I love commands & colors and Battlelore 2e is my favorite implementation. It's a crying shame that it came out right before FFG got bought and shifted focus to that runewars minis game thinking they would be the next GW. I've got most of the units painted and manage to play a couple of times a year. For me it's the exact sweet spot of what I want in a skirmish game. C'mon FFG - there's still time to right the wrongs of history by putting out a new base set that's 100% compatible with 2e!
@@RickKoeppen I knew one guy I used to play it with. He really liked it. I told him he better get a copy before it goes out of print, and he replied "Eh, we'll just play yours" but since then, I moved away, and he is SOL! You're very lucky to have a copy! I have the first edition as well!
I absolutely loved fantasy flight games back in the day, but they threw away and discontinued games and IPs more often than I change underwear. This game had so much great potential. I had the first edition but I didn't bother buying the second edition because I could see what was going to happen with it. It would have been great if this game would have continued on and on with lots of different armies and expansions. Oh well.
These expansions are like 150-200 nowadays. Its really depressing because I've been enjoying playing this game lately, and there's no shot I'm dropping that kind of money lol

Speaking my language brother! Amen!
Prioritize getting 2e to the table, it's a great game and I think you'll love it. Start without expansions. Give us a report when you play.
I enjoyed BattleLore with my kid awhile back. I need to bust it out again. I even painted the armies!
Getting those armies painted adds a whole new level to a game that already looks decent on the table. That's awesome, I'd like to do the same!
It is a good game, just try it!
The expansions does add to it with more different units, a thrid faction and even more of some basic soldiers :)
I regret not picking the army packs when they were available, my eldest son loves Battlelore and we play atleast once a month.
Game is like a drug.
I can't believe you never played this. xD
Well, did ya play the dang game?! I am setting mine up today. It's been a while. This is one of my favorite games.
@@gowensbach2998 I did! It was a blast, I need to get it to the table more often, but we always have too many people and I'm not a huge fan of teams.

Still an amazing game.
I have the whole battle lore collection. Including the le table mat for the game.

Good lord 😳
J ai les violets aussi
Jealous of your expansions
Fekkin Americans, buy buy buy buy buy! Bought the game and all the expansions and never played! Jesus. Consumerism at it's most ridiculous!
Yeah, collecting rules. 😘
