Great video. My only thing is that Google Classroom is a very limited system and makes your teachers work harder, not smarter. Most states offer Canvas or Blackboard, both systems are better all the way around. Your school can populate the class rosters directly from the SIS, thus eliminating the manual setup by the teacher. You can also setup test pools from quizzes to create your exams, as well as integrating textbooks. Then teachers can archive their courses and import the content in a later course. There are so many options like this that leave me questioning the decision for choosing Google other than it is "free", but that is now changed.
What if you aren't connected with a school system that offers someting like Canvas or Blackboard? Are there other "free" systems that you feel are more efficient than Google classroom? Thanks

Microsoft has School Data Sync reads rosters from your SIS and creates classes and groups for Microsoft Teams, Intune for Education, and third party applications. Best of all, it's free. The gradebook is better, as is the delivery of course content. Additionally, you have Reading Progress that helps teachers with assessing students reading. It also contains the Immersive Reader throughout the system, a tool to help student swith dyslexia and learning English. The list goes on. From my professional experience, most states do offer Canvas, Blackboard or anther LMS. Google Classroom is a painful for teachers. You have no way of creating test pools, there is no real way for textbook integration with roster sync, just to name a few. From the technology management side, Chromebooks cost more to manage. WIth this, most schools are dumping Google simply because the free ride is over. You are limited on storage and the cost vs benefits are no longer there. Thus, it makes sense to move to a system like Canvas. Microsoft is the best option if you are looking for a free option. It offers so much more and they focus on providing solutions for educators. From Math tools to Reading to STEM, the benefits far exceed anything Google offers. It has the ability to synchronize with your student information system, as well as offering some amazing resources that can help students.
