I have 3a to 3b curly hair, and my experience is you have to find your own "curly method" that works for you! I mostly let my hair air dry, but it also takes a whole day to really dry, so if i have to be somewhere, I just diffuse, on high to medium heat! I just make sure to put in some product with heat protection, to be fair, I also only do a full wash once, maybe twice, a week (I also use a microfibre hair wrap first to let the product sit a while and start the drying process). Product is also key, find one you like, and it might not be the one everyone swears by just the one you like and works for you! Or a combination of products, like in my case 😅. Oh and I brush my hair with the product in to shape my curls (and scrunch after)! Basically everyone's method is different, just find one that works for you and have fun! Also btw love the tattoo and the meaning you have for it 😊

PERFECT Valentine's Day!!! No pressure, your honey got you beautiful flowers and you just got to hang around the house & nurture yourself. That's wonderful.
My hubs and I have been married for 35 yrs March 4th .... he got me See's Candy (I love the salted caramel chocolates) and wrote the most beautiful card (he always seems to know what I need to hear) and we also just hung around - my mental health has been a little fragile lately, so it's so nice to have someone that understands "big deals" and grand gestures aren't always where it's at.

After working in animal adoptions for a shelter, it was interesting bc most people fell into two categories when it came to adopting after pet loss. Some people want to adopt right away, and others need to heal without an animal in their home for awhile. Both paths are understandable, I personally think id be in your boat. Enjoy life without the responsibilities and when it’s time again, the right fur baby will find you 💜

However, I've just adopted a senior cat and I'm determined to make the most of the time we have together, whether it's a year or ten years. There isn’t one way to live life. If you want to buy a house, buy a house! But don’t buy one because you think you have to.
It’s crazy to me how Americans actually get mad when people in their 30s aren’t buying a house or having kids. Like… just enjoy your life and let me enjoy mine? They literally have 50 years to travel and live in different places. Why do they have to buy a house and live there for the rest of their life??

We're typically moving once or more a year for the last three years. Huntington Beach is beautiful and I would definitely recommend it. We're off of Heil Ave and Bolsa Chica. 2300 for a one bedroom one bath with a parking spot. We're close to the beach and 15 minutes away from Seal Beach and 30+ from Newport Beach.

I'm a wavy/curly and I have really thick hair. I used to follow the method to a T but it really is all about making it work for you. I don't use sulfate-free shampoo anymore really because my scalp does better when it's clean (it also might explain why your hair was stringy, because you weren't getting it clean enough and then also adding a cream on top of that). I diffuse on low hot heat for about 10 minutes and then let it air dry the rest of the way.

Carrie, as I’ve gotten older I’ve started to realize that my hair has a sort of wave to it too! I wanted to try and lean into that and see just what my hair was “capable” of if I went all out and did the curly girl method. It looked TERRIBLE. I even adjusted products and amounts to work with my fine hair (plus I think wavy hair needs less product than straight up curls). I eventually got it to a point where most of my head would look cohesive (besides the top layer which never wanted to look good) and it still wasn’t worth the time and effort. Plus as a “straight hair girlie” I’ve always grown up running my hands through my hair and not caring - but that will disrupt your waves and give you frizz. So it’s a LOT to relearn to just not touch your head. Now I just shower normally and after getting out and parting my hair I scrunch with no product and let it air dry . It gives my hair a nice subtle wave/movement that looks much nicer on me without having to do the entire curly girl method. I suggest you try that since it’s fun to have not stick straight hair without having to actually put a wave into it with a curling iron.

I just found a solid apartment that’s rent controlled in a well maintained building close to a really great park & for now I’m thinking of that as my home where I’m planning to stay long term & put down roots. Like you said, I pay the money to be in a city I love with great weather as opposed to living in the middle of nowhere lol.
