Miriam Budet; Puerto Rican fashion designer with over 19 years of experience, first Puerto Rican fashion designer to present in Paris Fashion Week, Head designer of her own brand, specialized in designing for women who enjoy fashion, that love to feel comfortable without losing the edge and that don’t mind making a statement but love to make a difference.
During the past 19 years, Miriam has worked alongside husband graphic designer David Mercado in this amazing family business. Having worked non-stop on making their way in both the local and international fashion industry they have established Miriam Budet’s Prêt-à-Porter brand as one of the most recognized in Puerto Rico. Committed to the production and confection of their collections locally they do it with a fashion-forward and trendsetting sense of style. Created with a perfect balance between day to day pieces but with the right amount of edge and artisanal touch to make them unique. Working with world trends but always adding a Caribbean flare which flows naturally.
After hurricane Maria, everything changed in the island and they were forced to close their boutique atelier in “Paseo Caribe, San Juan” and moved everything, the entire operation to their home in the mountains of Puerto Rico in a town called Cayey, where they have manufactured the past collections. Last two seasons before the pandemic have been presented in Paris Fashion Week.
Her most recent collection “Lifestyle” came as a result of the worldwide pandemic we are currently living but focuses on making the best of whatever circumstances come your way; God has a purpose and a solution you must keep going and make lemonade with the lemons life gives you.

MIRIAM BUDET designs have been featured in Vogue Italy. Brands head designer Miriam Budet is a mother of 3 boys and has been married for 24years. She has good industry knowledge and is in the habit of keeping up with technology and sustainable fashion trends.
MIRIAM BUDET offers women’s and men’s wear, leather handbags, accessories and shoes. Their signature look is the maxi dress with a bomber jacket.
The most expensive design we have sold was $26k for a Bomber Jacket. MIRIAM BUDET has collaborated with Jennifer Lopéz and Alex Rodriguez.
