FPS boost from DLSS Quality seems to put every game above 60 FPS, which is great! However, do you notice any really noticeable downgrades to game graphics when using that setting? I can't spot any difference, but maybe due to YT video.
I don't notice it. I was running DLSS on an 2080 super and it was much less noticeable on cyberpunk than the 40 fps i was getting. It's a great trade off.
DLSS has come a lomg way and improving with each update. As far as quality, it"s very difficult to notice graphical downgrades while actually playing. The benefits greatly outweigh the extremely minimal graphics downgrade.The only thing I moticed was screen tearing when enabled, which I solved by globally applying vsync on the nvidia control panel.
this is actually very sad 4070ti competes very well against 3080ti or 3090 or 3090ti many youtube videos show same performance but uses less power im running also 21:9 and this is scary not so satifying a 4080 does 2-25 fps more in most titles but a 4090 does up to double fps at double the price which is redoncilous i watch many videos beforew i buy to get a good picture on the performance as many youtube videos show
The performance of this card is embarassing, can't keep 60 fps in most of them, let alone anything above that. Not sure if there's something wrong with the GPU or those modern games being awfully optimized but I wouldn't spend $900 on a GPU this underwhelming in 3440x1440.
If I understood correctly, even with a 1% low around 40fps, if the frametime is around 19/20ish or higher, it feels a little off, "slugish" (for a lack of a better term on my part). Is that right?
Obviously a 4080 if you can afford to get it and it's a bit more future proof than a 4070ti. I just got a 4070ti though and can get 120 fps in most games at max settings on my ultrawide with dlss, which is great now but I bet in a couple of years it may struggle with games demanding more vram.
huh............... was gonna ditch a 6950 XT OC for a 4070 ti and low and behold.... its less FPS at 21:9... ugh I swear, the looks of it, 4080, or an XTX is my only path.. -_-
but you have to consider that amd doesnt quite have the same quality od upscaling and frame generation and its worse so you still get more fps with a better quality with the 4070ti. raw output doesnt always decide and this is were nvidia currently shines with its technologies.

I use this. Dark Matter by Monoprice 34in Curved Ultrawide Gaming Monitor - 21:9, 3440x1440p, UWQHD, 144Hz, 1500R, VA It uses the Samsung LSM340YP05 screens. It's been a great monitor for the price and they will replace it if you get dead pixels but thankfully I've never had any.
Guessing the reason I get worse performance than this test at 1080p ultrawide in Cyberpunk is due to me having a R7 3700X. Gonna upgrade to a R9 5900X.
Looking to upgrade my GTX 1080 this week, and this really helps! GTX 1080 has held up surprisingly well with ultrawide gaming but yeah the games nowadays are finally giving it a rough time.

I am now able to max out all the games I play and get 120 fps (my monitor's max) on most games.DLSS is a Godsend, but be aware that it may make some games encounter screen tearing still, so you have to sometimes make adjustments in nvidia control panel. Having said this, Starfield is an unoptimized mess. I hear of issues even with a 4070ti, I personally havent tested the game though. I still think the 4070ti is worth it.

Don't worry about it, it honestly doesn't matter. 4070 Ti with all the new Nvidia technologies is much faster than 3090 Ti at 3440x1440. Frame generation nearly doubles the FPS in some cases.

great reveiw and benchmarks at a monitor size not many will do .. exactly what i needed to decide to get 4070ti or not for my build.. 5900x, 32gbram(adding 32 soon to make 64) win11 pro , h100i liquid cooler(upgrading to 150i) 4x rgb fans 120mm , and a 3440x1440 35'' 175hz monitor and a 32'' 4k 75hz monitor looks future proof to me for a good 5-7 yrs unless i get a large 4k 144+ hz monitor.. 4070ti to me seems sweet spot yet again like the 3070ti in my current build! unless u want to burn through cash like it going out of fashion lol 4080 will be good for those with a 4k large monitor 4090 will be for pro gamers and streamers using huge monitors or multiple monitors etc the casual gamers and fps online gamers will love that gpu awesome reveiw !!

I appreciate the effort you put but in these tests, but this isn't not how anyone should use 4070 Ti in the real world. DLSS and frame generation are there to be used, they are what makes this card punch well beyond what people think it's capable of. Raw power tests in that way are misleading on my opinion. I'm running Cyberpunk 2077 with 4070 Ti at 3440x1440 all completely maxxed out with DLSS on quality and DLSS frame generation on + V-Sync enabled from Nvidia control panel for the game. I get almost consistent 100 FPS locked. The only places I sometimes lag is when you enter indoors with loads of lights like night clubs, but this is rather rare. Perfectly happy with the card, coming from 1080 Ti. Don't expect this card to last as long (6 years), but its still a big upgrade for me.

@@EagleBayNightSupplies There are about 33% more pixels on an ultrawde over an wqhd but the fps drop wouldnt be all too big, not like if you would change to 4k but it will be noticeable. just use dlss and vsync that is supported by so many games now or even frame generation if available and youl be more than fine.

My RX 6600 can play most games shown here at 60-90 fps high/ultra settings in ultrawide 1440p. BTW, the RX 6600 only cost 150 usd in my country. So 150 usd vs 799 usd.

Ada just came out 6 months ago it will only be further optimized with software/drivers, and I doubt with a 2060 you’re getting that performance with quality ray tracing.

DLSS is taking a 1080p texture and in real time using ai to scale it up to 1440p. There may be some detail loss. But it be hard to notice.
