@@DIYGeardo Hey, thanks for your response. And the temperature I should aim for. But how powerful is the heat gun you use yourself? I have one that is 2,000W. Is that OK, or will it just melt my phone?
My heatgun only had two settings: hot and f***ing hot, so I bought a new one with 45°-650°C range. The battery took quite a while to get out - probably wary of using too much heat, so guess I used not enough - and it got a little squished at the bottom edge. Great tutorial. However, taking out the battery was harder than on the clip. Battery slightly bent while removing, and stayed a little bent. Also, battery cover is a little creased, stretched where there was glue. Is it safe to install that battery in new frame? Thank you.
Hi Gerardo, thanks for the video. I managed to replace my phone screen using your video. One question, I felt battery is bit softer at one end while removing it , it’s not hard . Not sure why it’s not hard. Any idea ? Is it safe to use? Thanks
It sounds like the same thing happened to your battery that happened to mine. My battery got a bit warped/soft at the end after applying heat and prying it out. I gently pressed it into the new screen/frame and carefully reshaped the end, and after reassembling everything, it seems to be working alright so far. Hopefully yours works out okay too.

Good day bro i have a F127g with a broken screen I can't find a screen online for that model do u have any idea if the a125 or the a127 screen can work on the F127
This job is way easier by replacing the screen only. I just completed the entire repair with a new screen in less than 10 minutes without a new frame. I never removed the board or battery or any cables.
Thx for the video, and sry for the stupid question. I have samsung a12 (bought it january 2021, no fingerprint sensor) and the screen is broken, only the glass, otherwise it is ok. Also, if I have to open my phone, I was thinking that maybe I better to change the battery at the same time, I've been using this since january2021, and usually li-po batteries start dying around 18 months if I charge it every day.
Thanks for watching. it is quite hard to replace just the screen glass. You have to go with LCD & Touch assembly unit. You have two options, go for a genuine screen or aftermarket. Since the phone is quite old, the choice is with you. Yeah, you can replace the battery on the same time. Try to get with the frame. The repair will be easier.

You need to open the back cover; You do not need to take out the logic board. But you need to take out the bottom speaker cover. Then disconnect the lcd plug from the charging port board and the Other lcd plug from the mainboard (long cable). Then you need to apply heat to the screen from the front side to take out the lcd screen. We have some lcd only screen repairs (galaxy a51) for reference. Take out the screen and place the new screen with adhesive. Just make sure to clean the frame edges and apply suitable adhesive (b7000/or precut screen adhesive, do not use any super glue)
Personally I think applying heat to the wrong side of the battery isn't really a very good idea😂 the better option would be to use something like a hot plate that is only just hot enough to touch or ideally a 3D printing heat bed Set to about 55 degrees Celsius
Applying heat from above is fine as long as your battery is not swollen. Using liquid is good, isopropyl alcohol, but make sure it is not going everywhere. If it goes to the screen, the screen might damage.heat little and use a pry tool to remove the battery
Actually my phone is working fine - OK its touch and display too but the front screen is cracked and broken so may i know the prize for its replacement - You mean the display is working but the front glass is broken?
OK so I have to tear the whole phone to pieces without breaking anything and I have to remember how to put it back together AND I need a heat gun! This is bullshit.
