It's 2018 maybe (maybe 2019) and I have some things to say about Andrew Wiggins approach to the game of basketball - specifically jumping, how this guys choses to jump and why I can't handle it. Also feel free to rip edit or flat out steal any of this

The nba UA-cam goat! I got so excited when I saw the notification, and I have been watching your old videos a lot recently, what an unexpected delight 😬

its a hop step size up jump. he had to do it to ruin rudys timing to block it. wiggins tall enough to not have to jump that high.

Always love watching your videos. Topics and discussions no one in the NBA UA-cam-Community really talks about.

I have always been obsessed with this wiggins dunk for years but couldn’t never put my finger on why it looked so cool and you hit it on the head

Jumping off one leg is easier because of the build up in acceleration. 2 feet...you have to gather yourself and that slows down the force youve built up accelerating. Only time i jump of two legs is if im in a situation where i dont have to run to take off

The funny thing is he still does this. Go back and watch his dunk over Luka in the WCF, he did the same thing and had the dunk of the year because of it

One foot jump is superior. You dont even really use your jumping foot as much as you use your off foot knee to thrust yourself in the air with pure momentum.

Little known fact...the one foot jumper was introduced and popularized by Jean Claude Van Damme and Bolo Yeung when they would shoot hoops on the set of Bloodsport

Tracy McGrady did this exact thing when he dunked on Mutombo. (it's in the "Tmac top 10 dunks" video from the NBA channel)
Plus I'm sure I've seen him do that a few more times when he was on the Raptors

I loved the video, but the last few seconds had a surprising lack of footage; it was an interesting choice to show the desk in blurred lense while commenting the final thoughts.
Keep doin you though man, love the work

If you don't kill your momentum, a one foot jump will take you as far as a painful twofer.
