It's crazy how much it sounds and responds like an SVT-CL and an 8x10 sometimes. I have since gotten a Darkglass B7K but it's really more of an overdrive for me. I don't think I'll ever let the Sansamp go.
I just bought an SVT-CL. I had one years ago and had an opportunity to buy one really cheap. After lugging it around for a couple gigs, I may end up, deciding to go back to a pedal? They do sound like 1 million bucks though 🤔
FYI…the bypass on the EBS MicroBass 3 is the filter/EQ bypass, not the compression bypass. Turning the compressor off happens when you just turn the knob to 0.
I have deep emotions regarding my Ampeg® SCR-DI Bass DI with Scrambler Bass Overdrive. On my baritone Gretsch hollowbody guitar even. The Lo Filter makes the meat fall off the bone.
I just discovered that thing on Reverb (I’ve been playing bass since ‘86, and I’ve never seen one before). It looks like the perfect all-in-one solution, but I’m prone to buy things and still always want more.
it seems like most of these preamps just repeat the same controls that are on the amp, with one or two bells and whistles thrown in. But some of them have a few good EQ controls, like sweepable mids and a compressor, which don't appear on many bass amps.
I just got rid of a of a preamp pedal not mentioned here because of distortion in line causes by the LED on the compression portion of the pedal. The EBS has that same issue looks like.
What puzzles me is how would i get 'my sound' if i have my own preset in my amp? Should i put my amp preset to flat so i could get 'my sound' with the preamp or what?
@@brettmatthias7094 just checked again and I'm absolutely sure it's a bb734a. You can see the yamaha logo on the headstock and the broadbass branding too.
Aguilar Tone Hammer Preamp is the greatest. I've been using it everywhere, recording or on stage. One another thing is; using all these preamps with precision sound is a big mistake. Also I am only one in the world who hate precision sound. Neck pickup sounds like double bass but. It's NOT.
Also, finally got done with the video. 😅 Personally, I think the two distortion/overdrive ones hit different. And the one with the tuner also piqued my interest. Kinda fire forreal. I was impressed.

My favorite is the EBS with a Peave vintage power amp and Ampeg 4'x10 1x15 a balance of old and new sound nice
Love my vintage SansAmp Bass DI, SVT in a box, ultra reliable...! 😎

@@Theweeze100 Keep it for recording man you'll kick yourself for giving it up. The pedal will do the job live.
Still got my trusty sansamp bddi...17 years and its never let me down 😊.
The bass bone - Da Swiss Army knife of Bass DI's - yeah buddy
I’ve just got a walrus bad water and loving it
I bought one and had to send it back. The hiss from the compressor and/or the drive was unbearable.
Magellan's pretty sweet..I like the drive on the EHX.
I hear you boi!!!!! That groove was pretty nice!!!!! Especially with the drive you threw on it.
Good groovin'!!!

I use the micro bass 3. Absolutely love the tone paired with an MTD Kingston super 5

Is there a reason why you didn't present the dsm humboldt bass station?
DO any of these have speaker emulations as well?
What’s the general consensus on Sansamp Tech 21 V2. Planning to buy one. Let me know guys, cheers 🍻
I've got an Atomic Bass Box in my truck as a back up. Never leave home without it!

Another fan of the Atomic Bass Box. An ABB paired with a Zoom MS-60B is my current rig.

What do you think, is the Battalion a worthy preamp or a budget compromise?

Aguilar rules! Ampeg SGT-DI is missing...
EHX nano Battalion has no XLR, that´s rigtht, but the 1/4"-Jack is allthough ballanced! (says EXH)
What is the black bass in the back right
Looks like a yamaha bb734a
@@Facu_Roldan doesn’t look like a Yamaha headstock but that could just be the angle

Its a preamp pedal with a built in DI. DI stands for "direct input". Technical terminology matters

None of them , I’m sorry. Maybe any Ampeg?
Oh dear......😮

Darkglass sounds surprisingly very weak
I wouldn’t buy any of these, they all sound pretty lame in the demo. I’m always looking for something better than what I have and this isn’t it.
You’ve given so much misinformation on these products. You clearly rushed thru this video.
