  • We’ve partnered with Hank Patterson to draw attention to the "Corner Crossing" issue. While Hank's wit and sarcasm perfectly highlights some of the ridiculousness of the situation, we can all agree the issue of public land access is no laughing matter. Public land access is a cornerstone of our outdoor heritage, providing access and opportunity for all to hunt, fish, and enjoy our shared wild spaces. This issue affects us all, not just in Montana but across the country. It's time to stand up for our right to access public lands.

I guess that makes millions of airline passengers and crew guilty of trespassing?

Thanks Hank, I was once denied access due to this very same stupid law. It needs to be changed.

I have no legal background, but if you're restricting access to the public's resource, it sounds an awful lot like a "taking" situation from a legal standpoint.

The entire thing is just mind boggling. Never under estimate how petty and pathetic people are. Just allow the corner crossing for Pete sakes.

Yes, this one is way beyond BS, but here in Montana "they" made it a law, and it's way wrong sided.

Looks like trespassing a little bit. Technically they could put up a 15’ high fence that touches their neighbors 15’ high fence and nobody would be able to touch the fence or destroy it? I wonder if anybody else is expected to just give away a piece of their land. I mean nobody would appreciate people walking through or over their backyard. Just depends what side of the fence u r on

" if anybody else is expected to just give away a piece of their land."
Nice try, chucklehead. No one is giving away a piece of their land except the public to adjacent landowners.

No, your fence would be destroyed. And no one's going to walk through your backyard. Unless you built your place on public land. Then they might. It's bs.

I grew up in Wyoming. I'm now in my 60s, and land access has been an issue for well over 30 years now. What these jerks have done is criminal.
