There is another good few R&b mixes which are just as good as this.
+1974cfjl name them please...
Dance Hall mix (its a R&B mix), The Flow mix, A little Hip hop Flavor mix.
+1974cfjl Not as good as this mix right now...The flow Jazzy mix...Can't get enough. Soon as I heard it , I brought two copies ( When first released ).....
+UBZUKKI Jazzy Flow mix is slightly better than the 'Dance Hall mix' , but on even par with 'The Flow mix'.
Funky Jazzy mix is the best.

Every time I heard this version I think of 1993. NBA Radio would play this during their pregame shows or highlights. ❤️❤️❤️❤️
One of those songs where I like the original and remix for different reasons. Also, the bassline and beat sound a lot like "That's The Way Love Goes" by Janet Jackson, since Jimmy Jam and Terry Lewis produced both of these beats.
Freakin' Blown away by this shit here!
Wow, I'm amazed at all the comments, because I party live in Nyc& don't recognize this tune, sounds similar to many. However, I'm in agreement with most of the comments because this is smooth, something I could really dance and groove to
