would it be helpful to make a good impression on examiner in ielts, if i use those tips during speaking session? and your pronunciation is so clear which helps to capture your lesions much effectively :)thnx
+Anthony Thon This English lesson has given me some experience and I am looking forward to watching more English videos. After which, I will speak more fluently.
Although I don't consider English as a romantic language, i find it polite. Perhaps people try to sound polite through their communication which leads to a redundant speech / writing
At 5:27, can you tell me one thing, I have understood what you were trying to explain in the phrase "previous experience", but can you tell me one thing, if suppose, I want to clarify to someone about the experience specifically, should not I use previous experience if the experience had occured to me in the recent past???please clarify me if I am wrong
...DO let me know... I'm not trying to bash you... but I hope you DO realize it's natural to be redundant sometimes. Let's not be afraid of freer speech. Nevertheless your lessons are totally undeniably awesome!
do you have any physical existance..or its just the virtua.. just wanted to know where should i come to enroll myself for the speaking classes.. btw i m living in delhi so what i meant is if you have a branch in delhi please do share so that i can pay a visit and get enroll. the way you deliver the content its just remarkable... cheerss!! :)
+Sreenivasa Rao K The rules of grammar apply, in most, but not all, cases, across the board but spellings & pronunciations, often, differ between the UK & the US. I've not seen enough of these videos to notice spelling differences but pronunciations are US based.
+komeil Hassan beiki Yes. You can. More formally (when two choices are apparent): whether this is the case or whether that is the case. Examples: I can not determine if this claim is true. I can not determine if this claim is true or not. I can not determine if this claim is true or false. I can not determine whether this claim is true. I can not determine whether this claim is true or not. I can not determine whether this claim is true or false. I can not determine whether this claim is true or whether it is false. All are acceptable with increasing degrees of formality.
How are you today? Well, I woke up this morning, had a piece of toast, then I brush my teeth..... Fry! Look what you made me do! She won't stop talking. =P
+Adrian Lapadatu Future experiences are hypothetical. Imagined occurrences. For example, Something you desire to happen, hope for, wish for or dream about.
I used a lot of "basically" in my speaking. Thanks for sharing this podcast.
basically, actually, well, etc are the some words used as a fillers for a smooth conversation... it helps alot
+PRADEESH KR
Those words, in Western society, fill the conversations of those who did poorly at school.

"The reason is because ..." is redundant too.
Period of time/Time period is redundant too.
...DO let me know... I'm not trying to bash you... but I hope you DO realize it's natural to be redundant sometimes. Let's not be afraid of freer speech.
Nevertheless your lessons are totally undeniably awesome!
It's natural to be redundant, I agree. If you avoid being one, I am sure you would sound to the point and won't sound wordy.
Whether or not is too wordy. It’s not redundant.
when teaching 'whether or not' in this video, you say, 'so much simple'. Is that correct?
do you have any physical existance..or its just the virtua..
just wanted to know where should i come to enroll myself for the speaking classes..
btw i m living in delhi so what i meant is if you have a branch in delhi please do share so that i can pay a visit and get enroll.

Whether or not and basically aren't redundant.

Hi , I am going through these video's. I have a question for you - is it based on US english Or UK english. awaiting for your response. Thank you.
+Sreenivasa Rao K

What a bout when we're writing an essay for ilets exam and we want to write formal. can we use whether or not to make it more formal?
In an IELTS exam you already have a limitation on the number of words you can use, so try avoiding such words that would make you sound or look wordy.
But my question is aren't these kind of words more formal?
+komeil Hassan beiki
Yes. You can.
More formally (when two choices are apparent): whether this is the case or whether that is the case.
Examples:
I can not determine if this claim is true.
I can not determine if this claim is true or not.
I can not determine if this claim is true or false.
I can not determine whether this claim is true.
I can not determine whether this claim is true or not.
I can not determine whether this claim is true or false.
I can not determine whether this claim is true or whether it is false.
All are acceptable with increasing degrees of formality.
nagaslrac That's too formal.
unique = rare

how to speak English with right fluency?
past experiences... what if you're talking about some future experiences?
Experience is something you have dealt with in the past, Future experience??
lol
+Adrian Lapadatu
Future experiences are hypothetical. Imagined occurrences.
For example, Something you desire to happen, hope for, wish for or dream about.
Whether (or not) is wordy.
A year is time.
your facial expression is so cute
