I bought a LetzQ rotisserie for my BGE large. I have a complaint about there being a slight freewheel on the engine. When I roasted the Christmas duck on the rotisserie, which was not quite in equilibrium, the skewer rotated freely and it hit the duck a little and the engine and could be heard hitting when the weight of the duck was free-falling a few degrees. Another anchored on/off button can be difficult to operate when the plastic is cold.
Per, if you bought the LetzQ in the UK from me, please get in touch about the motor. There may be a slight judder if your food isn’t balanced, but there shouldn’t be a ‘freewheel’. The motor is designed to both rotate the food and slow it when it isn’t balanced correctly.
For a Large Egg you need to remove the folding shelf and leave the braket on. We can supply wing nuts with the LetzQ to make this a 30 second job. You'd need to contact Big Green Egg to get these for their version. For the XL Egg you would need to remove the whole bracket and folding shelf from the Egg for both the LetzQ and Big Green Egg versions.
Stephen, you can't purchase the LetzQ in the US at the moment. However I have had quite a few customers buy from me and then arrange shipping via UPS (we don't organise this, we ask that you do it). You would need to replace the motor with a 110V one, so I do a slightly better deal on the rotisserie and take the motor out of the box. A replacement can be bought from Amazon: a.co/d/iWst9pU
Sadly they’re not available in the US. I’ve had US customers buy from me, arrange collection using UPS, and then replace the 240V motor with an off the shelf 110V one from Amazon.
I have had quite a few customers from the US buy from me and then arrange for UPS ship. They have sent me the labels etc to print and I then have dropped them off with UPS. They then buy a $18 replacement 110V motor from Amazon.
The large LetzQ is about £50 cheaper and the XL LetzQ £100 cheaper. The LetzQ’s are in stock, the BGE versions aren’t at the moment and won’t be for a while I hear.
Nice summary Nic

Does the BGE version fit on an egg with the foldable tables without the need to remove them, Nic?
No, it’s got exactly the same dimensions as the LetzQ.
