Filming in my bedroom!
Shooting in a noook in my lounge room, no space at all!
In my dads house
OH MY GOD. That little girl looks EXACTLY like mine. I had to watch that part a few times but she really does and it's creeping me out and making me sweat. It's freakish. Anyway, great video, really helpful ideas. I've a really small space but the idea of shooting in a corner seems like an excellent and one I think will work for me. I record in a small bedroom using my mobile which is on a ring light. I'm also going to try facing the light against the wall and see how well that works. Thanks again.
We shoot them at our church resource center. It has more room than a typical bedroom.
Start small, point is just get started.
I start and stop and start again. I need to start being consistent.
@@ItsEkcho Same with me, I feel you. But we'll be more and more consistent with each new try.
@@ItsEkcho get on a schedule my friend 👌🏾
You got it!!!
You gotta just push record
LOL when your kid came in. Story of my life.
for all the starting youtubers, don't give up and keep going! you'll get there! 💪🏽😊
Oohs thank you this message is so encouraging 👐
Thanks 😊
One can only wish haha
Thank you!
I'm not even worried about "Getting There" @ this point, I'm just having fun making travel & tech vids👍💯
One thing that a lot of UA-camrs don't understand that the growth of a channel takes time. Nothing happens overnight and you're gonna need to nurture your channel like a plant. You need to water it daily, provide sunshine, and most importantly, have patience! 👌🏻
Very beautifully said and I couldn't agree more! Patience is definitely a key factor. That's why you gotta be doing this because you love doing it. If you're doing it for other reasons, like making a "quick buck", most will be disappointed. Much love for all creators out there!
@@wesleyvanpeer1988 Exactly! How is your channel going my friend? :)
@@ThreeTwentyTech Slowly progressing! Doing exactly what you described :-) Better slow growth, than no growth. Thank you for asking!
@@wesleyvanpeer1988 Most of the time slow growth is the only kind of growth. Overnight success often leads failure with the exact same rate. Take it one step at a time!
@@ThreeTwentyTech Again, well said! Good luck on your journey, my friend! We got this.
That trick with the 40 degree angle on the lighting is fab - makes all the difference!
"This video is NOT brought to you by Squarespace." lol!
If I don't film in nature, I have to do it in my living room. I have no other room available, and my living room is quite small, so these are incredibly helpful tips! #noexcuses - just do it.
I never thought of angling the light towards the wall, this is a great idea! I'm still trying to figure out lighting, and sometimes my videos can end up looking a little harsh, so great tip! I will add this info future content 🙌🙌
Totally agreed! There are so many awesome little doable tips! I'm going to use the 40-degree-ring-light-set-up tip tonight!!
@@LanguageIsFun Right! It's great how there's so much more accessible information online now to help creators! And awesome, I hope it works well for you! :😄
"Alright I think this is Chan think first vlog"
It doesn't matter where you start but where you want to be in a close future
Best wishes for everyone
I love how often y’all pull Sean’s first video out 😂 it’s so funny
🤣🤣
🤣😫😅
Right 🤣🤣🤣
Putting him on blast lol
I never knew that about pointing the light towards the wall. I'm going to try that on my next video.
Some boxy rooms have sound bouncing off the walls. It is another reason to consider how much room you have behind you and whether you need sound absorption materials. You can get a fairly cheap mover's blanket, decorate it the way you want and hang it on a wall. It my experience, it can really improve your sound.
Thanks for the tips, I actually made a mistake of sitting too close to the background wallpaper for my last video that I shot on "Futures Trading for Beginners on Binance ". Will try to move away from the background in my next video.
Thanks for the tips ser.
I love the thumbnail, I also find a toilet seat around the neck softens the shadows on my face. Thought I was the only one, I used to be embarrassed!
Lol!!!
This video blew my mind, so many amazing tips! I got some equipment but my shots were still terrible and I got so frustrated I had to take a break from making content until I could ‘fix it’. You fixed 90% of my issues in this one video. You nailed it, 💯 recommend for anyone getting started
I found so much value in your tips. I just launched my first video - shooting it from a spare bedroom. "See what I'm shooting in my bedroom" I definitely keep coming back to your videos! Got this one marked as "watch later" cause I need to keep reviewing it"
You give some of the best tips, advice when it comes to starting a channel. Amazing!
Thanks for the feedback!
Your videos are exactly what I've been searching for!! I'm trying to learn about the basic gear needed to start a channel on a barely existing budget. I always give a verbal commentary when I watch tv shows, so I thought, "Hmm, maybe I have enough to say in order to start a conversation on my own channel."
Glasses on subject always create problems 🤔 thanks for catching that part too.. GREAT tips ❤️😍😍
🤩
Great points, some things I did to maximize space: Falcon Eyes Mat Light, really thin and gives me so much more space. (I started with a ring light). Black out curtains to prevent light leaking in and make sure my light is consistent. Low aperture lens, nifty 50! The blur helps make it look more like a studio. Throw some light on the wall as well! Finally, I use the Manfrotto magic friction arm and clamp to attach my camera to my desk! Such a space saver. Attach as much to your desk as possible. Need that floor space.
hey which camera did you use which is best for first camera i want to shoot videos and some artist portraits
I've been shooting in my bedroom for the last 2.5 years. From day 1 to today is such a massive difference. Thanks man 👍
Thanks! One of the best small space video recording tips videos I have seen on UA-cam.
Tremendous value.
Massive value here, Omar. This is the second time I'm coming back here. Super helpful ❤️
I’m an actual educated broadcaster and had to hit this for a quick refresh on the green screen and what not. Awesome video I’m rebranding my podcast and starting back up after a couple years off raising new born babies hahaha. You’re a smart man
I just love Think Media! I love the way your channel is helping new UA-camrs like myself. Helpful tips everytime.
I loved the UA-cam Impact Challenge and now the 1k challenge is everything.
I'm grateful to you guys. I hope to grow my channel well and make more impact! Work, work and more work! 💪💪💪
Your videos are so practical and helpful! Thanks!
My filming set up is sooo bad. Just started my channel in January this year. Filming on my Samsung in the bathroom. It's thr only space that gives the most light and best sound. But I'm looking for ways to elevate. These tips were sooo awesome. Thank you sooo much. 🤗
Whoa. This point on Batch Record is just so beautiful. Thank you again
Love your wife's small touches 😆❤️
Thank you for this video.. I purchased a lot of equipment with a COVID grant a few years ago and I had such a horrible case of COVID, it virtually destroyed my lung capacity. Now, I have most of my lung capacity back and I'm getting ready to start my UA-cam journey. Thank you for your work!
Your videos are VERY helpful and informative, thank you Omar!
Audio: Blue Yeti and Movo VXR10
Video: Canon m50 + Sigma 16mm f/1.4
Light: Lume Cube Panel Mini, Go, and Pro.
simplified and detailed info, very helpful. Thank you so much!! And thanks again for all those tips!
I love it clean room before shooting
Such a great video. Thanks so much!
Thanks I'm working alone in my room in a rehab center atm...its hard but you guys are putting up videos that seem to be meant for me and I appreciate that ...stressed but ok. God is good☝️🙏🙏🙂
Thank you sooo much for all of this information you shared it’s much appreciated.
Batch-recording has been one of the best tips I've put into place. It helps keep the content moving into my editing flow without having to set up every, single, time. Thanks for all the tips in this video! I'm going to play around with lighting and corner shots some more.
I applied this advice and it actually made me improve. Thanks for your great content!
Great pieces of advice. Amazing video
Dropping GEMSSS in this video! Thank you!
These tips are so useful because if you watch all my videos, my UA-cam setup is in my small room. This is exactly what I needed! Thanks :)
Hi Omar,
Awesome tips. Thank you for sharing. Have a great weekend.
Another banger from Think Media (helps that it's the same name as my favorite skateboard company from back in the day), the tip to batch record is golden, when you're in the zone then make the most of the time and energy that you have.
Amazing tips here for people just getting started. Using the window is amazing, especially in summer, but when clouds start moving it makes lighting uneven through the video so it's a good idea to invest in a cheap keylight to start with
yah using sunlight only is very challenging cos you have to take video during the day and when the weather is good.. But during night you can't do anything and that's me!! It's better to invest in an equipment
WOW!!! AH-MAY-ZING video and AH-MAY-ZING tips Omar!!!
Love this video!!!
Other than a couple of staircases in my house, I don't have a stationary spot that I record videos, but this info will have me ALL SET for when I do!!!
Now... to go and do a small diy transformation renovation on one of my staircases (and vlog it!) as well as finish my office (ditto!)... which is very a very small office, so the corner trick is a blessing to learn ahead of time!!!
Excellent job Omar!!!
😊❤👍
Thank you for this ❤️💕
I loved the depth tip you shared.
Thanks , certainly wanted to know about ring light placement.
Great tips. Thank you!
Thanks for this one. Just what I needed!
Social media platforms aren't just a way to stay connected with friends and family; they also provide a platform for businesses to market their products and services.
I have a ring light and have been using it to record videos. You do see the ring light in my eyes. So you gave me a good idea to move it and shine it down on my face. Thanks for that
😂😂😂. “I’d like to find out what you’re shooting in your bedroom…….” On a serious note: great content, very helpful.
Great video, thank you so much.
Thank you for this!! ❤
Thank you so much! Very helpful and practical, thank you so so much 😊
Just what I needed to see today, thank you!!
Just made a video talking about my lighting setup in my bedroom studio as well! Great video guys!!!
Thank you very much for useful contents. hopefully more will coming.
Thank you so much. This is very helpful.
I really have to watch that video about the all in one stand again bc that seems like the perfect set up. I reorganized my furniture too. I signed up for that class (yesterday was good). I always batch record. Thanks so much for your help!!
Here ya go... ua-cam.com/video/80w2s5fzmSE/v-deo.html
This was helpful for my new channel!!
Got to work with what we got ! Space, camera or phone, etc appreciate this channel and info!
Thank you very much!!!
I use canon lens 18-55m
Thank you very much for sharing this.
Omar rocks! One of my favourite creators :)
Lol, Omar in the thumbnail!....Love it!
I would really like to see you give tips on shooting in workshops or outdoors. I pretty much never film in a single room/studio. I have issues with variable lighting situations.
That was great. Thanks a lot 😍
great video, so so helpful for us newbies!
Sean’s first video always cracks me up no matter how many times I’ve seen it. 😂 But also. Amazing to see how far he’s come. Clear that clutter! 👍
These videos are so helpful!
Great tips it REALLY helps me
Thanks for the video.
Thank you. This was very helpful
thanks for great advice😊
Hi Omar. I love your videos. Big dilemma. I have 2 choices. I have an upstairs bedroom with good light but more noise from both the house and outside yarn mowers and traffic. My preferred place is the basement which is more quiet all the time but obviously needs more lighting- its also where all the show and tell inventory is located. You have said before that sound is so important. so just wanted to know your vote- upstairs or downstairs?? thanks so much.
5:56 “welcome to my UA-cam channel!” 😂 😂😂😂
some great tips thanks. wide angle is a wonderful discovery :)
I think this video most Helpful for beginner UA-camrs 🔥
Lmao the ding 🛎 on the baby awww 😭🤣🤣
I’d love to see a video on pivoting entirely and whether making a video dedicated to that change so your existing followers can make the that choice wether they want to continue or not. I used to make beauty/makeup but I am now a freelance photographer and I want to make videos more related to that world. Travel content has been that bridge between the two as I transition.
Very helpful. Thank you 😊
Absolutely helpful
Amazing tips and I love StreamYard, I use it for my weekly live streams ( Give or take a few weeks skipped here and there ) I use the free version and it's great. I agree on the lighting and the lens part. Great stuff.

Omg, i need this! I only have a small bedroom.

That first video from Sean gets me every time haha

This will be helpful, I currently film in a sectioned off area of my basement, gotta start somewhere
