There are people on the mainland who care. I have never been there but I know what the government did to the Native Americans. My wife and I are living on social security but giving what we can. You are in our prayers as well.
My ancestors were captured in battle in Ireland and sent out on slave ships. Their lives were torn apart thanks to Cromwell .

I found out when my home of 34 years burned to the ground. I bought the same sized home with the insurance money and now my property tax has gone up about 1000% between that and my insurance living on a fixed income I can no longer afford the place I’m living in. I’m sorry, but given the location, the property will be reassessed and those people that lived there before will never be able to even afford to buy on the island… they’ve essentially stolen your land. You just don’t know and by the time you realize it, it will be as quiet as the police chief was during the Las Vegas shooting. Maybe that’s why he was brought in..
