31:47 - The older pilot you briefly see who says "Nice flying Lando" is Wedge Antilles, Luke's wingman from the Original Trilogy. The actor who plays him (Dennis Lawson) is also the maternal uncle of Ewan MacGregor (aka Obi Wan Kenobi 1999 - present.)
@@jok86er It was Luke's friend Biggs. Wedge's ship was damaged and had to leave the battle. Wedge appears in Empire (Battle of Hoth) and in Return (he flies into the 2nd death star with Lando. he shoots the main reactor. He also shows up to the Ewoks party and eats storm troopers with them). He was the most important side character of the original triology.
@@jok86er He saved Luke and then his engine got hit so he bailed. You see him later in the celebrations. In Empire Strikes Back he destroys an AT-AT, in the Return of the Jedi he hits the Death Star power core, contributing to its destruction. He is the MVP pilot.
32:47 Cassie, you're correct; all the voices were of the Jedi. Most of whom are from the movies, some are from the animated shows like The Clone Wars and Star Wars: Rebels. There are even voices of characters I wasn’t familiar with. was hoping to see them come back as force ghosts; but we only got to hear them, not see them.
I like that we hear and don’t see them. It gave fan service to those of us who are long time/knowledgeable fans, and is a cool little Easter egg for newer fans of the fandom. Also gives us fun trivia to talk about ☺️
Ezra was not a voice in there. All the Jedi she heard were Jedi who had become one with the force. This is Disney telling us that Ezra is not dead up to this point. Lucasfilm takes particular care to make sure as many elements are not overlooked as possible so since we do not hear him it is a 100% guarantee that he is alive. Since we hear Ahsoka it unfortunately means at that time she is one with the force as well. Same with Mace.
Really enjoyed your journey. I saw Star Wars on the big screen in 1977 and been a fan since and the original 3 are still the best. Glad you enjoyed them. Now jump on the Mandolorian.
The saga ends with the Palpatines achieving ultimate victory over the Skywalkers, burying the lightsabers in the sand that Anakin hates, and stealing their name 😅
18:07 Rey's father is actually a non-identical clone of Darth Sidious. Despite that, he wasn't strong with the Force like his "father," the Emperor. Sidious was disgusted that anything so ordinary could be made from his blood; he even referred to his "son" as a useless creature that he rejected. He only allowed his "son" to live out of hope that it would sire a child that was born Force-sensitive via the Palpatine bloodline. 30:17 The Knights of Ren are Force-sensitive and they basically worship the dark side of the Force. They would be able to sense that Ben Solo had turned back to the light side and was no longer Kylo Ren. When that happened, the Knights ceased to be his followers.
@@Xardion55 I would recommend the source book "Star Wars: The Secrets of the Sith". It's written from Darth Sidious's point of view and in it he says exactly what he thinks about his so-called "son", among many other things.
@@Xardion55 The novelization confirmed it, and the new novel 'Shadow of the Sith' will expand on it more, in a month or two. Kind of spoils the idea of a natural born son of Palpatine, and all the story possibilities there - but what the hey.
Watching this in theaters was so emotional! not really because of the movie, but because of Carrie Fisher's passing. On the other hand, I was really curious how they would put it off since she died before shooting the movie. But with archive footage, the help of her daughter and some great work overall they brought her back to us one last time
The final scene, when we see Luke and Leia's Force ghosts, always brings tears to my eyes. Losing Carrie Fisher means that scene hits a lot harder than it would otherwise.
They should've just had JJ do the entire thing. Palpatine probably had early signs of his return in JJ's episode 8 but it seems like they did away with any idea he had for that so they had to shoehorn his return. Not how you handle a trilogy at all. I'm not saying it would've been a better story but at least the entire thing would've flowed better~
Ridiculous, that's exactly what a person who didn't know how something unexpected happened would say. If you knew your friend was in a flight that crashed but then found the was alive, you would naturally say somehow he survived, until you found out why.
@@briansview2886 It's actually a sign of bad and lazy writing. Maybe it's something Poe would have said, sure that's fine but they had to explain Palpatine returning at some point in the movie and "somehow" is a terrible way to do it
I first saw Star Wars as a kid in the theater in 77. I saw cool lights and flashes, good vs bad, cool space stuff. I was hooked. The franchise has stuck with me through good and bad times. I love seeing people introduced to it and enjoy it. Perhaps that is why I like watching reactors.
Same, same, same. I also got to see this as a kid back when it came out in the theaters the first time and many times over the years. Through the good and the bad, I also love seeing new folks of all ages getting into this densely packed universe.
14:38 Luke, Han, Leia, Chewie and R2 are your friends 3P0. And they actually had a close bond unlike Rey, Finn and Poe who barely interact yet Disney expects us to see them as true friends.
I enjoyed your reaction. I believe Kylo had to use the force to trade his life for hers, ending life by making the greatest sacrifice, but imbuing her with with his spirit and making Rey the last Skywalker. I look forward to watching the Mandalorian with you.
@@bellethilrancthalion1109 He is still the Skywalker of this trilogy, confirmed by multiple people at lucasfilm. Leia is just as much Anakin's child as Luke is and it's misogynistic to think otherwise.
She was but Disney did a really poor job showing why she wasn't a "Jedi" persay, in the old canon Leia manifested her connection in a completely different way, she was no traditional Jedi, rather she was a gifted communicator and leader who could use the force to discern the right paths to take. She was never comfortable using a lightsaber or drawing on the force to enhance her combat abilities as Jedi do although she did train with Luke a little while she quickly left it behind and focused on being a politician and mother, raising three little ones who carried the power of the Skywalker bloodline. She was a Skywalker and potentially could have been as great as Luke at being a Jedi but she never wanted or honed those abilities. @@sparkleclover
Tesseract? Pod racing? Tienfighters? We're immensely proud of you Cassie! Cant wait for you to start watching The Mandalorian. You will love it I promiss
One of the worst parts of the sequels is how they crapped on Finn’s character. He was the most interesting new character in the force awakens and then his entire character turns into “rey! REY! REEYYYYYYY!!!!”
Made worse by them dropping a tease at his character having SOMETHING interesting happen when they’re dropping in the quicksand beans, just to have it go nowhere on screen for the rest of the movie
"I don't want the exact same thing as the OGs, I just want it to have that same feeling," Glad to hear someone with no attachment to the series prior saying it...

When I saw Episode IX on the big screen on the first day I held back tears because of Leia's passing. R2-D2 saw her birth and her passing. About a week or two later I took my girlfriend on a date to see it in 4X 3D screening. As soon as Leia passed she wouldn't stop crying even after we left the theater when the movie ended. RIP Carrie Fisher.

I agree, nothing in Disney SW even came close to the tragedy of that storyline. I grew up on star wars and those books broke my heart as a young teenager. The death of the greatest Jedi of their generation, Anakin Solo, breaking them apart and leading Jacen to embrace the dark side and betray everyone, it was a tragedy that they abandoned it all to make their own story which fell short in every single way. @@carybrown851
This was a FUN reaction video. Cassie's the coolest! 👍 My favorite parts were Cassie's reaction to Han's appearance (at 23:11 ) and Cassie's impressions of Palpatine (at 28:12 ) 😁😁
That was probably the happiest I've seen you in any of your reactions when Kylo and Rey kiss, such a big smile. Was gutted for you knowing what came next. Adam Driver as Kylo is a real powerhouse actor and very versatile. Would be great to see you react to some more of his movies.
That scene shook me. Pretty sure Palpatine used the Dark Side to conceive Anakin. If so, Palpatine is Leia's grandfather AND Rey's grandfather. Kylo and Rey are related. Eeeewww... lol
The only reason why Harrison Ford came back was because Carrie Fisher (Leia) passed away in real life and they needed someone to give that speech to Kylo so he agreed to come back for just the one scene. But the original idea behind the idea of this trilogy was to say goodbye to Han in 7, Luke in 8, and Leia in 9
Still so much great Star Wars to go!!! Mandolorian will blow your mind! Although, make sure you research Asoka a little before you watch! She was Anakin's only padiwan. Asoka was one of those voices Rey hears. :)
I went into The Mandalorian with never seeing the animated series. Whatever backstory Asoka has, the mandalorian explains enough that you aren’t in the dark. Im sure the backstory makes it better, but going in blind is just fine, too.
These movies are a mixed bag, but the one constant for me is that Kylo/Ben is the BEST character. I love every minute he's onscreen. Absolutely the highlight of this trilogy for me.
Told myself I'd never watch this movie again (not a fan of disaster movies), I made this exception because I love popcorn in bed reactions. Keep going strong!!!
It's a disaster of a movie but I found a couple things I actually liked about it after watching her watch it. I like that Leia was training Rey and she was having difficulties. That should have been Rey in The last Jedi. I like how they just flat out ignored that Anakin and Luke's lightsaber got destroyed in The last Jedi and was given to Rey. I like how Ray knew about the wavefinders and the healing power because she read the books that Luke collected. In retroactively gave Luke and his life more significant than the prior two movies.
Old star wars fans are very butt hurt by the new movies. They would much rather the star wars names just be buried and gone as Lucas wasn't doing shit with it.
You might not read this comment, but there is this fan made tribute to Ben Solo titled "The Last Skywalker" by Hero Fan Productions. It details Ben's journey by using clips from the entire Skywalker saga. It's really well made and does a good job connecting all nine films as well as some of the tv shows.
It's cool to see your cinematic journey with Star Wars reach the end point (for now until they start making new ones lol), though the Star Wars journey is fortunately far from over! As you mentioned, they started going into the TV/streaming world recently and personally, I think you will love love LOVE the Mandalorian. Don't want to give too much away but knowing you specifically and your personality, you're going to really enjoy that show. My only piece of advice is that during the first couple episodes, it might come off as like, "Oh this is okay." But by the third episode, I guarantee that you will be hooked, so just maybe keep that in mind when starting the show, not that the first two episodes are bad, they're very enjoyable, but they're kinda set up for the show's premise, but once that premise is established, I know you will be all in lol. Looking forward to it!
Having watched since the first Back to the Future, it's so endearing to hear you now making tesseract jokes and knowing SW peeps by voice. It's been such a fun journey.
"Fin, pick a girlfriend." was amazing because it cut through the levels of the different writers not knowing what to do with him and Rey. I think Ep 7 was building them up to be together, but then Ep 8 was written and directed by someone else who wanted to shake up the predictable plots. Then Ep 9 was back to Abrams, but at that point, all he could do was damage control. Messy.
Cassie, your imitation of the Emperor is something I didn't know I needed until I heard it. 😄 I cannot wait for you to do The Mandalorian!! Sooooooo good, with some awesome surprises!!
This is honestly why I really like you and subscribed to you, Cassie. Unlike virtually everyone in the world who have expectations and truly analyze movies, you don't have expectations and try to enjoy virtually every movie you watch and react from the heart. I'm not as judgemental as most of the people that react and analyze movies but I do know what I think is good and what is not as good. You think, in a way, everything is good. We badly need more people like you.
The Mandalorian is super fun. They take place in 5 years after Return of The Jedi (ep6) and 25 years before The Force Awakens (ep7) - Though Mando season 3 is supposed jump forward in time a bit.
I dont get its what do people like about his arc? I feel like he has the same issue Ray and Finn have of great starting points great casting and great acting but horrible writing. I dont understand why he decides to turn to the light. Maybe if they showed him having everything he thought he wanted after taking over the first order and it leaving him feeling empty and alone. Instead its just like he is either looking for the emperor because he wants a new master or because its a threat to his position. He finds out the emperor has been pulling the strings and is attracted to this girl he barely knows so he turns good. What am I missing that makes this a good and believable redemption arc?
The reason why Ben died is clear if you listen to Ray when she heals the worm monster in the cave, she isn't exactly healing, its life sharing. She was dead, so to make her live he had to die.
True...and they both lost much Power to palpetine already. They were exhausted and cause their a siblings in the force...He could bring her back to life with sacrfising his own.
I don't dislike the why, I think it's consistent with Padme's life being used to preserve Anakin and the Daughter's sacrifice in Clone Wars. I just wish they hadn't done it. No good reason either of them needed to die there. Pulled a ME3 ending in Star Wars.
@@Dr_Kubrick I'm not justifying it, I trully dislike those last two movies but it does not mean I can't be rational when there is self consistancy. You being an ass about it to everybody doesn't fix anything now does it? It just makes an ass out of you.

@@notatthistime3867 who cares? He was still the best part of the ST minus just being able to see the OT group again even if they were done dirty. You can still like things in something you dislike.
No. He's a mess of a character, a tantrum throwing manchild the trilogy first tries to paint as a "menacing villain" then tries to portray him as a victim to please shallow fangirls who only like him because they fancy Adam Driver. Kylo going insane and hallucinating Han who he killed talking to him is not redemption despite being portrayed as that and him forgiving himself doesn't count.
There was so much good in the sequels, but they also had some of the worst parts, execution, and pacing from any Star Wars properties. Rey can heal and is overpowered because she draws power from the dark side, as well as from the light. There's a UA-camr who made a video just before episode 8 came out that theorized that Rey was a Palpatine and he based it on her fighting style with a Lightsaber from episode VII and also from her theme being eerily similar in structure to Darth Sidious' After episode VIII came out, it seemed like he was wrong. But eventually he was proven correct by this movie.
Remember though, there were other Force users who had a similar approach. Mace Windu was a light side user who often drew from the dark side as part of his fighting, as can be compared to Rey's "grayness" in the force.
@@sarg778returnscodm7 I could be wrong but I thought Mace didnt really draw on the dark side but rather redirected his opponents dark side energy back at them. I really wish they would have made Rey a grey Jedi. When I saw the trailer for 8 I got so excited. I thought Luke was going to show her that the Jedi are wrong to focus solely on the light and the correct path was finding balance in oneself. Since the original Jedi balanced light and dark and he went looking for the first Jedi temple I assumed this is the answer he was going to find. I think if they would have done that then the sequels would have been great, without taking away from the other 6 movies. Breaking the cycle we saw in the first 6 movies. Instead Luke is a coward who tries to kill his nephew and Rey changes her name to Skywalker lol
Rey can do everything from the start without effort or character buildup because this was one of many "woke" movies to come. Movies were suppost to show "strong" women, competing with men. Another worse example is Terminator dark fate or the remake of Charlies Angels.
@@stefankrautz9048 the only problem with your statement is that you're projecting your own misogynistic insecurities on the movie. They never made a point of even insinuating that Rey being female had anything to do with the reason why she was good. If you want to critique Rey being a Mary Sue without merit, that's fine. But if your point is that "woman MC means woke agenda" then you are just showing what a snowflake you are. And pretty much the same can be said about Luke on the original trilogy. Nobody has a problem with that, myself included. But unlike Luke, who was a pampered farm boy, Rey was on her own already living a tough life. It makes sense that she was physically and mentally tougher than Luke at the same point of their respective lives. BTW, I'm no fan of the sequel trilogy, it has good moments, but the bad pacing, disjointed story and wasted potential of good support characters outweighs whatever they got right with the movies.
Cassie, it was so great watching you go through these! And I loved your LOTR reactions too. Your reactions are so sweet and wholesome, and I found myself getting emotional alongside you when it happened. Excited for you to see The Mandalorian! I think most issues people had were how things "somehow" happened and were far too convenient, like a 30ish year old dagger having a perfect map of the 30 year old destroyed Death Star wreckage. Visuals were beautiful.
It's not an ancient dagger. In no place does the movie say or even imply the dagger is ancient. It is carved with an ancient language, but the dagger was modern. It was very obviously made after the Battle of Endor.
Plus the whole "We brought Palpatine back with no explanation after Rian Johnson killing Snoke made us panic. We couldn't think of an explanation for why he's back. He just is. And to show we have no idea what we're doing we'll have characters theorise about it in universe."

The two worst big budget entertainment products of the last decade were GoT season 8 and Disney SW trilogy. With GoT it went wrong because the showrunners wanted to quit, so they massively rushed the ending. Still very strange that HBO didn't just replace them. But Disney takes the cake with how unbelievable it is how they approached the SW sequel trilogy. They had spent billions of dollars on the rights to the franchise and then they allowed a trilogy to be created, at the cost of another billion dollars, without any complete story for the whole trilogy written in advance. They just let two different directors do whatever they wanted with each individual film.
It really is mind boggling. You had one director set up the story and characters, then you had a second director throw out most of it and do something else, then you had the original director come back and then in turn throw out the second directors ideas and awkwardly try to fish some of his original setup out of the garbage can and patch together and awkward finale.
The OT didnt have a full story laid out. Do you think Lucas thought of Luke and Leia being brother/sister before or after they kissed? The real problem with the ST is the fans. They wanted the feel of the OT - JJ gave you that with TFA, then they complained it was too much like the OTs. So, Rian delivered an amazing story that took Star Wars to new heights, but again the fans complained about how it treated Luke or for some dumb reason all 3 stars werent in the falcon together. So, Disney panicked and went back to JJ and tried to shoehorn something together in the middle resulting in an uneven story. Disney failed by not sticking to their guns and letting Rian finish the story to payoff what he set up. Its still entertaining as long as you check your expectations at the door and accept the story given
@@wings31 to be fair, Rian wasn’t going to make another film it was going to be Colin Trevarrow. But you have to admit, sticking to their guns would have been letting JJ mastermind the whole trilogy, not letting Rian come in and dump out all the setup and doing his own subversion story. The problem more than anything was hiring directors with conflicting ideas of what they wanted a new trilogy to be and you can see that play out in the films. I agree though that trying to steer your story based on the demands of angry fans on the internet doesn’t work.
@@Motorheadache95 JJ *DID* mastermind the whole trilogy. My Grandpa was the first one to show me Star Wars, and this final chapter came out the year after he died. I was crying in the theater. It really helped me close the end of the Skywalker story while having a last moment with him.
You put more thoughts into the movies title than the writers did - yeah, i also thought Kylo would rise to destroy Palpatine since he IS the last Skywalker after Lukes and Leias passing.
"He's [C3PO] been with us through it all." Lucas's original plan from the very beginning was that the entire story would be told through the two droids. And this, from Vanity Fair: "Carrie Fisher passed away a few months after completing work on "Episode VIII The Last Jedi," but, due to the time it takes for post-production, nearly a year before VIII was released in theaters. Her final appearance in a Star Wars film came with The Rise of Skywalker, a movie that didn't even have a script when she passed away." They did an amazing job of special effects to create her scenes for Episode IX.
No VFX other than regular editing were permitted by Carrie Fisher's estate. So nothing like in Rogue One. Thats perhaps why the character's performance was so disjointed and out of place. The director and editors did what they could but it ended up looking very shoehorned in.
@@zybch Ok, so no "CGI" of her face, but I wouldn't call what they did "regular editing." Again, from Vanity Fair: "While Fisher's expressions were never digitally changed, everything except her face was rendered by visual effects artists. "Are they kind of making fun of themselves that the stormtroopers can fly now, like Leia?" Not until you said it--now they are definitely making fun of themselves lol
Carrie Fisher passed away in 2016 before the release of Last Jedi. When you see her in Rise of Skywalker, it's either old footage that had not been previously used, or a double with digital face replacement. The day after Fisher died, her grief stricken mother, actress Debbie Reynolds had a stroke and joined her daughter. She has the last line in her last movie Star Wars: Episode VIII - The Last Jedi (2017): "We have everything we need.". Her daughter Billie Lourd, auditioned for Rey in STAR WARS-THE LAST JEDI, without her mothers knowledge, and ended up playing Lt. Connix in Last Jedi and Rise of Skywalker. Billie lost her mother and grandmother a day apart. She said, "I grew up with three parents: a mom, a dad and Princess Leia. Initially, Princess Leia was kind of like my stepmom. Now she's my guardian angel. And I'm her keeper." Kenny Baker, the 3'8" actor who played the original R2-D2 also died that year. Did you recognize Dominic Monaghan in a short seen? You know, Merry from LORD OF THE RING.
Thanks for the honest and fair reviews, Cassie! There are die-hard fans all over these divisive movies, so it can be treacherous wading into the prequels and sequels without angering somebody. I'm an OT guy myself, but these movies are all worth watching at least once for the experience and to understand the culture. Glad you went on this adventure with us!
Ignoring fanboys and "woulda coulda" opinions, I think the main gripe people have boils down to consistency in tone and storytelling. The tone of movies shift wildly from movie to movie and there are apparent dips in quality in the scriptwriting and storytelling. A great example of quality and consistency is LOTR and the Mandalorian. Granted, hindsight being what it is, Lucas didn't have the luxury to film all his movies in a row or concurrently, so unfortunate changes in quality between movies was inevitable based on director availability and just how things were done back in the day and with large gaps between films. But it seems progress is being made with finding quality directors again (Favraeu).
@@CarbonPixel78 Yeah, for a company with their legacy and history of success, the two biggest errors they made that can't ever be forgiven are (1) not having any kind of plan for the trilogy in the first place and (2) trying to course correct -- twice -- as a consequence of (1). It's like those drivers you see in Honda Civics who miss their exit, so they try to go off-roading rather than being patient and taking the next exit. But in Disney's case, they made it worse by driving 70 yards before second-guessing their choice and trying to get back on the highway after the point of no return. It's like, "After the first rumble in the dirt, *_why_* did you think the second one was going to be a good idea?" The director (Abrams) confirmed a fan theory that Finn was actually trying to tell Rey that he was Force sensitive the whole movie. For some reason, they never included a scene of him clarifying or using the Force, but its where all of his feelings and hunches have come from in the trilogy, especially this last movie.
The Rise of Skywalker might just as well be called The Rise of The Non Consequential Convenience and Plot Devices. It's incredible how low effort the sequels in general are. Completely jumbled mess. Like, sure a Macguffin turns up in other movies but they go waaaay overboard here. Oh what a coincidence we meet Lando on this completely random festival, and we randomly fall into the sand cave at the exact place that the exact dagger is lying that points them to the exact place they need to go if they happened to approach that place in the exact spot to solve the key so they can find the exact place that the tool is hidden that will point them to the other place they need to go. They didn't even TRY to make it make sense. Also, Chewie dies, sad moment, oh no he's alive just kidding. C3PO loses his memory, sad moment, oh no just kidding he's all good. They couldn't even get the emotional scenes right. It's cheap and lazy. Not to mention the flawed story in general. The best thing about the sequels is Kylo to be honest. Great performance and the only one that felt like a real, complete, fulfilling arc. What a shame he was wasted like this.
Cassie, the so called healing power was actual giving their life force to heal. Ben was injured so when he brought back Rey he effectively gave her the last of his life force. That's why he died, but he died as a Jedi and faded away.
I know people didn't like it, but I think a major thing is that Ben had to give his life to save Rey. That was the secret that Palpatine and the Sith never learned - that the power to save another required complete sacrifice of oneself. Sith could never understand that. It meant he was in balance and at peace. And so was able to pass into the Force.

They should've just had JJ do the entire thing. He finds out the emperor has been pulling the strings and is attracted to this girl he barely knows so he turns good.
What am I missing that makes this a good and believable redemption arc?
There was an arc?
The reason why Ben died is clear if you listen to Ray when she heals the worm monster in the cave, she isn't exactly healing, its life sharing. She was dead, so to make her live he had to die.

There was so much good in the sequels, but they also had some of the worst parts, execution, and pacing from any Star Wars properties.
Rey can heal and is overpowered because she draws power from the dark side, as well as from the light.
There's a UA-camr who made a video just before episode 8 came out that theorized that Rey was a Palpatine and he based it on her fighting style with a Lightsaber from episode VII and also from her theme being eerily similar in structure to Darth Sidious'
After episode VIII came out, it seemed like he was wrong.

I would rather seen 7/8/9 all made by Rian Johnson, heck, make broomboy save the galaxy in the end, just have single coherent story rather than the weird patchwork we got... even Lucas original ideas has to been better than this
Yeah, turns out that she's not an angry hater of fun films.
I hate this movie so much for destroy anakin /darth vader redemption just because they had no clue what to do after the last jedi 😫
Exactly
And they didn't even explain it.
"Somehow, Palpatine returned."

LOVE that Wedge popped up, even for a scene! Credited as Wedge Antilles too, about time!
Fun little fact about the puppet from the beginning, Boolio, who tells Fin and Poe to "Win the war!" is voiced by Mark Hamil.
Please watch the STAR TREK movies! 🖖
I love Star Trek and Cassie's channel, but Star Trek movies are filled with old people and no romance. I don't think she's going to like them. If you're talking about the j.j. Abrams movies, she will probably like them more, but they are not very memorable. She would be better off watching the best episodes of The Next Generation. That seems to capture the imagination of everyone.
The original four, not the JJ Abrams hack jobs.
You should look up the list of all the "ghost Jedi" who spoke to Rey. Every actor amd voice actor who played a Jedi from earlier times spoke to her, among them: Luke, Leia, Qui Gon, Ahsoka, Mace, Obi-Wan, etc. You'll be pleasantly surprised.
Yes, lots of nobodies were pulled in for fan service in hopes we'd overlook the awful script and bad direction
@@docsavage8640 I was only pointing out something specific, not focusing on the script in general. Apparently you possess a great deal of hate for this film, but the vocalists are not "nobodies". But then again, opinions vary...
Hope you enjoy! It's grown on me since I've watched it in theaters. It's kind of a B movie version of Star Wars sorta like Attack of the Clones however it is enjoyable IMO.
I can't wait for you to get into the TV shows, starting with The Mandalorean. You should also watch The Clone Wars and Rebels animated shows on your own time to get a sense of the history of that universe.
Hey...uhhh why mandalorian first? Ashoka Tano is going to keep popping up in future star wars content...so your request can go eff itself. Don't listen to this guy. He lost his request privileges. Start with clone wars.
It was really fun to watch ur Star Wars reactions, cant wait for u to react to Mandalorian Its such a great and beautiful show.
"Finn. Pick. A. Girlfriend" I'm dying 😂
Don't forget to rank them when your all done! It's so fun to see how people rank them. Over the years I've seen all of the 11 films ranked as #1 by someone, somewhere. I have even seen Solo ranked as #1 - I love that. Everyone sees them "From a certain point of view"
11? There are only 3 Star Wars movies
Lord, I want to meet the person who pick ROS as their personal “fave”.
They might have not understood the SW story Lucas was trying to tell or they were 5 years old
I'll give you my list. 1. Return of the Jedi. 2. A New Hope. 3. Empire strikes back. 4. Rogue one. 5. Revenge of the Sith. 6. The Force Awakens. 7. Solo. 8. The Last Jedi. 9. Attack of the Clones. 10. The Phantom Menace. 11. Rise of Skywalker.
@@stevenpina1983 I have only see Ep9 at #1 a few times. 5, 6 and 3 are the most #1s or 'first place' I've seen. 1, 9 and Solo are the most common 'last' place. While 8 has many last place, it also gets A LOT of Top 3 places. It certainly is the strongest LOVE or HATE out of all the films.
I still think the OT is special and is way above the others (original versions especially!) but aside from Revenge of the Sith I still enjoy the sequel films more than the prequels. Honestly the only Star Wars movie I have a really hard time getting through is Attack of the Clones.
My Grandpa was the first one to show me Star Wars, and this final chapter came out the year after he died. I was crying in the theater. It really helped me close the end of the Skywalker story while having a last moment with him.
i dont know if this young lady realises how good she is, i really hope she gets a million followers.
"Display towels" will now be my substitute term for "MacGuffin" in everything I watch. Thank you!
You put more thoughts into the movies title than the writers did - yeah, i also thought Kylo would rise to destroy Palpatine since he IS the last Skywalker after Lukes and Leias passing.
"Under the display towels."
No.
"ONLY THIS BLADE TELLS."
Roger Guyett, visual effects supervisor: When you watch the movie you just want to believe that Carrie's there, and it's just completely natural within the scene."
I am so glad that you finally watched this Star Wars. I kept coming to your channel to see when you will finally show watching it.
I met Ian McDiarmid/Emperor Palpatine last month at a convention. He is the most kindest person to meet. The guy that threw the convention got to hang out at his toy store and had dinner with Ian. I was like he is so lucky to hang out with him
"I'm not sure how Chewie survived that."
Um, he was on another shuttle. That was why they said, "There was a second shuttle."
He literally said in the movie, there was another transport in the desert and it brought back a valuable prisoner.
I loved watching your reactions to Ben and Rey's scenes! They're definitely the best part of the new trilogy :) We need more of Ben! He shouldn't have died and fans were very disappointed by that.
And I'm her keeper."
Kenny Baker, the 3'8" actor who played the original R2-D2 also died that year.
Did you recognize Dominic Monaghan in a short seen? You know, Merry from LORD OF THE RING.
It's hard to remember how this played out in real time vs watching the films all back to back to back
Oh boy, oh boy! This one's gonna be interesting! 🤣🤣🤣
Good for you for finishing the series but I would have stopped after Return of the Jedi.
It's like, "After the first rumble in the dirt, *_why_* did you think the second one was going to be a good idea?"
When all the TROS dumpster fire rumors poured out before the release of the movie, I just had to laugh. At some point, it's just too comical to not enjoy the blaze.
@@extantsanity True. If they are smart, they'll stick to existing / established Star Wars lore (books, graphic novels, comics) that are fan-favorites for new series and movie material and ensure nothing they make is woke (assuming they like making money).
"Just Kiss Already!" ... During Rey and Kylo's lightsaber duel..... hahahaha, I died...... perfect.
The Yellow Lightsaber that Rey has at the end represents her as a guardian to the Jedi order.
Cassies reactions throughout the movie ---------->🙂🤔😃🤨😄😐😂🙄😍😱😡😅
The director (Abrams) confirmed a fan theory that Finn was actually trying to tell Rey that he was Force sensitive the whole movie. For some reason, they never included a scene of him clarifying or using the Force, but its where all of his feelings and hunches have come from in the trilogy, especially this last movie.
Thing is, it's not even that big of a reveal to hide for 3 fucking movies.
Which does nothing except expose how badly written these films were
That's kinda make sense why Finn is not confined to a wheelchair
He did use the force several times
34:50 I love how your smile freezes when Kylo dies! It's beautiful funny!
I had a laughflash! 😂 😂 😂
16:36 For that question you should probably check out "The Injured Stormtrooper", classic SW short fan film from the good old days. :)
At timestamp 31:46 is Wedge Antilles. The xwing fighter Red 2 from episode 4 and 6. The actor is Dennis Lawson uncle of Ewan Mcgregor.
Saw it once in theaters, and once with Rifftrax. Not sure I could sit through it again in full, but I'll give this reaction a watch.
He didn't fade away. He became a force ghost of his own will.
Fun fact. Kerri Russel (Zorri Bliss) and Adam Driver starred on Broadway together in Burn This in 2019 before this was released. I went and saw it, met both of them…
"Under the display towels..." - Rey. Classic Cassie! I fully laughed out loud.
Considering when you’re dead, and you’re a force ghost, you are one with the force. So of course you can use the force. You are the force.
Agreed, when Obi Wan said he couldn't interfere I figured The Whills/Force Priestesses prevented force ghosts from direct interaction with the galaxy's affairs.
@@BSM-vw6cf Or its more of a moral code, that their mortal time was up so they should only watch and occasionally guide when needed - but never interfere.
