This is the guy who was dragged from a plane wreckage at 21 years old surrounded by 8 dead teammates. He then went on to help Utd back to domestic and European greatness, then with his brother drove England towards world domination.
No snowflakism, no mental health excuses - for me, relatively when all things considered, the actual GOAT.

Probably the best 2 footed player of all time. He was a scorer of great goals rather than a great goal scorer, but he had a really good return for a midfielder.

The word legend is thrown around quite a lot nowadays, but Sir Bobby Charlton epitomizes everything about the word legend. An absolute inspiration and his story should be told about in a movie/documentary to inspire the next generation of players.

As much as I regret the passing of Sir Bobby, true he was a fantastic footballer, and a gentleman on and off the pitch. As far as I'm aware he was never booked in his whole career, but it's now reached the stage of those who sit behind a microphone on radio or TV are doing their hardest to be the most virtuous.
So what, it is great to hear the virtues as opposed to the mud slinging and whining we continually meet in this crappy divided country right now - a breath of fresh air for me.
